Head of Production

The REDUCED team is growing and we are currently recruiting for an experienced Head of Production to join our team.

The ideal candidate will plan, lead, direct, and monitor all production activities to maximize the use of the organization’s resources, ensuring the delivery of finished goods that meet customer demand and established production specifications. The Production Manager will also be responsible for implementing, maintaining, and enhancing robust control procedures to ensure the highest quality products are produced in compliance with strict HACCP guidelines.

The Role:

  • Oversee all aspects of production facility performance, focusing on maximizing efficiencies and labor utilization.

  • Lead the implementation of the company’s Quality Standards throughout the facility, ensuring consistent adherence to food safety and quality standards.

  • Collaborate and engage with all relevant departments and stakeholders.

  • Generate and manage production and operational data, using insights to drive continuous improvement.

  • Monitor, measure, and control all costs to stay within budget.

  • Apply Lean and continuous improvement principles across all processes.

  • Maintain and enhance the production facility to ensure constant readiness for both announced and unannounced audits by the Danish food & veterinary administration and certification bodies such as FSSC22000.

  • Make decisive decisions in fast-paced situations.

  • Lead production meetings with supervisors, maintenance, quality, and material supply teams.

  • Propose and develop new initiatives and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to adapt to evolving processes, and define training matrices as required.


  • Minimum 5 years’ experience leading a team in a similar role/environment.

  • HACCP certification at a minimum of level 3.

  • Strong business knowledge in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

  • Solid understanding of process engineering principles and practices.

  • Proven ability to implement Lean Manufacturing principles effectively.

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective stakeholder engagement.

  • Ability to motivate and lead direct teams, taking full responsibility for operations.

  • Proficiency in planning activities and projects using effective planning tools.
