We operate from Denmark with subsidiaries in Portugal and the US, giving us an international structure where the finance function plays a critical role across the entire value chain.

About the Role

We’re looking for a Finance Associate for a 25–30 hour position who will be the primary driver of our finance function. You will be responsible for ensuring that day-to-day financial operations run efficiently and in a structured way, reporting directly to the COO.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives on responsibility, structure, and routine tasks—while also being motivated to improve processes and find smarter ways of working.

You’ll work closely with the rest of the organization, contributing to daily operations, financial oversight, and analyses that support decision-making. At the same time, we’re curious about how new technologies - including AI - can strengthen our finance function, and you’ll have the opportunity to help drive that development.

Key Responsibilities

• Daily bookkeeping and reconciliation of balance sheet accounts for our Danish entity

• Preparing payments across our entities in Denmark, Portugal, and the US

• Accounts payable management and light accounts receivable follow-up

• Contributing to month-end closing and financial reporting

• Assisting with annual accounts

• VAT reporting in Denmark and internationally

• Supporting the organization with calculations, business cases, and analyses

• Contributing to process optimization—including exploring and testing the use of AI in finance

• Various ad hoc tasks

  
  

About You

• You have a relevant accounting background and preferably a few years of experience

• You are comfortable working in financial systems (we use e-conomic, Pleo, and Corpay)

• You are strong in Excel / Google Sheets and enjoy working with data

• You are structured, detail-oriented, and take ownership of your work

• You thrive on routine tasks—and appreciate when everything reconciles

• You are curious about how work can be done smarter (including using new tools)

• You are fluent in both Danish and English
