Trust Stamp

As society has progressively moved towards increased digitalisation and users have increased requirements for remote access to services, there is a greater need for secure methodologies that allow companies to identify and transact with customers and other stakeholders remotely. The government is no exception to this change: employees and stakeholders increasingly expect to be able to interact remotely with the government, both easily and safely. Biometric technologies are becoming ubiquitous, especially in support of remote interactions: when implemented well, they can bring tremendous advantages to business, government and their stakeholders with a slicker user experience, improved trust and lower costs. Inevitably, new opportunities come with new challenges, including: - Identity theft: biometric databases are proliferating and criminals are highly motivated to acquire biometric credentials and use them to impersonate others, usually for fraudulent purposes. Biometric credentials are far more valuable to criminals because, unlike passwords, they can’t simply be changed if stolen. - Trust: as remote interactions become the norm, it’s essential that both parties can be highly confident of the other’s identity. A business, government or service provider will need to be confident that the person connecting to the service is both a real person and the right person. - Exclusion: for those who do not have the necessary technology or skills, or perhaps bias in the biometric system that discriminates against some demographics and characteristics (such as skin colour and ageing). - Compliance: unlike passwords, biometrics are tied to an individual’s characteristics and could be used to identify that individual. GDPR places biometrics in a special or sensitive category of personal data and demands much stronger safeguards around collection and safekeeping. We enable the green shift to happen in new markets! TioTech is a Norwegian producer of titania (TiO2) nanomaterials and a developer of titania-based technology. We know how to optimise the production process and properties of titania nanoparticles. After successfully developing and commercialising a series of photocatalytic surface treatment products (www.joma-int.com), we are directing our R&D efforts towards a new area; the use of titania as anode-material in Lithium-ion batteries (LIB). A battery with our material on the anode will charge faster, last longer, be safer and tolerate temperature variation better than conventional batteries which have graphite on the anode, and outcompete LTO-batteries on capacity. The development work takes place in our in-house laboratory in Bergen, where our dedicated team (Hjørdis, Marthe, Rob, Anders) play around with titania, giving life to innovative solutions.

Cavai AS

Cavai AS was founded in December 2017 with the goal of revolutionizing online advertising. User experiences have largely been neglected on the web, and Cavai saw early on that chatbot technology, which has initially been used in customer service, could be a wonderfully good advertising product. Usually, chatbot technology is used as customer service on its own website, while Cavai's platform is built to be able to use chatbot technology on millions of websites for contextual advertising. The team today consists of 15 people, and the product has been launched in Norway, Finland, Sweden and the UK with 50 paying customers. Customers are very pleased and report that Cavai's technology is having a very good effect on completed advertising campaigns. Cavai will have its first month of positive operating results in October and looks to have sales of around 3 million in 2019. Next year will be a big growth year, where we have budgeted with a turnover of NOK 41 million. This growth has also been discussed by Finansavisen, where as part of Finansavisen's web-TV series "Vext", Cavai filmed his meeting with advertising legend Sir Marting Sorell in London. Nordic Data Resources AS

Nordic Data Resources is a leading online data provider, well established in all the Nordic markets after a successful market launch in Q4 2015. We have run more than 1000 campaigns with 100 media agencies in our first 18 months, which generated revenue of € 0,5 million in 2016. We have a monthly run rate of more than € 100 k, which will increase significantly moving forward, particularly when we have globally launched our data. 1) PRODUCT We have developed a scalable, full-reach consumer classification online audience data suite, available for any programmatic platform and digital channel. We specialize in geo-targeting and consumer classification data to reach the entire population. Fishency Innovation AS

Fishency Innovation can give access to the entire salmon industry to affordable equipment to count automatically sea lice in the cage. Monitoring sea lice is the key to controlling them, it is access to good decision support for optimized treatments and to a reliable tool to measure the efficiency of preventive measures and existing treatments. Today, sea lice are counted manually over 20 fish, every week, in each cage. It is labor-demanding, and the collected data are not reliable. Sustainability starts with good data.

AURA Biopharm AS was founded in 2016 by a team of scientists and drug developers with many years of experience in academia and major pharmaceutical companies and a proven track record of success in drug development. IC Technology AS

ICT is a Norwegian technology development company that holds patents designed to bring new opportunities to the cryogenic liquids storage and transportation sectors via unique containers. The design targets the market for both large- and small-scale cryogenic applications. ICT’s solution is modular and suited for onshore as well as maritime use. The development of hydrogen infrastructure is slow and holding back widespread adoption. Transportation of large volumes is one of the major challenges that IC Technologies is determined to solve. Another challenge is the storage of liquid hydrogen. Current storage solutions resemble enlarged thermos flasks, and the hydrogen inside gradually evaporates over time. Our vision is a decarbonized world with green hydrogen as a major energy carrier.
