Folk Kombucha is a start-up kombucha brewery located in Copenhagen’s Meatpacking District, established to change the kombucha market and perfect the art of fermentation without any compromises. We are continually defining new principles of brewing and setting new standards for the taste and quality of the beverage. From bottling to brewing, all aspects of production are carried out in our Copenhagen brewery to craft the best unpasteurized, living kombucha possible.
The kombucha industry is an exciting and rapidly growing market. Our products are based organic, high-grade ingredients and Nordic rooted flavors. Drinkability and consistency are key focuses when working with an unpasteurized beverage, and we aim to keep improving the quality of our kombucha and processes, with a willingness to experiment and push ourselves as we grow. We are seeking seeking a motivated and detail-oriented brewing industry professional to join our production team. As a brewer at Folk Kombucha, you will become a key part of our production during the company's growth stage alongside our head brewer.
We offer a position that requires attention to detail and approaching each day with energy, hustle and a can-do attitude is key to success at Folk. You must have years of former commercial brewing experience, and a positive, upbeat attitude. We are specifically searching for candidates that thrives in a fast paced work environment, and is excited to help us make the best beer we can.
Handling all aspects of brewery production, including fermentation management, maintaining appropriate processes, lab analysis, packaging, bottling, CIP, and upholding our brewery standards.
Ensuring the production schedule is followed and monitoring ingredient inventories.
Managing stock, including raw materials and finished goods, order fulfillment for trade and retail, diligent record-keeping, and warehousing.
Ensuring safe and efficient brewery operations, adhering to good manufacturing practices, following all food safety directives, filling out appropriate forms and records, accurately reporting production activities, handling logistics schedules, and effectively communicating with colleagues.
Cleaning, operating and performing routine maintenance on our brewery and equipment
Working closely with our head brewer to facilitate daily brewing tasks and keeping the brewhouse clean and organized.
Participating in and representing Folk Kombucha at festivals, if needed.
+2 years of insight and experience within the field of commercial brewing, technical ingenuity, or another relevant technical background, in a fast-paced production environment
Ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures and maintain high-quality standards in all areas of commercial production.
Experience with working hot, cold, and hazardous equipment and materials responsibly.
Physical strength is essential as this job includes frequent lifting, standing, and repetitive motions for extended periods of time. Must be able to frequently lift up to 25 kg
Ability to multitask at a high pace and maintain focus on specific quality parameters while meeting production goals.
Highly organized, structured, and good time management skills.
A self-starter with a strong sense of initiative and attention to detail.
Ability to remain calm, flexible, and work through setbacks and emergencies.
Effective communication with the brewing team to keep the day and week organized, running on time, and maintaining a good workflow. Ability to work both independently and within a team with minimal supervision
Exceptional attention to cleanliness, a lover of a clean and organized work environment
Fluent English language skills.
Computer proficiency (Word, Excel, etc.)
