Knitstop is a slow fashion project where finest natural materials and best craftsmanship meet contemporary sustainable designs, while unemployed skilful female artisans with immigrant background from Helsinki get a chance to get integrated economically and be empowered for their passion for crafts. Our summer collections consist of palm raffia and recycled T-shirt yarn bags, while in winter we concentrate on stylish and warm alpaca and angora beanies and super popular functional alpaca hoods. In 2024 we aimed to test and launch new revenue generating channels to ensure stable profit and growth during mid (march-may) and low (june-august) seasons: offline workshops and courses in Helsinki and online sales of digital products (tutorials, patterns, courses). We plan to concentrate on development, promotion and sales of our digital products based on existing patterns currently used by our knitters for manufacturing as this channel allows the project to scale and grow internationally. The core issue that Knitspot addresses lies within the broader crisis of modern fast fashion: average content of natural fibers in a fast fashion “woollen sweater” is just between 0-4%, supply chain is shady, production is run in countries with cheapest possible labour, quality is horrible, unwanted stuff is wasted. The downturns of the existing mass market system simply do not fit the criteria of mindful consumers. Our mission is to create a vibrant, DIY-fashion and sustainable knitwear brand that offers exclusive, limited-edition physical goods and one-of-a-kind knitwear design patterns. We are dedicated to fostering slow fashion principles by providing expert consultancy and offering both online and offline learning experiences for individuals and companies, including team-building events and therapeutic crafting sessions. CarboPlanner is a digital nutrition platform for sports clubs and athletes. We build accurate algorithms for estimating energy expenditure in intermittent sport athletes and tailors sports nutrition planning for the individual athletes expenditure and sport schedule. Our platform helps support staff and their athlete optimize performance, reduce injury rates and improve health and well-being by providing a digital tool allowing for holistic development of athletes. One of our founders worked as a personal nutritionist for a national level ultra-runner, and witnessed how dominant guess-work were in terms of nutrition strategies. Currently he holds a position as strength and conditioning coach at a top-tier football academy. Both places he has tested and demonstrated that structured initiatives towards nutrition improves athletic performance with simple digital tools. In total we are a team of 3 founders, with 2 being rooted in sports science and the final in software engineering.

Over 2.5 million Norwegians lack recommended vaccines, and unfortunately, many are unaware of this. But luckily, there is a solution: Flokki. We are ready to play a key role in increasing vaccination rates and improving public health. Dr. Arne Søraas, an experienced infectious disease specialist at Oslo University Hospital and Flokki, has witnessed the consequences of missing vaccinations up close. This insight inspired the idea of Flokki - a simple and practical tool that allows patients to assess their vaccination status and receive prescriptions from doctors, all with a few taps on their mobile phones (read more). Maintaining immunity in the adult population, especially after the age of 65, is crucial. The pneumococcal vaccine is particularly important for protecting the elderly from serious diseases. And let's not forget the Boostrix Polio vaccine, which plays a critical role in protecting against whooping cough, especially for those in close contact with newborns. With over 2.5 million Norwegians lacking vaccines, almost all pharmacy staff should be able to provide recommendations for vaccine checks. We especially encourage those over 65 to check their vaccination status, as well as pregnant women, who have a special duty to protect themselves and their unborn children. By raising awareness of the importance of vaccination and providing easy access to vaccines, Flokki is the answer to the adult vaccination program. Together, we can improve public health and reduce the incidence of serious diseases in society.

FysioScout is developing a platform, in the shape of an app and a Dashboard to physiotherapists and their patients to help them facilitate the course of treatment and keep track of the progress by a personalised exercise experience. Many physiotherapists spent enormous time finding and handing over the right exercises to their patients in big pre made libraries without the possibility to even personalise the conduction of the exercises. That means that both the physiotherapists are wasting important time that could have been used more efficient while the patients do not get the personalised program that they need to fully recover from the injury. This happens everyday in every physiotherapist clinic and is a huge problem since more and more evidence based studies show that personalised exercises given to the patients are way more efficient - both when it comes to actually conducting the exercises the right way but also when finding the motivation. That's what we want to change! We have made a solution where the physiotherapist can easily use their own camera on their smartphone to record the patient doing the exercise while giving instructions. The exercises are given in the moment of the treatment and does not have to be done at the end of the day many hours after the patient left. Also the patient gets an easy overview of the personalised video instructions and the possibility to actually track the progress of the injury to make sure that they are on the right path. They can give feedback on the conduction of the exercise and get a graph of the progression to keep the motivation high. At the end the physiotherapist can integrate the data done through the app to their journal and save a huge amount of time since they do not have to manually write the journal. We found a need in the market to make to make the hand over of the exercises more smooth. On of the founding partners is a physiotherapist himself and both founding partners have played football at a high level in Denmark. We were tired of getting printed paper with bad drawings of exercises that were not personalised our body when we got injuries. Also we find the physiotherapist business very old school and wanted to change this through a modern software setup. This was our motivation to get started and we have an inner fire to succeed. The feedback we get is that there is not any other services made for exercises that is as easy, intuitive, relevant and quick to use.
