Foodla

We are Foodla, a food-tech startup that has developed a marketplace for local organic goods. We also connect this marketplace with a clever content management system for producers — providing them with the tools and channels that allows them to become more efficient market players and not only producers.Part of Sting Accelerate 2018 (sting.co).  The team consists of John, serial entrepreneur with double degree from Linköping University – experienced in sales, fundraising and business development; Rickard, who has been studying and researching for 5 years at Stanford University. This is his fourth company, and he has previously co-founded Neoreach, now a multimillion dollar company – with experience in computer science, app-development, mathematics, algorithm building and AI; and Ingrid, a Cornell-educated agri-tech expert, who are currently exploring the possibilities for Foodla at her home turf — New York, and with industry experience from the agriculture market. We are a fast moving startup with a highly iterative and market driven approach. Our prior ventures have made us less naive and more humble, but also provided us with much valuable experience -- and with experience you make less mistakes and learn to focus on the things that really matter and show results! We are all in our twenties and have fun working together! In addition, we are part of Sting Accelerate and situated at Sup46 (Regeringsgatan 65) -- a great place, with great people and a great community!

Gelato

Gelato aims to disrupt this model by providing customers with a portal through which they can manage these print jobs centrally, but print and distribute locally. We don’t do any printing ourselves – we’re a facilitator – but at the same time, we’re already saving our customers millions in efficiencies and making a major contribution to their own need to reduce overall carbon footprint. We believe that "collaborative consumption" can be the positive consequence of a "sharing economy". We believe in sharing fixed assets – in our case sharing of print machines. And in allowing excess capacity to be intelligently allocated. Sharing permits owners of fixed assets to monetize the underutilized assets. It offers environmentally friendly local delivery.

Blank Space

Blank Space is an ambitious creative space in Oslo that works in countless aspects of the visual art and design community. We are a meeting place for the creative and the productive. We are a safe haven for the curious and the strange. We are a Blank Space for what the visual art and design community needs. We offer a full international art gallery,  high quality but easily accessible classes and workshops, private studios and open desks to professionals and a membership program for enthusiasts. Blank Space consists of four parts:   Our GALLERY, which represents both international and Norwegian artists.   Our WORKSHOPS, which grant both entry level opportunities as well as advanced resources for existing artists.    Our STUDIOS, which offer 3 office spaces to visual artists as well a full silkscreen studio for rent.    Our COMMUNITY, where we work within Oslo's creative scene to strengthen the market from the inside.    Break down the barriers in art:   Blank Space works with every type of person to reassure them that art is for everyone, regardless of finances, background, education, or job. Rich or poor, young or old, artist or not - everyone is welcome.    Diversify art:   Blank Space represents art that isn't commonly found in a gallery setting to help give these forms of art validation in the public eye. Though we believe the definition of art is much broader, we focus on areas such as illustration, animation, comic books, graphic design, street art, film, game design, and concept art. We also work with traditional artists who explore contemporary applications.     Strengthen education:   Blank Space offers a wide variety of workshops, lectures, and events to broaden the creative resources for artists in Oslo. These high quality arrangements vary in topic, theme, and level so that everyone can improve their skills in visual art and design.   Support production:   Blank Space encourages action, not just talk.     Challenge yourself:   Through our studios and events we promote taking risks in art, pushing skills past their current level, and helping others to be the best artist / designer they can be. We help people recognize their mistakes while providing a nurturing environment in which to fix them.

PERE.COM

The PERE narrative We set out to fix a fairness problem that’s plagued the hospitality industry for as long as most can remember. And if we don’t fix it - right now - it might very well result in the complete erosion of how we think about the hospitality business today. Have we got your attention? Great! Let’s start with restaurants, who still reward local businesses for referring guests in ways that are beyond outdated. Offering things like free drinks, meals and under-the-table cash payments are not only unsustainable, they’re eschewed by those receiving them and largely frowned upon by regulatory bodies. What restaurants need is a more effective and modern way to get butts in seats and reward loyal referrers. And reliable, personal referrals from higher-spending guests have never been in greater demand for the beleaguered restaurant industry. Even before the pandemic, food delivery was slowly upending restaurants by forcing them to pay absurdly high commissions for customers on what are already razor thin margins. Even more, restaurants are now pressured to change their businesses to serve take-away and delivery customers instead of the more profitable (and real) dine-in customers, which is why almost all chefs and restaurateurs got into the business to begin with. At the same time, hotels - responsible for sending restaurants a steady flow of personal referrals - are forced to fork out big bucks just to get guests to their properties, much of that going to online travel agencies who charge up to 30% commissions for referrals. With profits shrinking, you’d think that hotels could simply recover those earnings when they refer their guests to nearby businesses. If they’re paying when they receive a guest referral, shouldn’t they be paid when they make a guest referral? That seems fair. Unfortunately, it doesn’t work that way. That’s because today, the hospitality referral model is a broken, one-way street with no quick and easy way for people to profit when they make a personal referral. That includes especially hotel concierges, whose entire existence is founded on the ability to provide quality referrals. Feeling increasingly overlooked, undervalued and under appreciated in a digital world, they’re eager for an easier and better way to re-stake their claim and profit from sending guests to local businesses. That’s why we think it’s time for a change - a new and more fair way to do business in the hospitality industry. What’s long been accepted as a one-way street for paying for referrals needs to be expanded into a multilane highway where everyone can profit from personal referrals. At PERE, we’re building a global community of hospitality heroes who are passionate about delivering better service and memorable experiences by harnessing the power of personal referrals. That’s thousands of hotels, concierges, restaurants and other hospitality heroes instantly connected. With PERE, everyone wins. Professionals get a quick and easy way to profit when they refer guests. Businesses get higher spending referred customers in the door. Everyone gets a tool that lets them deliver a better customer experience and effortlessly see all transactions while staying transparent. At the end of the day, what people want are experiences. They want to connect, to learn, to grow through human interaction. At PERE, we celebrate how a personal referral connects humans in profound ways and establishes a handshake of trust and loyalty between our community. Won’t you join us?
