Arcticode AS

The Company Arcticode is developing an easy to use mobile order and payment service to help food and beverage venues capture feedback while at the same time creating better loyalty from guests by incentivizing feedback through loyalty points. The issue We solve an issue common in the bar, venue and club scene. Customer insight and feedback. There is often less dialogue between guests and staff, and guests these days demand more and more from every visit. This occurs especially in the younger generation starting with millennials and younger. They constantly seek the best experience and will move on from a venue quite fast if expectations are not meet. Most venues in both the food and beverage sector could benefit from having a simple solution to better capture feedback while at the same time providing a simple mobile order and payment solution. The Solution Our solution combines ordering and feedback into one service. The service lets you order and pay while out for food and drinks with your phone as this is becoming the preferred way today while also capturing feedback in-app which provides cash points. These can then be used for discounted meals, snacks, goods, drinks etc. (not alcoholic beverages – Norway edition). We create a win-win situation of having guests leave feedback while also being enrolled in a loyalty program which creates higher interest and recurring visits. Why we do what we do Having worked in the food and beverage service sector you may encounter a lot of less friendly feedback at times, but this is often individuals who do not represent the majority of guests. But when you just don’t know this can make a workday long and tiresome, and rarely inspire anyone to provide a better service. But regardless, you start to understand your guests even better, you can facilitate for an even better service and experience, and this will in turn create a better day for both staff and guest. As a guest, you simply want what you came for, a good experience and a good service. Regardless of what the situation for the staff is. Having a simple way to both order and leave feedback while gaining something from it will create a mutually beneficial situation. And that’s what we have in common. We all want to have a good experience. This is why we do what we do. To create the best possible outcome for both.

After a visit to Canada in 2012, two sumptuous, LED flashing ugly christmas sweaters came with us home to winter Oslo, Norway. The sweaters evoked this childlike happiness over the Christmas celebration, both in us and in everyone else when we wore them to Christmas parties and we noticed that we wanted more of this feeling. We simply wanted more of such sweaters! It was easier said than done in 2012. But, if you do not find what you are looking for, you can make it yourself...so then we did it. Although it took its time. With our brand 'Krismis' https://krismis.com, we want to share this sparkling, warm Christmas feeling with you. This way you can also have the Christmas atmosphere in your wardrobe all year round, and always have something to wear at the Christmas party, not matter what. We simply love Christmas sweaters! About Us: We are an Oslo-based independent entertainment and media production company, founded in 2019. Our team members have backgrounds from such diverse fields as banking, finance, business administration, advertising, film production and games development. We also have extensive experience with successful social media influencing, content creation and community building, particularly on Youtube and Facebook. The Problem: Self-actualization is becoming increasingly difficult in a changing and tumultuous world. For many, the cumulative effects of pandemic crisis, financial recession, political polarization and a hardened job market is frustration, and a greater need for entertainment and escapism as a means of self-actualization through vicarious experiences. Our vision is to fulfill this growing need for self-actualization. Our mission is to develop globally scalable products that fulfill the needs the marketplace does not adequately cater to today, and which are capable of surviving both recessions and pandemic crisis. Product/Solution: Our product is entertainment brands, based on proprietary video game properties. We aim to establish these brands first as videogame properties, and then use the passion and investment of gaming audiences as the gateway to expand these videogame properties into Transmedia franchises - including comics, third party merchandise and apparel, as well as licensed adaptations in other media, such as film and animation. Opportunity: The Gaming Market is global from day one, with digital gaming storefronts such as Steam, PSN and XBOX Live retaining millions of existing customers worldwide. Gamers are a heavily invested group of customers with both a high willingness to pay, as well as established networks of influencers and discussion forums, which greatly facilitates advertising efforts. Safedesign AS

Safedesign AS was established in 2018 in the wake of a booming solar industry in Norway. Solar installers need an improved system to safeguard the workers. Typical solutions, such as scaffolding are time-consuming and costly. Safedesign AS is growing, and taking market shares in the solar sector, but also in telecom and refurbishment. We need more competent people on the team to scale the business. We need more hands in the areas of economy, marketing, sales, and hands-on roof work. We are in the process of further developing our product to make an impact in general roof refurbishment. This is a well-established market, we see great benefits with our product compared with scaffolding, especially in urban areas.

Whip er et nytt sosialt medium som muliggjør lavterskel kommunikasjon med nye mennesker i nærheten. Til bruk når for å bli kjent med folk på skolen, når du er ute på byen o.l. Ta et bilde, legg til en tekst og send til en tilfeldig innenfor en satt radius. Du kan også sette preferanser som alder og kjønn på mottaker. Bilde kan åpnes og blir borte etter noen sekunder. På denne måten er samtalen uforpliktende, og å bryte isen er lett. Teamet vårt består nå av to gira karer som gjør ting som er nytt for oss begge, ironisk nok kan ingen av oss tech, og kan dermed ikke endre vårt eget produkt. Vi ser stort potensiale og vet at vi kan komme langt med en gang vi får en tech-person med oss!

Tidetec AS

The Pitch Most tidal power plants today generate power only in one direction. Projected, next-generation tidal power plants with two-way production have sub-optimal production. Tidetec patented technology improves efficiency by 11-22% of the most cost effective tidal turbine technology by obtaining optimal efficiency both ways and pumping efficiency. This is achieved by integrating the turbine into a rotating turret. The turning mechanism is patented, and has received international recognition. The What Tidetec can kick-start a huge UK Market The How Tidetec has developed a fully functional scale model prototype of the turning mechanism. The turning mechanism prototype has been successfully tested in sea water for two months. Prototyping has shown feasibility of the concept and the model turbine simulations and testing confirm turbine efficiencies much higher than state of the art traditional turbines for 2-way hydropower. In summary, prototyping engineering, feasibility studies and cost estimations of the Tidetec concept have proven major efficiency increase compared to traditional concepts. The results show that the Tidetec concept is potentially disruptive technology for 2-way hydropower in Tidal lagoons and barrages, and can kick-start this market. TEAM Tidetec has built a competent team guided by its co-founder and CEO. Tidetec team has been balanced to meet the commercial phase and Tidetec heading for an establishment of The Tidetec Two-way Hydropower Consortium consisting of EPCI partner, State funding partner GIEK /Export Credit and sub-suppliers to be able to deliver for Tidal range projects. PARTNERS Tidetec core function is development of market and technology within two-way hydropower. For everything else we use our trusted network of partners. From 2018 Tidetec is collaborating with Engineering company Femkuber AS. The Tidetec Two-way Hydropower Consortium consisting of EPCI partner, State funding partner GIEK /Export Credit and sub-suppliers to be able to deliver for Tidal range projects is expected to be in operation during 2018. Tidetec have signed MoU collaboration agreement with several, renowned international developers, turbine producers and sub-suppliers. MARKET The Tidetec market is 2-way hydropower, which means the tidal range market, with a focus on the tidal lagoon/tidal barrier/flood defence industry. Studies indicate a potential global market for Tidal Range hydropower up to 30Bn€ (investments). Tidetec's concept is not limited by turbine type, MW or geographical area. The Why Tidetec has developed and patented technology that can kick-start the Tidal Barrier and Tidal Lagoon market.

Ocean Industry Forum Oslofjord

Ocean Industry Forum Oslofjord is the Oslo chapter of "Maritimt Forum". It's a not-for profit association with an aim to encourage innovation in the ocean industries and to support ocean start-ups and help them become scale-ups. Most of the maritime, offshore and other ocean industries are in big need of innovation, and we have a small, but significant enough role to play in that respect. We will work with other actors, like The Hub, in the Oslofjord region and beyond, to achieve this goal.
