We’re now opening a Working Student position for motivated people who want to develop as Business Technologists in our Solutions & Delivery team. This role is part-time (15–20 hours/week) with full flexibility during exam periods.

What you will do

As a Business Technologist, you sit at the intersection of business, product, data and light engineering. Your job is to deeply understand customer needs and turn them into real solutions with VAEV.

In this role, you will:

🧠 Solve real business problems

• Understand customer processes, data, and challenges

• Map workflows, uncover inefficiencies, and structure solutions

• Translate business requirements into functional systems

🛠 Build business applications (no classical coding required)

• Use VAEV’s AI-assisted platform to build internal tools

• Configure data models, flows, logic, automations, and interfaces

• Test, refine, and ship production-ready systems

🤝 Work directly with customers

• Run discovery and scoping sessions

• Lead small projects from idea → delivery

• Train users and guide them through rollout

• Become a trusted advisor on digitalisation and automation

🚀 Shape our product

• Provide feedback to our engineering team

• Suggest new features and improvements

• Help us understand what high-value customers actually need

Your background

You do not need a computer science degree. Most successful people in this role come from:

• Business administration, economics, finance, supply chain, or strategy

• Management consulting or analyst roles

• Data/BI or digital transformation teams

• Operations or project-based roles where they improved processes

We expect that you:

• Think analytically and enjoy problem solving

• Can understand business processes quickly

• Communicate clearly with stakeholders

• Have an interest in technology, automation, and AI tools

• Can own a project from start to finish

• Enjoy working in fast-paced environments with autonomy

If you’ve built dashboards, automated a workflow, learned a new tool yourself, or solved a messy business process before — that’s a huge plus.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with data tools (PowerBI, Excel models, SQL, Python etc.)

• Experience in ERP, pricing, logistics, finance, or operations

• Interest in AI, automation, or low-code/no-code tools

• Prior consulting or customer-facing experience
