BLOC (Blockchain Labs for Open Collaboration)

We’ve all been sleepwalking throughout the process of applying technology to society. Along the way, solutions have been developed in isolation — to drive up profits without considering larger societal impact, leaving us with untapped potential and fragmented outcome. Technological influencers have been applying tech to sustain ownership — not to do good. The system is broken. So we surround ourselves with “fixers”.
The only thing is: We’re past the point where patches will suffice. We need to create entirely new alternatives. At BLOC, we’ve set out to do just that: Create new platforms, new ways of doing business, new governance models and new solutions through blockchain technology. The overarching goal? Achieving positive global impact.
Net neutral is no longer okay. We have to be net-positive. BLOC is an independent blockchain consultancy, collective lab, and product studio. We turn ideas into practice and aim to solve industry problems through collaboration and radical thinking. We’re using blockchain technology to foster collaboration and deliver real change for entire industries and society at large. Our goal is generating global impact. At BLOC, we are open, transparent and focussed on accelerating positive change through a partnership approach. Our values are critically important and underpin our work, our way of thinking and our way of life: Open: We aim to foster true collaboration underpinned by open and transparent technologies. Real: We have a mindset that means we are not afraid to disagree or say no and are healthily skeptical of our own technology. Kindred: We support each other and our partners both as individuals and in the way we view and communicate the disrupted technologies we work. Fluid: We are adaptive. Blockchain and DLT, like other disruptive technologies, is morphing constantly, as are the needs of the markets we work within.  Grounded: We are do-ers; focused on working with industry partners to implement, not just theorize.
