We are seeking a Senior Marketing Manager to lead strategic marketing for TechBBQ’s events, campaigns and year-round community initiatives.
As Senior Marketing Manager you will own the development and execution of marketing strategies that grow audience engagement, increase ticket and partner revenue, and amplify TechBBQ’s brand across local and international ecosystems. You will collaborate closely with programming, commercial, partnerships and operations teams to deliver integrated campaigns, optimise conversion across channels and measure performance. This is a hands-on role requiring strong campaign leadership, creativity, data literacy and experience scaling marketing initiatives for events or B2B/B2C tech audiences.
Develop and implement annual and campaign-level marketing strategies to drive awareness, ticket sales, sponsor fulfilment and community growth.
Plan, execute and optimise multi-channel campaigns including email, social, content, PR, paid acquisition and partnerships to meet KPIs.
Lead content planning and storytelling for event programmes, speaker promotion and thought leadership that resonates with founders, investors and corporate partners.
Oversee marketing calendar, campaign assets, creative briefs and delivery timelines; ensure consistent brand voice and high-quality output across channels.
Manage digital channels and website performance, working with external agencies or internal developers to improve conversion, SEO and user experience.
Use data and analytics to set targets, track performance, produce regular reports and recommend optimisations to improve ROI and channel efficiency.
Collaborate with commercial and partnerships teams to create integrated activation plans that meet partner objectives and enhance attendee experience.
Manage external agencies and freelancers where required, ensuring deliverables meet timelines, budgets and quality standards.
Represent TechBBQ at industry events and stakeholder meetings to promote our programmes and build marketing collaborations.
Proven experience (typically5+ years) in marketing roles, preferably within events, media, technology or startup ecosystems.
Strong strategic thinking with a hands-on approach to campaign execution and the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; comfortable presenting plans and results to senior leadership and partners.
Experienced in digital marketing channels, CRM-driven email marketing, content marketing and paid media strategies.
Data-driven mindset with proven experience using analytics and CRM tools to set targets, forecast and improve campaign performance.
Creative problem-solver who can develop compelling content and activation ideas that engage diverse audiences.
Collaborative team player who can work across functions to align marketing with commercial and programme goals.
Relevant degree or equivalent experience in marketing, communications, digital media or a related field.
Experience working with marketing automation and CRM platforms (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce) and proficiency with analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Looker Studio).
Experience planning and executing events marketing or large-scale campaign launches.
Strong copywriting and content development skills; familiarity with CMS and basic HTML advantageous.
Demonstrable budget management experience and experience working with external agencies and suppliers.
