About Reel
Reel is a climate tech startup aiming to transform the electricity market and accelerate the transition to renewable energy on a global level. We see this as a pivotal step towards a zero-carbon economy and avoiding irreversible climate change and damage to life on earth.
We are working on a groundbreaking solution for energy procurement that enables all companies to enter an emerging type of energy contracts (Power Purchase Agreements, PPAs) that accelerate the renewable transition. Reel aggregates SMEs to enable them to act as a synthetic, large company and sign PPAs. We achieve this through an aggregational software model, a novel risk management system and a standardized contractual framework. We aim to become a central marketplace for renewable energy procurement – transparent and available for all.
Working at Reel
At Reel, creating a creative, safe, and inclusive environment is front and centre. We want to make sure that everyone has the independence and support to do exceptional work and feel great in the process. We don't believe that stressful deadlines and endless meetings create the desired results. We believe in a focused, calm workspace where employees are trusted to make independent decisions. We believe in a workspace where people have the time and capacity to do the things they are passionate about outside of work.
Sure, you will experience busy periods working at Reel. We're a startup, and from time to time it will be necessary to take two steps at a time. But busy isn't the default. Thoughtful, deliberate work is. We are a close-knit community and at busy times, we help each other out. We strive to create a workspace that our team members want to remain a part of for years to come.
We are a small team of four. We are at the pre-seed level. Working here, you'll get to experience all the ups and downs of working at an early-stage startup. That probably means you'll do well if you are happy to roll up your sleeves and work independently. We will do our best to support your growth journey here, but don't expect a big support back-office.
