Head of Partnerships

Since 2013, TechBBQ has worked to support and strengthen the Nordic ecosystem for
entrepreneurship and innovation based on the distinctive Nordic values of openness, inclusion, trust and meeting each other at eye level.
TechBBQ is Scandinavia's largest startup and innovation summit. For more information, check out techbbq.dk. TechBBQ is looking for a Head of Partnerships to join and lead our Partnerships team. The Partnerships team is a small, dedicated team that works closely with the entire Nordic startup ecosystem to build solid partnerships and create activities for our ecosystem. The Head of Partnerships will be responsible for leading our partnerships efforts, incl. making and nurturing our partners, as well as sticking out a strategy for partnering up with the best partners to support the Nordic ecosystem.
Who are you?
No fancy education is required, but high levels of empathy are necessary!
You love entrepreneurship, ecosystem building, and innovation. You probably read about it on the weekends and watched WeCrashed and Startup with excitement!
You love a challenge, and you thrive in a collaborative work environment that gives individuals high levels of autonomy.
You preferably have working experience with inbound & outbound account/partnership management.
You have tried leading and managing a team before, making motivation a must-have on such a team.
Besides the above, you are very result-driven and want to create a successful career while doing good for society and our world.
You will feel successful if you:
Identify and establish commercial partnerships with tech giants, community and government organizations across the Nordics
Lead or take part in independent projects that make a difference for the Nordic Startup ecosystem
Engage regularly with the Nordic Startup ecosystem and beyond to break down challenges and propose solutions
A team player with a "greater good" perspective rather than an individualistic one. It's more important to have your colleagues when they go through tough times than to land a sale.
P.s. don't get us wrong; we love entrepreneurship, ecosystems, and technology, but this is a very commercial role. You must love sales, business development, and partnerships to thrive in them.
