Danish Social Innovation Club (DANSIC) Copenhagen Internship
Salary Unpaid
Are you interested in gaining experience leading a team of volunteers working in finance and fundraising? And would you like to support social innovation, mindfulness and sustainability? Do you want to be responsible of DANSIC's bookkeeping and funding negotiations? Then you are the one we are looking for!

DANSIC is a non-profit organization that explores the opportunities and challenges of social innovation and entrepreneurship. This year we are working on the nexus between mindfulness and sustainability.

As a volunteer in DANSIC, you will be part of an ambitious group of volunteers from various universities, nationalities and professional backgrounds, all caring about sustainability and social innovation.

In DANSIC we value creativity, diversity and peer-to-peer learning. Moreover, we put an emphasis on socializing together over casual pizzas, Friday bars, Christmas lunches, etc.

The Finance crew applies to funding, manages the finances of DANSIC and drafts the annual financial report, being an essential part of our organization. The Finance Crew's role is to ensure that DANSIC is on the right track and has enough funding for our internal and external activities. As the Finance Director in DANSIC, you will have the opportunity to lead and manage the Finance crew, and be responsible, with the other Finance volunteers, of getting enough funding for organizing our annual activity and that DANSIC ends up with a positive result in the end.

As a Director of the Finance Crew you will be responsible for:

  • Developing a strategy for the Finance Crew together with the board;

  • Creating fund applications and pitching DANSIC to possible investors;

  • Budgeting and accounting of our incomes and expenses;

  • …And more projects if you have any cool ideas!

  • The chance to run the Finance crew in your own innovative way;

  • Participate in DANSIC-led excursions;

  • Expand your professional network inside and outside DANSIC;

  • Use DANSIC for your own professional and personal growth;

  • …and a VIP ticket to our end of the year party!

The most important is that you have a desire to work within accounting and fundraising, and support social innovation. It is required that you are studying/have studied business economics, and that you speak Danish, and it is an advantage if you know the Danish laws of accounting and have worked with E-conomic before.

As a volunteer in DANSIC it’s important that you are available to:

  • Attend the weekly meeting in your crew every Tuesday evening;

  • Undertake some ad hoc tasks during the week;

  • Attend the monthly social day for all of DANSIC's volunteers;

  • Be a part of DANSIC from fall 2019 until late spring 2020, when our Annual General Meeting will be held.

Send us your application, in English, including a short description of yourself and your motivation for being a part of DANSIC. We will call people in for interviews continuously, and hire when we have found the right candidates, so apply as soon as possible.
