Schools, makerspaces, companies, and print farms often run several printers at the same time, but lack a simple way to monitor them, manage print queues, track usage, or help users interact with the machines remotely. SimplyPrint was created to solve exactly that problem. Our platform connects directly to 3D printers and provides a centralized interface where users can monitor prints, manage printer fleets, organize users, and control printing activity. For organizations running many printers, this dramatically simplifies daily operations. Today SimplyPrint is used by more than 75,000 users worldwide, ranging from hobbyists with a single printer to universities, schools, businesses, and professional print farms running dozens of machines. The company started about 6 years ago, directly after the founder finished high school. The first years were spent experimenting, pivoting, and rebuilding the platform several times. The current version of the platform (SimplyPrint 2.0) has been in active development for the past few years and has seen strong adoption and growth. One of the unusual things about SimplyPrint is that most of the growth so far has been organic. The product has spread through the 3D printing community largely through word of mouth, SEO, and user recommendations. The company is 100% bootstrapped and runs as a small, lean team based in Denmark. Chromologics is a Danish biotech spin-out from the Technical University of Denmark. We have developed a fungal biotech platform for the production of novel, natural colorants. Our proprietary fermentation process allows us to be first movers to introduce lab-grown food colorants to the market. Our production is sustainable, scalable and cost-competitive. Unlike other existing natural colors, our colorants are not extracted from high value raw materials like fruit and vegetables, but produced by our wild type cell factory. Our fungal strains are non-GMO and our pigments are compatible with most dietary needs, including kosher, halal, and vegan diets. We are in the R&D phase.

Keybird Instruments is developing a lightweight acoustic piano to help piano enthusiasts play with their preferred sound (acoustic) with practicality and price comparable to that of digital pianos. Over 75% of piano players prefer an acoustic sound, yet most play digital because of price, size, and weight. We want to combine the best of both worlds. We can offer an acoustic piano that weighs only 43+ 16 kg, while only occupying half a square meter of valuable living space. It can be transported in normal cars. The first model has a slightly reduced amount of keys (just like many digital keyboards) having all the keys for pop and jazz but also most of the classical music for the first five years in music school. We thus have a strong focus on sound quality, rather than loudness, and we can reach the low price due to automated production in the worlds largest factory. We started this because we needed it for ourselves and saw the need for others. We asked all the piano enthusiasts we could reach and get the interest in our product confirmed. The huge market of acoustic and digital piano (we combine the benefits) is what keeps us on pace to provide an excellent alternative to digital piano's, which often get boring in the long run (We're just sharing our customer insights here ;)
