The Shortcut

We are an impact-driven non-profit organization. Our focus is on making a difference in the professional lives of our community members by providing them with insights and skills to build meaningful careers or entrepreneurship. We at The Shortcut work for entrepreneurial and professional integration and career transformation in Finland. We belong to the family of Finnish startup ecosystem along with Slush, Maria 01 startup hub and Junction, and are owned by Startup Foundation. We began as an entrepreneurial initiative in 2016 and have evolved into a diverse coaching, training and events hub, with a mission to change attitudes in Finland to be more welcoming towards international talents. For this we are running a nationwide attitude change campaign with over 25 other entities, https://maanpuolustaja.fi/en/.

Centra

Centra is an API-based SaaS e-commerce platform for consumer brands. Centra is creating the next wave of composable commerce with a headless platform that supports DTC and wholesale business models. Leading brands across the world trust Centra to seamlessly connect people to products. Centra believes commerce will look very different in the future and we are here to shape the future.

Dan’Sammen

Dan’Sammen is a Danish social impact startup working to make information about society easier to understand and access for newcomers and local communities. Many newcomers struggle to navigate everyday systems such as employment, education, healthcare and community activities because information is often complex and only available in Danish. This creates barriers to participation and slows down integration. Dan’Sammen solves this by creating a digital platform that presents practical information about Danish society in simple formats and multiple languages. The platform also connects users with local organizations, activities and communities. In addition, Dan’Sammen develops interactive tools such as games and community activities that bring newcomers and local citizens together and strengthen social belonging. Our mission is to make it easier for everyone to understand society, participate in communities and feel part of a shared future.

Sunday Power

Sunday Power’s mission is to accelerate solar power growth, put more renewable energy into the mix, and help the world decarbonize. The real estate industry stands for 40% of global CO2 emissions, and pressure is increasing on the industry to become greener and more sustainable. Our strategy is to offer property owners the easiest and most profitable way to greener buildings, and our business model enables us to give our customers all benefits of solar power – for free. We are developing technology for the future to make solar power on commercial buildings easier, smarter, and more profitable. Luckily, the resource we are harvesting shines everywhere. Therefore, we are aiming for international growth as part of our goal to make a difference in the world. We are constantly looking for new team members that can help us reach our ambition to help the world towards net zero. We have brand new offices in central downtown Oslo. We have a coffee machine where we brew great coffee, and eat typical Norwegian lunch together in our kitchen. We also have a rooftop terrace on the 9th floor where we like to take our Friday beers to celebrate the end of the week. Our working culture is Nordic - we have a flat hierarchy where everyone's expected to participate in discussion about the direction and strategy of the company. We believe we can build the best culture if everyone works primarily from the office, but we all work from other locations for a day or a week every now and then.

TrialSync ApS

TrialSync is a health-tech startup addressing the issue of low patient awareness and participation in clinical trials, which delays treatment development. By centralizing patient health data and enabling patients to drive recruitment, we streamline trial design and execution, helping new treatments reach the market faster.

KROM Kendama

KROM Kendama was born to fulfill the vision of producing the highest quality of kendamas in the world while keeping it funky and relatable, striving to make kendama the biggest secondary sport in the world. Since the beginning of the company, we’ve worked on spreading kendama on a global scale. The rise and growth of the kendama community has allowed KROM to spread, and the team to travel the entire world. In 2010 KROM was founded by 2014 freestyle kendama world champion Thorkild May in hopes of igniting the kendama love wherever possible. Since then we’ve worked hard to develop the kendama culture worldwide from the KROM HQ & Shop in Copenhagen. From the KROM Shop, we host a weekly kendama club and work to support similar initiatives like kendama clubs in Colorado and Latvia. We also sponsor a large number of events every year with prizes and pro players and host events ourselves, like the 2019 European Kendama Championships. As kendama was developing across the world, KROM naturally grew with it and the ideas of creating our own kendamas and becoming more involved in the community couldn’t be kept down. In the latter half of 2012 KROM Kendama went from mainly being a crew of homies playing and distributing kendamas to starting the learning process of creating the best possible kendamas out there. Leading up DAMAFEST 2013, the North American kendama championships, KROM started to pick up steam with the recognition of the clean dama designs and crazy tricks. Thorkild May and teammate Mathias Rasmussen ended up winning the American Freestyle Championships, laying down what has become a staple of the KROM image: the signature Danish flow and the recognizably funky kendamas. Since then KROM has developed and grown even further, we’re constantly striving to represent the kendama community in the best way possible, and of course to provide the best possible products to all the supporters in across the globe. With every new kendama, we’re determined to improve both the playability and the design. For these purposes and more, we’ve gathered the most winning team in the world, composed of internationally acclaimed players with several World and European championship titles, as well as a lot of homies to help us reach our goals. We’re grateful to be able to take kendama to new heights through our work and we look forward to seeing where kendama takes us next. We’ll keep working to bring the joy of kendama to new people every single day. Kendama is unique in its ability to improve your cognitive functions and your hand-eye coordination while connecting people everywhere, even across language barriers, making us able to communicate all over the world. Klimate

We are devoted to accelerating the development and adoption of technologies that can help fight climate change by actively removing CO2 from the atmosphere. The challenge We are emitting 50 Gigatons of CO2 every year, and that needs to be reduced by at least 80%. However, that still leaves 10 Gigatons of CO2, and we need to get all the way to zero. Trees are great, but we need many more solutions as well if we are to get to zero. Currently, most of these are way too expensive (and limited in capacity) for companies to use. We've developed a platform that combines methods and makes it available to every company that wants to compensate their emissions. We work with cutting edge technologies, including Direct Air Capture, Bio char, Bio oil etc.

Lendo (DK)

Lendo er Nordens førende tjeneste for sammenligning af privatlån og en af Schibsteds hurtigst voksende fintech virksomheder. Lendo findes, udover Danmark, i Sverige og Norge. I 2019 gik Lendo ind på det danske marked, og vi er nu på en spændende rejse med ambition om at blive danskernes foretrukne sted at starte, når de skal låne penge. I 2022 udvidet Lendo endnu engang, da den danske bankportal, Mybanker, blev en del af Lendo Group. Herefter startede et tæt samarbejde mellem Lendo og Mybanker for at hjælpe alle deres brugere med at træffe det bedste valg, når det kommer til lån, boligfinansiering, bankskifte og meget mere. Vi samarbejder udelukkende med seriøse banker og långivere – over 100 på nordisk plan – og alle vores danske partnere er under tilsyn af Finanstilsynet.

Danish Social Innovation Club (DANSIC)

Danish Social Innovation Club (DANSIC) is Denmark's largest platform for social innovation. It is a voluntary non-profit organization run by ambitious Danish and international students which aids and inspires different actors in society, with social innovation methods and interdisciplinary work. We work to solve some of the greatest current societal challenges. Our mission is to create a society that is socially, environmentally and economically sustainable. DANSIC is supported by an Advisory Board of leading individuals and organizations in the fields of social innovation and entrepreneurship, and receive aid from sponsors and funds. DANSIC holds an annual event where different actors participate, and social innovation and specific societal issues are on the agenda. Each year DANSIC focuses on a different aspect related to promote a social and sustainable change.

JOOLL disruptede branchen i 2019 og har siden været på en flot vækstrejse og idag har medarbejdere på mere end 3000 danske arbejdspladser "en JOOLL". JOOLL er nu et cross-border concept hvor vi leverer vores løsning i Danmark, Sverige & Tyskland fra vores hovedkontor i København. JOOLL = Your Company Bike, was founded in 2019 with the ambition of changing the way people have their bikes, exploiting a growing market coupled with an increase in employer social responsibility awareness. JOOLL has in record time carved out a new and disruptive area in old school market. We are a fast moving, international expanding and vibrant organization that focuses on execution and constant development. The Nordic Women's Health Hub is an NGO connecting stakeholders in the Nordics to accelerate innovation & market maturity in Women’s Health. Our key stakeholders are startups, investors and researchers. We are based on 4 pillars: Innovation: We support women’s health innovators by connecting them with peers, mentors, partners and financial resources, creating a thriving ecosystem where women's health initiatives have the best conditions to succeed Knowledge: By making relevant information and resources transparent and challenging the status quo, we aim to facilitate a societal transformation towards informed and proactive health care choices and practices Activism: We engage in thoughtful political and lobbying efforts. MiniReview

MiniReview is the ultimate mobile games discovery platform, helping thousands of mobile gamers find their next favorite game. Find great mobile games is close to impossible these days, as Google and Apple are financially incentivized to promote the games that generate the most revenue on Google Play and the App Store. And with thousands of games releasing monthly, developers of actual great games often have no way to compete with the massive titles dominating the industry. Recognized as one of the best Android apps by HowToMen and Android Police, MiniReview curates, reviews, tags, and categorizes the best new mobile games daily, providing unparalleled filtering options, top games posts, and community-created user ratings and collections. We also build "similar games" recommendation systems to help users discover titles they might like. Similarly, we build promotional systems to help game developers and publishers reach players looking for exactly their type of game. We've tested these systems with a few clients, but are still pre-revenue. We're now looking for a freelancer ad sales manager to help generate the first real revenue. We've always been massive gamers, and have personally felt the struggles of finding actual good mobile games. It's close to impossible. After creating content on YouTube for a few years as a hobby and engaging heavily on the AndroidGaming and iosgaming sub-Reddits, we built MiniReview to address the biggest problem mobile gamers face globally; being able to find games that match your preferences.
