Founded early summer 2020, acamp.com is a two-sided marketplace connecting RV Sites and private landowners with campers. We are the first Startup in Europe that let local landowner and small business tap into the huge, analog, and underserved market of RV sites. By digitalizing the market we create totally new opportunities for the entire industry. We are currently a small team of 16 very talented colleagues, diverse with 4 different nationalities and backgrounds from Apple, Spotify, and MIT students. All our work is in English, and majority of the team work from our HQ in Stockholm, but a few colleagues work remotely from other places in Sweden, Barcelona, US and the Philippines. We believe that empowering our employees makes our company stronger, and we therefore do a lot to make sure our team has the freedom they need to be and do the best they can. As we are a small team, where everything goes really fast in the startup environment, we need people to be independent and equipped to do what is needed. We therefore provide an overall centralised direction, but everyone here has a lot of autonomy and ownership over their own work. We work with flexible hours, where each team member can choose to work from home when they want, or from our pet friendly office in the heart of Stockholm close to "Sveavägen". We want our team members to be passionate about the value we create, and therefore do a lot to promote the nature environment, we do team events at our hosts, and at our office we have a rooftop garden with barbecue that we often make use of. Playvation is a Finnish EdTech company that designs high-quality language learning solutions for early education organizations. Our flagship product Moomin Language School is an immersive digital language learning service for learning organizations with children between the ages of 3 and 10. The service is based on Finnish education principles, various learning theories and research into early language learning, language immersion and child development. Language skills are essential in the modern global world, yet millions of children lack access to high-quality teaching and learning content. We are about to change this. Thanks to our learning application and ready-made lesson plans, any learning organization can start teaching English to the children in their care. Moomin Language School combines the use of a learning application with teacher-led playful lessons to bring children the best of both worlds. With Moomin Language School, any learning organization can start to teach a foreign language to the children in their care. Children use the learning application individually to learn vocabulary, grammar and pronunciation either at the learning organization or at home. The learning application is used every day and the daily practice takes only 5-15 minutes. Our learning application’s time limit makes sure that children get only a healthy amount of screen time each day. Moomin Language School also includes lesson plans for 30-45-minute interactive and playful group sessions once a week for small groups. The lessons reinforce the language learned with the learning application and build up communicative skills, collaboration skills and social skills. The lessons are filled with social interaction, physical activities, songs, stories, and arts and crafts to help children use the new language in various contexts. Moomin Language School uses the flipped classroom model. This means that children first use the learning application to learn about the weekly topic and relevant vocabulary and grammar. After this they have the related playful lesson where they deepen their knowledge and use the language in a real-world setting. This model leaves the teacher more time to focus on communication and connecting with the children, making learning more effective and engaging. It also increases children’s courage to use the language by giving them a chance to practice first on their own using the learning application.

Zeeds makes therapy easier. By gamifying homework assignments for the patient through an application, and giving psychologists insights into patient activity in an intuitive interface, we increase adherence and efficiency of CBT. We are a B2B startup primarily focused on the Swedish and European healthcare market.

Our software tool provides predicted properties of (bio) chemicals based on data-driven algorithms and quantum chemistry, which helps to reduce the number of experiments in R&D. Every (bio)chemical process or product needs physico-chemical properties (e.g. solubility, density) data to simulate unit operations and flowsheets of chemical manufacturing processes. Also, the formulation of products such as more sustainable solvents or more efficient materials need property calculations for designing these products. Scientists and engineers at biotech companies usually fail to develop and simulate new processes and products because: (I) the experimental data for specific molecules are not available, (II) no physical property models have been developed for the desired compounds which give satisfiable predictions, (III) measurements are too time- and material-consuming to perform. MQS has developed a software which provides novel property prediction models based on machine learning and quantum chemistry (Figure 1), in which the input from experiments can be reduced or is negligible. Therefore the number of experiments, material, labour and time are saved which translates to reducing R&D costs in a 407 billion $ industry [1,2,3]. But what I found was a lot of excel files which were not very efficient. I even found one organization that was using an educational system, on top of which they had built a solution to manage their roster. Up until now, the situation has not changed. The closest match to direct competition are ERPs’ HR modules with heavy customization from ready (COTS) products, or purely custom application development and management (CADM).Molnix was born to fill this gap, spearheaded by the product Rapid Personnel Manager. It is a cloud-based HR app that is now in production in the humanitarian field – the Finnish Red Cross being our public reference customer. The goal now is to bring Rapid Personnel Manager to as many customers as possible. We will start by targeting humanitarian agencies. The app’s logic applies well to many other sectors to follow; manpower agencies, security services, freelance guilds and more can benefit from our service.With this app, our customers’ HR activities become considerably faster and more cost efficient. Especially in the field of disaster management, speed translates to higher impact (such as lives saved or aid delivered). Cost savings in turn stem from automation of many HR tasks such as alerting, reporting, data quality monitoring and use of public API:s.
