At Worthmore, our mission is to change what we do with the nearly 150 million smartphones that get replaced each year by making it simple and easy to convert them into money for causes we all care about.


Who we are:

Currently, we cover a lot of the critical skillsets to get the product off the ground, including the ones below which helped us in launching our MVP and raising our first round of investment. We are a lot of fun and passionate about what we do and the problem we are solving.

  • UI / UX design (the current site does not look it yet, but it's getting there) 

  • Frontend and backend development (Our site is custom built with react and node) 

  • Pitching / raising investment 

  • Product development and feature planning

  • Generating user flows


Who we are looking for:

We are trying our best but lacking genuine skills (+ the time to execute) in a few areas, so we are looking for one or two more who would like to join our founding team and help us make Worthmore a reality. You should be passionate in at least one and ideally many of the areas below.


Key Areas:

  • A genuine passion for entrepreneurship + sustainability and have worked in a startup before

  • Experience which allows you to say, "I helped a company grow from ____  to  _ by implementing ___.

  • A passion for bringing law and order to the chaos of a startup generating reports, templates, tracking metrics, and having a vision for how to develop them.

  • You are someone who has a way with words, excellent in communicating ideas and generating copy for Social media, the website, emails, blog post, etc

  • You have an exceptional eye for design and can visually tell a story and create brand identities across multiple channels, including our website and physical marketing campaigns

One of the most critical questions we feel most startups forget to ask is what they can do for you. We ask you to share the talents and skillsets that you have built up over many years to make our lives easier and our brand stronger. 

For each person, this answer is different, but it is our mission as a small startup to provide value to each team member in a way that is unique to them. We believe if you can give us what we need and we can offer you what you want, then we are sure to be a good match professionally.

The position does start unpaid for the first 3 months, as we aim to close our next round of funding in September, however, you will have an option to earn up to 11% equity within the company.


Our interview is about team fit:

In a startup, it is even more critical than your skillsets is the team fit. That being said, our interview is an informal and relaxed introduction to our team and the project. We grab a coffee or a beer (your choice), then we talk a bit about the idea and listen to your thoughts about it. Startups move fast, so you can expect a decision within a week.

Every time I see that it says Worthmore in the top corner of my phone instead of Telia, Lebara, or whoever, I'm reminded that we have succeeded in building a way to help people #ConnectWithPurpose.
