Become a Speakers & Media Coordinator for TechBBQ’s Head of PR & Communications and assist on all the important tasks leading up to the Summit.

We are currently looking for a motivated individual to join our team from May, working between 21 and 37 hours per week through August. Working three times per week, increasing to five times per week in August.

Since 2013, TechBBQ has worked to support and strengthen the Nordic ecosystem for entrepreneurship and innovation, based on the distinctive Nordic values of openness, inclusion, trust, and meeting each other at eye level. TechBBQ is Scandinavia's largest startup & innovation summit!

Your Role

As a volunteer at TechBBQ, you will be part of a dynamic team contributing to various aspects of the event and its preparations. On the communications team, we have a very important role, as we will be communicating all the necessary information to the attending media, both from Denmark and internationally. As a Speakers & Media Coordinator, you will be supporting all of our matchmaking efforts in ensuring that our VIP attendees, from both the speaker and media get the chance to interact with each other. Specifically, you’ll be the main point of contact for them both to ensure we get as many stories from the main summit as possible, as the media attend mostly to talk to various speakers who get on stage.

Your Tasks May Include:

• Supporting marketing and communications efforts.

• Main lead of our matchmaking efforts, including the event planning and coordination.

• Handling various ad hoc tasks.

• Providing on-site event support during the summit.

We Are Looking for Someone Who:

• Is motivated and eager to learn

• Ability to manage complex tasks independently, with strong project management skills and a high level of attention to detail.

• Is a team player

• Has a passion for entrepreneurship and innovation

Nice to Have (But Not Required):

• Experience with event management, coordination and VIP stakeholders

• Knowledge of email communication and complex planning and matchmaking

• Previous event planning or communication experience
