ZynexGroup is a Danish company based at Incuba, Åbogade 15, Aarhus. We place a customer-owned battery cabinet (BESS) at factories and industrial sites that already have a grid connection (existing 400 V AC three-phase). ZynexGroup operates the battery in the ancillary services market – frequency regulation that helps keep the power grid stable – and the customer gets paid. Because the battery uses the existing connection, the project does not have to join Energinet's queue for new grid connections, unlike stand-alone battery parks. The problem: Denmark needs far more flexible capacity to balance a grid with more and more wind and solar, but new grid connections for battery parks are stuck in long queues. ZynexGroup unlocks capacity that already exists on industrial sites, so batteries can start delivering grid services sooner and industrial companies earn from infrastructure they already have.
