Cystotech ApS is a Danish MedTech company developing a medical software support tool based on artificial intelligence to help detect and categorize bladder cancer. The Company is a spin-out of Aarhus University/ Aarhus University Hospital and was founded in October 2021. The founding team has deep academic expertise in various fields of both medicine and AI, covering machine learning, Computer Vision, and business development, among others. Bladder Cancer is the 5th most common cancer type worldwide in men and has the highest lifetime treatment cost per patient of all cancer types. Bladder cancer has a high recurrence and progression rate. Worldwide 1.65 M people live with the disease, and 550.000 new cases are diagnosed worldwide every year. In Denmark, approx. 2000 new cases are diagnosed with bladder cancer every year, and approx. 20.000 patients live with the disease in Denmark.

As a former researcher, I also experienced this problem on first hand, and there were no solution. Trialtree is a platform that finds and pre-screens participants for clinical research projects. Making it possible for all health related research projects to get the participants they need. By using over own growing participant database, SoMe promotion and in collaboration with patient organisations, we strive to be the most efficient participant recruitment platform in the world.
