Team & role overview

GoWish is a global brand with 18+ million users - and we're looking for the person who takes full ownership of it.

As Head of Brand, you will report to our Chief Growth Officer and be responsible for who GoWish is, how we sound, and what we leave in people's minds. You set the direction, you drive execution, and you hold everyone - internally and externally - to the brand we're building.

You will lead brand strategy and campaigns, own our social media presence and external communications, and work closely with our Design Director to ensure the visual expression lands right in every commercial context. You'll have executing roles in the team supporting you on SoMe and content. Your job is to lead, set the bar, and make it happen.

Responsibilities:

  • Own and drive GoWish's brand strategy, tone of voice, and messaging across all markets (DK, SE, NO, US and beyond)

  • Ensure the brand is experienced consistently and with impact - across SoMe, campaigns, PR, app, and offline channels

  • Lead and execute campaigns end-to-end: from brief to launch across TV, radio, outdoor, digital, and social

  • Own GoWish's external communications and PR - proactive media relations, press handling, and brand exposure

  • Lead the Social Media team and set the strategic and creative direction for GoWish's external presence

  • Brief and approve design deliverables for campaigns and marketing materials in close collaboration with the Design Director - design ownership sits with the Design Director, but you ensure commercial execution is sharp and on-brand with assistance from a graphic designer in the team

  • Track and report on brand performance: awareness, engagement, brand lift, and positioning across markets

  • Be GoWish's internal and external voice on brand direction and principles

What we’re looking for 🌟

We imagine that you have:

  • You have 5–9 years of experience from agency or in-house brand and marketing roles - ideally both

  • You've built brands. You think strategically and still move things forward yourself

  • You're strong on social media and understand PR dynamics

  • You understand the interplay between paid, earned, and owned

  • You have a sharp aesthetic sensibility and high standards for brand expression - without needing to be a designer

  • You're structured, self-driven, and comfortable managing complexity across multiple stakeholders and markets

  • You communicate clearly and persuasively in both Danish and English

  • A collaborative mindset, attention to detail, and willingness to iterate and improve

GoWish was originally launched in 2015 as a wishlist gimmick by the national Danish-Swedish postal service, PostNord. In 2020, it was spun out by VC Dotcom Capital, and has since the launch of its international app GoWish in 2023 evolved into a global social shopping phenomenon. GoWish is a digital platform for wish lists and inspiration, where users can easily create wishes, as well as collect and share their wish lists and inspiration lists. With a large universe of inspiration, the app is a Social Shopping platform designed to inspire users to discover products, new ideas, and trends – and to add wishes directly in the app or from any online store. Users can create wish lists for birthdays, Christmas, weddings, and any other occasion, and share them with friends and family. In this way, GoWish serves as a social tool that makes it easy to find the perfect gift while avoiding duplicate gifts and unnecessary returns.
