About Us:

REDUCED is committed to producing sustainable high-quality upcycled food ingredients, and we need a dedicated Quality & Safety Manager to ensure safety and quality complying with FSSC 22000. The focus of the role will be biased towards obtaining an FSSC 22000 certification as a cornerstone in setting REDUCED up as a trusted and innovative supplier in the food industry.


Position Overview:

You’ll be pivotal in implementing and maintaining a robust quality control system that is compliant with FSSC 22000 standards. The role thus requires project management skills, cross-functional abilities, and an in-depth understanding of what it takes to build and operate an efficient quality management system and how to work impactfully with safety.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Be the voice and anchor of quality and safety In all relevant matters, fora and processes ensure that safety and quality are on the agenda, such as new product development, vendor selection, product testing protocols, quality reviews with management, product labels, etc. Take the lead on FSSC 22000 certification: Obtaining this certificate is a key target for REDUCED and you will take a leading role in developing, implementing, and maintaining the FSSC 22000 quality system and certification.  

  • Enhance compliance: Oversee compliance with HACCP protocols and e.g. update production flow charts; conduct supplier audits to ensure adherence to REDUCED and regulatory standards.

  • Build capabilities: Across REDUCED build needed capabilities in safety and quality entailing training in relevant matters, root cause analysis, defining quality standards, and regulatory requirements, and fostering a culture of quality and safety.

  • Continuous Improvement: Drive quality improvement projects, develop workflows, and monitor quality control activities to ensure top-tier standards are consistently met.


Key success criteria :

  • Take the lead and drive progress to enhance quality and safety mindset.

  • Drive FSSC certification project efforts.

  • Build quality and safety infrastructure and a setup that fits the needs of REDUCED. 

  • Perform proactive risk assessment and push for mitigating actions.

  • Ensure that non-conformities are captured and learned from.

  • Provide relevant training and drive change management for teams and colleges.


Who We’re Looking For:

You are structured with a sharp eye for detail, analytical, and operate with a proactive approach to maintaining quality and safety standards. Furthermore, given the breadth of the role,  you are comfortable managing several priorities and working cross-functionally.


The ideal candidate has the following qualifications:

  • Minimum a Bachelor’s degree in Quality Assurance, Food Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.

  • Proven experience in quality assurance and control, within the food industry.

  • Strong knowledge of quality management systems like ISO 9001 or FSSC 22000.

  • Familiar with how to structure, set up, and manage projects.

  • Experience with audits, inspections, and implementing corrective actions.

  • Familiarity with EU and Danish food regulations.

  • Knowledge of statistical analysis and quality improvement methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean).

  • Fluent in English; Danish language skills are an advantage.
