As an Account Executive, You’ll…

We’re looking for a proactive, resourceful Account Executive who can thrive without a fixed playbook. In this role, you will:

  • Close New Business: Own net new ARR by bringing in new logos and expanding existing ones (renewals are handled separately). You’ll need to be familiar with a land-and-expand approach - starting with a team or use case at a large organization, then growing adoption across departments and geographies to deepen relationships and increase deal size.

  • Generate Pipeline: Drive outbound prospecting to build new opportunities and qualify inbound leads, quickly identifying, prioritizing, and developing the most promising opportunities.

  • Champion Our Brand: Represent Electricity Maps as a trusted advisor in the market, with the credibility to engage senior technical and commercial stakeholders.

  • Shape and Focus Our Sales Motion: Collaborate with marketing, customer success, and product to refine messaging, identify winning patterns, and build scalable processes—while also helping define which use cases are most replicable and where to focus resources, strengthening our playbook rather than inventing from scratch.

This is a role for someone who relishes the challenge of building pipeline and closing deals, while also helping define the best practices and focus areas for the team.

What You Bring

  • Sales Experience: At least 3 years as an Account Executive in technology (SaaS, platform, etc.) or energy sectors managing the full sales cycle.

  • Early-Stage Building: Proven success in complex, evolving markets where there’s no established playbook.

  • Technical Curiosity: Willingness to learn and sell effectively to technical decision-makers.

  • Builder’s Mindset: Results-driven, experimental, and comfortable advancing without perfect information.

  • Collaborative Spirit: Share insights openly to help the team learn and win together.

Role Details

  • Full-time, in-office role in Copenhagen. We value in-person collaboration and culture-building, while also providing flexibility when needed.

  • Competitive compensation with a 50/50 fixed/variable split, plus stock options.

We help businesses more effectively reduce their emissions, and enable products and services to differentiate their offerings by empowering end-users to be more carbon-aware.
