One of our great colleagues is leaving, and we are therefore looking for a Compliance Officer to join our team at Coinify.
You will join a small, hands-on compliance team and work closely with our MLRO, while collaborating daily with colleagues across the business, including Customer Service and Sales. The role is broad and operational, covering AML, IT compliance, and fintech-related processes, and sits at the intersection of financial crime, technology, and fintech operations.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working hands-on with compliance, takes responsibility, and is motivated by improving how compliance works in practice through good decisions, better processes, and smart use of tools.
Day-to-day operational compliance tasks across AML and general compliance
Customer onboarding, transaction reviews, and risk-based assessments
Alert handling and approval of payments and transactions
Assessments of complex ownership and control structures, including UBO reviews
Practical use of risk models and risk scoring
Support on IT- and technology-related compliance topics
Close collaboration with the MLRO and other internal stakeholders
Identifying opportunities for process improvements, including the use of automation and AI where relevant
Experience with compliance and/or AML, preferably from a regulated environment (e.g. bank, pension, financial institution, fintech)
A relevant educational background (e.g. law, business, finance, economics, IT, or similar). Candidates coming directly from higher education may also be considered
A clean criminal record
Experience with or a solid understanding of onboarding, ongoing monitoring, alert handling, and approval of payments and transactions, including UBO assessments
Understanding of risk models, risk scoring, and risk-based decision-making
Interest in both AML and IT/technology-related compliance
Motivation to build a career within compliance and take on increasing responsibility over time
Professional maturity, sound judgement, and accountability
Ability to collaborate across teams and stakeholders
We are an informal and pragmatic organisation, where roles are not defined by rigid job descriptions. As a smaller company, we work with a strong sense of shared ownership, and you are expected to take initiative and run with tasks — even when they don’t fit neatly into a predefined role.
The role requires on-site presence at least three days per week, as close collaboration and daily operations are key. At the same time, we offer flexibility when needed.
Our office is located in Industriens Hus, centrally in Copenhagen, with easy access to train and metro.
Coinify’s strongest asset is our brand and reputation. Compliance is not a side function — it is a core part of how we operate.
This role is ideal for someone who values learning, responsibility, and professional development, and who wants to build a strong foundation in compliance within the crypto and fintech sector.
