We are seeking a Senior Partnerships Manager focused on new business partnerships to help grow our commercial pipeline and build long-term strategic relationships.
As Senior Partnerships Manager you will lead the identification, development and closing of new partnership opportunities across events, sponsorships and strategic initiatives. You will work closely with leadership, the programming and commercial teams to shape partnership propositions, negotiate commercial terms and deliver measurable value for partners and TechBBQ. This is a commercially focused role requiring strong relationship-building skills, excellent deal execution and a proven track record of bringing new business to scale.
Own the end-to-end new business sales cycle: lead generation, outreach, proposal development, negotiation and contract close for commercial partnerships.
Develop compelling partnership propositions that align partner objectives with TechBBQ’s audience, content and activation opportunities.
Build and manage a healthy pipeline of prospects and prioritise opportunities to meet revenue targets and strategic goals.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (events, programming, marketing, operations and finance) to ensure seamless delivery of partner commitments and activation plans.
Negotiate commercial agreements, scope of work and performance KPIs; ensure contracts reflect agreed deliverables and commercial terms.
Maintain strong partner relationships post-sale to drive renewals, upsells and long-term strategic alignment.
Produce commercial forecasts, pipeline reports and partner performance analysis to inform decision-making and optimise revenue generation.
Represent TechBBQ externally at meetings and industry events to generate leads and raise brand visibility.
Continuously refine go-to-market approaches, pricing models and partnership packages based on market feedback and competitor insight.
Proven experience (typically5+ years) in partnerships, sponsorship sales or business development within events, media, technology or related sectors.
Strong commercial acumen with a demonstrable track record of winning and scaling new business partnerships and meeting revenue targets.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills; comfortable presenting to senior executives and negotiating complex deals.
Highly organised and self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple opportunities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Data-driven mindset; able to use CRM systems, produce accurate forecasts and translate metrics into action.
Creative problem-solver who can design bespoke partner activations that deliver measurable ROI.
Collaborative team player who can work across functions to deliver outstanding partner experiences.
Relevant degree or equivalent experience in sales, business development, commercial partnerships or related field.
Experience working with sponsorship packages, event activations or integrated marketing partnerships.
Familiarity with CRM platforms (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce) and proficiency with MS Office / Google Workspace.
Experience negotiating commercial contracts and working with legal/finance to finalise terms.
