Storebuddy

Storebuddy is a SaaS company dedicated to making the lives of webshop owners and online sellers easier. Online sales is on the rise i Denmark with more than 150 billion in online sales a year - and it's rising every quarter! More online sales creates new software needs and challenges, due to rising complexity, changes to laws, new business models and products. As we further immerse in the digital age and online selling is becoming increasingly popular a few issues are becoming very clear. There's: 1. Way too much time is spent on manual booking and reconciliation 2. Risk of human error when booking manually 3. Sellers are missing overview 4. Mounting administrative burden when scaling 5. Loss of competitiveness 6. VAT handling and compliance can be a headache This is why we focus on interoperability between webshops, ERP systems, payment gateways an aquirers, thereby helping both small and large webshops with the administrative burden. By automating booking of orders, payments, refunds, gift cards and providing easy reconcialiation, we give them the freedom to scale their business without losing the overview of the sales channels and administration. We have found the solutions We live and breathe for interoperability. We use sophisticated integrations to build and expand our platform, so we can go beyond the customer expectations of the current market. We work with alle the biggest webshop systems who are available in Denmark. Such as Shopify, Woocommerce, Prestashop, Magento, Wannafind, Smartweb, Dandomain. We also integrate to payment gateways, acquirers and ERP systems such as e-conomic, Billy and Dinero. We use our integrations to merge datasources to ensure accurate automated bookkeeping and VAT handling across borders. So online sellers and webshop owners can focus on value adding activities instead of manual administration. We aspire to enable EVERYONE to manage the administration of a succesful online channel with minimum effort. However. Great product needs great, driven people. Take a look at our open positions to see if we need someone spectacular like you!

Student Survival Guide

Student Survival Guide is a community-driven project that is gathering in one platform all important information about university life in a foreign country. Students can also find tips from former students, learn more about daily life in the new country, and discover local gems, only other students know about. We are also running a weekly live broadcast where students can engage in a conversation about current events in the country and the world. We provide people with information that is crucial to a successful and happy life in Denmark. And we make sure that the information is correct, easy to understand, and actionable. We are making sure that we include the community, answer questions that people are asking, and touch on topics, which most other publicly funded organizations cannot. After a successful year on the market, we have learned how to communicate key information in an effective way, either through videos, articles or live streams. After our platform grew, we understood from peoples feedback that they needed a strong sense of community. Therefore, we are organizing weekly meetings in Aarhus, where all like-minded students can meet and work together on common goals. We have developed the project to it’s near full-market potential. We are present on all key platforms where the target group is and we have established an organizational structure that is recruiting more members. We are technologically capable to execute large projects and collaborations. We are part of AU Incubator since 2019, where we have held conversations with startup advisors. Consequently, we are using AU Incubator as a meeting point for the community that builds Student Survival Guide. Student Survival Guide is run by Michael Mares and Jaroslav Vyhnak, both 24 year old Master’s Degree Students in Economics and Business Administration at Aarhus University in Denmark. However, Student Survival Guide is a community-run project where a key asset are the contributors that write and share their knowledge. The contributor can be anyone with experience of the Danish way of life and schooling. So far, SSG has had more than 20 contributors. All of the contributors are bachelor’s/master’s degree students from international backgrounds. Contributors form teams that are responsible for various areas of the project, such as blogging, social media, video editing, news research and community management. All of the teams have their respective managers, who collaborate together to ensure proper project development. We have so far been able to reach more than 100,000 people through social media, gained more than 5,000+ followers on social media and got our videos viewed more than 43,000 times. On top of this, more than 10,000 students have already read our blogs and ‘survival guides’ to Denmark, on our website. We got the project to the point where many of the students prefer to contact us with their questions rather than relying on their universities or other ‘resourceful’ institutions.

We are a start-up, but our solution is already installed at more than 7000 locations and we are scaling fast! Whether it’s a brewery wanting better control over its beer taps or a hotel group aiming to cut water waste, Flowplan delivers smart data in a simple way – and we’re just getting started.

Platypus

The unlikeliest creature imaginable. (Yes, that's a pun) Our company is named after one of the most extraordinary animals on the planet – the platypus. And it’s no coincidence. Did you know that when a (stuffed) platypus was brought to the British Museum in 1799 the director of the museum concluded that it must be an elaborate joke? An egg-laying mammal with a beak! Truth is, the platypus is simply the best example of the fact that even the unlikeliest of beasts is no joke. It’s just perfectly suited to a very specific environment. We strongly believe that this is also true for everyone who joins an organization. There's no culture that's right for everyone. You need to find the one that suits you. That’s why our mission is to promote more genuine conversations between people and organizations, so everyone can come to work in an environment that’s right for them. Where it started. How it's going. Platypus was founded in February 2019 by Nico Blier-Silvestri and Daniel Bowen. They'd both spent years working in HR and recruitment and were frustrated by the lack of objective data for matching people with cultures. Since then we've grown to a team of 24 beautiful beasts. And put an equally beautiful product on the market. Meet us all We’re a team of 27 people and 13 nationalities. Our company language is broken English. We’re based in Denmark but what’s driving us is a mix of everything. Our team's top values are Flexibility, Impact, and Learning. That makes sense, since we’re a startup and building stuff is at the heart of what we do. And we have families, home countries, and interests that are a high priority for us to make room for.

Videolink

Twig

Twig is a Danish natural personal hygiene start-up that aims to promote a sustainable and back to basics lifestyle through its 100% natural and biodegradable toothbrush. Twig is a natural toothbrush that is more portable and hygienic, leading to a decrease in waste and pollution. The primary target customers with a sustainable mindset and lifestyle further includes sub-segments of vegans, yogis, outdoor adventurers, environment conscious consumers. As an impact-driven startup born from the passion to introduce a complete sustainable solution to the gruesome plastic waste crisis from toothbrushes, the urge is to make better use of the natural resources we have by integrating them as a part of our green habits. Our purpose is to simply leave a mark on the world instead of the planet by becoming the most honest and transparent natural personal hygiene brand.

LastObject

LastObject is dedicated to creating sustainable alternatives to single-use items. We've created LastSwab (alternative to cotton swabs), LastTissue (alternative to kleenex), LastRound (alternative to cotton rounds), and LastPad (alternative to menstrual pads). We always aim to make products that are 10x more sustainable than the single-use products they replace. LastObject’s mission is to reduce and eliminate single-use products. Our main focus is to identify single-use items that needlessly damage our environment. Our aim is to reduce waste. When we started, our idea was to do produce something good for the environment and being three designers it made sense to use those skills and design something that works as replacements for something that is damaging the environment.
