The Role

We are looking for an experienced and highly driven BDR Manager to lead our team of 13 Business Development Representatives. You should have grit, determination, patience and tenacity - but most of all - you get insanely motivated by seeing your impact in the talent YOU build!!!

Onomondo has been sales-led since the beginning of 2021. A well-oiled BDR engine has been the foundation for our predictable growth. This also led us through our €21m Series A last summer.

If you take on this position, it’s up to YOU to improve one of the finest BDR engines in the Nordics.

This is your chance to build yourself up as a leader in BDR and sales management and become a shining star in SaaS in the Nordics. On your side will be trust, sparring and flexibility from a competent, empathetic, self-driven, and ambitious VP of Sales. Not to mention equally capable and ambitious colleagues throughout the wider business to help set you up to success.

You will lead a team of 13 BDRs with 1-2 BDR team leads as direct reports. Preferably, you want to get your hands into that process. You’ll report directly to the Sales Director (also a vacant position) and will soon find yourself in a truly flat organization where you won’t hit any of the “if only I could’s…” you’re probably frustrated about in your current position.

As BDR Manager, you will be responsible for setting and exceeding ambitious sales targets, developing and executing a comprehensive sales strategy, and managing and improving the performance of the BDR team.

A strong drive, mindset, and hunger for results is essential for success in this role. We need someone willing to go above and beyond to achieve ambitious sales targets, who is passionate about coaching and developing BDRs to reach their full potential, and who is not afraid to take risks and try new approaches to drive revenue growth.

We expect you to take complete ownership in directing our BDR sales process from start-up messy (good…) into scale-up tight (better!) and naturally you would aspire to head up Sales as the organization, client base and top line grows. Afterall, you’re probably not only motivated by personal success but also to succeed within the IoT space, which ultimately will benefit people, profit and the planet!

Ok, so you read this far. No you’re probably thinking: “what’s the catch?”. You gotta loooove tech. Have a deep passion for it. Have a strong acumen for learning. IoT is complex, and you should enjoy getting very, very savvy about our product, our industry and the broader IoT ecosystem. If you can learn - you can have an impact like a few others.

Finally, part of your quota will be based on BDRs “graduating” to a new position within Onomondo. Why? Because you lead our talent factory. BDRs can be exceptional future talent, so it’s on you to build up that pipeline of future talent for our business. Today, we have previous BDRs in many different roles, from AEs, Brand & Community to heading up Customer Success.


What you’ll do:

  • Lead by example by being a player-coach and performing cold calls yourself!

  • Meeting - or exceeding - your team monthly KPIs.

  • Build and lead your Sales team in Onomondo and show the way for a predictable and scalable sales process for the BDR function.

  • Reshape our BDR playbook improving our cold calling frameworks, e-mail sequences, outbound outreach strategies and everything in between. Nothing is sacred.

  • Hire, train, manage, and motivate the BDR team to maximize performance.

  • Manage and optimize the BDR team's lead generation and qualification processes, using proven techniques and best practices to maximize conversion rates and revenue growth.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as Growth, RevOps and Product to develop and implement effective go-to-market strategies.

  • Identify and understand customer verticals, trends, goals, plans, challenges, timelines, budgets and stakeholders.

  • Be a very active player towards the management team, your team and the whole team in professionalizing our business and sales whilst maintaining our precious culture.

  • Play an active role in establishing and improving the customer acquisition process.

  • Show outstanding management skills and build a team that any ambitious SaaS/tech salesperson would kill to be a part of!


What you'll need:

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.

  • 4+ years of experience in sales, with at least 2 years in a BDR management role.

  • Proven track record of driving revenue growth through effective coaching and mentoring of BDR teams.

  • Experience in cold calling and proven techniques for engaging prospects and generating leads, with a hunger for finding new and innovative ways to reach potential customers.

  • Email sequences experience and techniques.

  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team to achieve sales targets and exceed expectations.

  • Experience in managing and analyzing sales performance metrics, such as conversion rates, pipeline velocity, and revenue, to identify areas for improvement and track progress towards BDR sales goals.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills: active listening, communication, negotiation, empathy.

  • Outstanding written and verbal communications skills (proficiency in English).

  • Experienced user of CRM (HubSpot a plus) and advanced tool stack to manage sales pipeline and activities.

  • Familiarity with the IoT industry and related technologies is a plus.

NOTE: We expect the right fit to be based in our HQ in Copenhagen. Therefore, a fully remote contract will not be an option for this post.
