Multimedia design student, Student Assistant in Brand and Marketing

Salary Competitive

Do you want to help Son of a Tailor reengineer the clothing industry by developing exciting creative work?

We’re taking made-to-order mainstream!

Fashion is one of the most dynamic, creative industries on the planet. But it also has its problems: overconsumption, incredibly high waste, and an opaque supply chain that mistreats garment workers.

What if we could fix these problems, and deliver better products at the same time?

Introducing Son of a Tailor.

We’re reengineering the clothing industry with made-to-order. Made-to-order means we don’t produce anything until it's sold. In this way, we design overproduction out of the equation. Our Perfect Fit algorithm has been honed for 7 years, and is 95% accurate. It requires just 30 seconds and no measuring tape. Moving to made-to-order isn’t easy. It requires a radically responsive supply chain, no minimum order quantities, and daily communication with partners. That also means we are traceable by design.

We are on the lookout for a multimedia designer. Someone who’ll join our Brand & Marketing team, and help us shape the future of clothing. You’ll be supporting our co-founder/art director to build creative work that’ll help us become famous. We imagine that you’re a creative spirit, with a mind that thinks outside the box, bringing great energy to our team. You’re probably studying to become a multimedia designer or you bring a toolbox with you that will be useful when executing on your tasks.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

  • Support the development of Son of a Tailor’s consistent and distinctive brand via visual and multimedia content and design

  • Create advertising assets

  • Create creative assets for social media

  • Create images to be used on website’s product pages

  • Assist rest of the team with video and animated productions

  • Participate in shoots

  • Learning new skills and then where appropriate apply them to improve our creative process and output

YOU’LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU

  • Are studying and have at least 1-2 years of education ahead of you

  • Have 15-20 hours available a week

  • Have experience with image and video editing

  • Have a great passion and drive to deliver great work

  • Are easy to work with and respected for your fast and high-quality execution

WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU?

We’re here to supply change. To prove there’s a different way to make and sell clothes. One that delivers for both the planet and people. That includes you. You’ll be working with something very exciting: the future of clothing!

We’re a passionate bunch of 50+ people, from more than 8 nations. Headquartered in Copenhagen, but with roughly half being located in Portugal and a few fully remote in 2 other countries. Our mission is ambitious, we’re looking for people who want to join us for the ride. We empower our employees to be bold, optimistic, and to challenge the status quo - but don’t worry, you will not stand alone. You’ll have an entire group of equally talented and passionate people to support you. In general we believe that we’re stronger and better together, and that we with a ton of boldness can change the world, at least the entire clothing industry.

You’ll enter into our Brand & Marketing team and report to our CMO, while working closely with our Communications Manager and Co-Founder/Art Director, along with a few marketing consultants.

WE HIRE PEOPLE

Real-life humans, each with their own unique set of identities, cultures, thoughts and beliefs, with backgrounds and bodies that are completely individual. Together, as unique individuals, we stand stronger.

We’re committed to providing an environment of mutual respect. Where equal employment opportunities are available to all applicants and teammates. That’s only achievable if our team reflects the diversity of the world around us - and that starts with you applying. We embrace and encourage people from all backgrounds to apply - regardless of race, color, religion or belief, national origin, sex, age, sexual orientation, disability, or any other status.

ARE YOU THE ONE?

We’re looking for the perfect fit and know that those fits can take time to find. Though we hope to find our perfect match as soon as possible, submit your application today, as we’ll be doing ongoing interviews.

Working at
Son of a Tailor

Since the beginning of mass production a hundred years ago, the clothing industry has not treated its people, products or our planet well. The arrival of e-commerce, with its increased return rates and squeezed margins, only caused worse conditions and more waste in an already careless industry. Son of a Tailor has changed this. Through technology and a lean supply chain, we are fundamentally changing how apparel is made. We have no inventories, always do custom fit on demand, we create much less waste, and reconnect the link between those who make the garments and those who wear them. We are a clothing tech company. We have customers basically around the world, a fantastic team in Denmark and Portugal and we get great reviews by GQ, Esquire and Highsnobiety, to name a few.
