In classical drug discovery, researchers sift through a large database of known compounds, until they find one that has a desired effect on a target virus/protein. A new technique, Inverse Molecular Design flips the script: Researchers specify a desired behaviour/effect, and Generative AI builds the drug molecules. Generative models for drug design navigate a configurational space vastly larger than their counterparts in image generation, necessitating massive volumes of highly specific training data. LIMA is the first MD software build for generative AI. Unlike other MD engines, it plugs directly into existing technologies used to train AI models (PyTorch), making it possible to directly simulate drug discovery experiments. LIMA MD will enable companies to generate compounds not possible in a wet lab and put this information directly into Generative AI models. Why are we doing this? CarboPlanner is a digital nutrition platform for sports clubs and athletes. We build accurate algorithms for estimating energy expenditure in intermittent sport athletes and tailors sports nutrition planning for the individual athletes expenditure and sport schedule. Our platform helps support staff and their athlete optimize performance, reduce injury rates and improve health and well-being by providing a digital tool allowing for holistic development of athletes. One of our founders worked as a personal nutritionist for a national level ultra-runner, and witnessed how dominant guess-work were in terms of nutrition strategies. Currently he holds a position as strength and conditioning coach at a top-tier football academy. Both places he has tested and demonstrated that structured initiatives towards nutrition improves athletic performance with simple digital tools. In total we are a team of 3 founders, with 2 being rooted in sports science and the final in software engineering.

Our innovation lies in directly studying large biomolecule dynamics, an area current technologies cannot effectively cover. The tool utilizes smart fluorescent probes together with polarized illumination and detection and enables a new dimension of molecular analysis that we believe can find applications in several important drug development areas. The core technology is the result of many years of research within the academic setting, but the commercial aspirations are still young. The company was started in 2023 and is just taking shape as a separate entity. Most of the operations are today located in Scilifelab, a national research institute leading life-science research in Sweden.
