Maritime Stars Accelerator

Maritime Stars is an accelerator program for Danish startups with innovative solutions for the maritime industry. Each year, the maritime industry selects ten of Denmark's best startups, which pitch their businesses for a chance to join the program. With only five available spots, only the five highest-rated startups among the ten pitching candidates are admitted to Maritime Stars each year. The pitch event will take place on June 11 in Aalborg.Since the industry itself decides, based on the pitches on the day of the event, which five startups will join this year's cohort, applicants only need to complete a short application form in advance to be considered among the ten startups selected to pitch. The application deadline for the Maritime Stars pitch event is May 21, 2025, at 12:00 PM. – Send the application form to Allan Hejslet, Project Manager, at ahe@ehnj.dk. Want to know more about the program, and if it is relevant for your company? Let's get in touch for a coffee or virtual meeting! Telephone: + 45 30 13 30 43 Mail: ahe@ehnj.dk

Bounce

Short term storage on every block of the city, hosted by local businesses Bounce is an app that lets you find a place to leave your bags or luggage when you’re on the go. We launched in 2019 on Product Hunt as #1 product of the day and have been growing 40% monthly since then. We're backed by top tier investors and are a small scrappy team with big plans. Read our story below and get in touch! Inspiration The founders have collectively lived in 15 cities and traveled to 60+ countries. We know how annoying it is to have your things dragging you down. I personally own less than 3 suitcases worth of belongings. Lightbulb Moment A few years ago, I was getting drinks with co-workers after work on a Friday. A friend said he’d join, but had to go all the way out of the way to drop his work bag at home. I thought “what a waste of time, there's got to be a better way.” Problem People spend so much time planning their days (and their lives) around the things that they own. The status quo when you land in a new city is to go straight to the airport just to drop your stuff off, even if it doesn’t make sense otherwise. Solution Tapping into local hotels and shops, we can open up storage space nearly everywhere in a city. Open the Bounce app and find a safe and secure place to leave your things (delivery back to where you’ll be later coming soon!). Key Features: * 24/7 storage locations * Secured and insured * Easy pricing: $6 / day * 24/7 customer support * Get to know your local shops! Vision: This is just the first step in creating what we hope will one day be a paradigm-shift product. Our end goal is for Bounce to be the interface between you and your physical things. Use Bounce to summon your things to you or away from you. We could talk your ear off for hours about what this can be long term.

Electricity Maps

Electricity Maps provides actionable electricity data for more than 200 regions. We help businesses more effectively reduce their emissions, and enable products and services to differentiate their offerings by empowering end-users to be more carbon-aware. As wind and solar production fluctuate throughout the day, this information needs to be dynamic and updated in real-time. As this real-time information about the physical origin of electricity will be scrutinized and challenged by many parties, the effort has to be collaborative, open, and transparent. This is what motivated the creation of Electricity Maps. It started as a simple real-time data visualization in June 2016 and turned into a comprehensive data platform with high scientific integrity. More than 40,000 people use our app on a daily basis and market leaders like Google and Microsoft, are using our API for extensive projects in order to reach their climate goals and help their users take action against climate change. Our goal: a truly decarbonized electricity system. To get there, we will organize the world's electricity information, and use it to drive the transition toward a truly decarbonized electricity system.

The PeopleFirst Standard™

The PeopleFirst Standard™ Psychological Safety. Measured. Proven. The Problem Psychological safety is now a legal obligation in 30+ countries. ISO 45003, Danish BEK 1406, the EU Framework Directive, UK HSE Management Standards, Canadian CSA Z1003, and Safe Work Australia all require organisations to assess and evidence psychosocial risk at work. None of them prescribe how. So organisations reach for what they have: engagement surveys. Likert scales that ask people how they feel. Global engagement sits at 21% despite billions spent annually on these tools. Regulators, boards, and insurers increasingly know the difference between an opinion score and a defensible evidence base. The organisations that can't tell the difference are accumulating liability. The measurement approach is broken. We're fixing it. The Solution The PeopleFirst Standard™ is the first independently certifiable standard for psychological health and safety at work. Not a survey. Not a wellness tool. A standard, built on the same logic as ISO 9001 for quality or B Corp for social responsibility. The platform delivers a 25-question scenario-based behavioural diagnostic across 5 dimensions, measuring what people actually do under pressure, not what they say when asked nicely. Results are mapped clause-by-clause to ISO 45003:2021, BEK nr. 1406/2020, EU Directive 89/391/EEC, CSA Z1003-13, HSE Management Standards, and Safe Work Australia Code of Practice simultaneously. Organisations achieving Level 3 or above on our 5-level maturity model earn the independently certifiable PeopleFirst Standard™ mark. Those below receive a full diagnostic report with prioritised, evidence-based recommendations. For Danish organisations, the assessment serves as a validated psychosocial supplement to the mandatory APV process, providing the evidence base that Arbejdstilsynet's own framework requires but does not supply. GDPR compliant by design: no PII collected, sessions destroyed on submission, 20-respondent anonymity floor. Advisory services delivered by a separate team, after the report is issued help organisations act on what they find. Why It Matters 136 independent studies confirm psychological safety predicts team learning, innovation, and performance. (Frazier et al., Personnel Psychology, 2017). Work-related stress costs Danish employers €1.17 billion annually. The conditions that produce these outcomes are measurable and improvable. Where We Are The platform is live at thepeoplefirststandard.com. Active pilot conversations are underway with major Danish employers. The team brings two decades of leadership across military, Ørsted, Novo Nordisk, and startups backed by advisors spanning occupational psychology, enterprise sales, and organisational safety. We are applying for Innofounder funding and building the team that takes this global.

uniclub

We're creating a digital study abroad start-up that aims to increase mobility by boosting the encouragement among students within higher education to study abroad. Another motivation for the project was the Danish government's goal of sending 50% of students within higher education abroad to incorporate an international dimension into their danish study program. Given the tools provided by the Government, we aim to educate, consult and help students go take a semester abroad to develop their personal profile. Today's way is old fashioned - paperwork, stamps, mails ( the slow kind 🐌) and loads of Visa's and questions. Our platform gives the student the step by step process needed to get any bigger task done. Once signed up, we make sure that you have all the credit eligible courses you need from our online course catalogue, a signed learning agreement, an insurance and an acceptance letter. All in less than a week and without leaving your keyboard. We started a digital study abroad agency based on our own experiences studying abroad. Having been at a guest university gave us a big boost in our competencies, which we would encourage anyone to do! This is why we developed uniclub, the best way to study abroad.
