Maritime Stars is an accelerator program for Danish startups with innovative solutions for the maritime industry. Each year, the maritime industry selects ten of Denmark's best startups, which pitch their businesses for a chance to join the program. With only five available spots, only the five highest-rated startups among the ten pitching candidates are admitted to Maritime Stars each year. Ecombooster is developing a back-end system for e-commerce companies to remove manual and tedious tasks in order too boost profitability. Typically, e-commerce spends a lot of time gathering product information, images, descriptions etc, put them in excel and then imports them into their e-commerce platform. We automate this work, as well as enable up-to-date stock levels, pricing, purchasing and many more things. Today, there is no good way to automate this kind of work. Ecombooster is onto the solution and save e-commerce personnel loads of time that can be spent on increasing sales and profitability. We do this by webscraping the suppliers websites and then Ecombooster does its magic to make sure the data gets from the suppliers into the e-commerce platforms and set up a sync schedule so the information is uptodate at all times. The company was founded by Tobias Gårdner who had these problems in his own webshop and he thought there must be an easier way to solve this. And then he thought, I can't be the only one with this problem. Said and done, that was the birth of Ecombooster.

Sesam imports will initially import products from Asia, mainly from the Philippines in the beginning. The reason for starting the company is that Filipinos are struggling to find Filipino and Asian food in Asian stores in Norway, there is a big gap in the selection of stores that offer food from Asia. Many foreigners living in Norway craves food and taste from their homeland and one of them are Filipinos. As of 2021, access to Filipino products is still limited while the Filipino community is growing. Therefore, we are very grateful to start this business. We will offer food, beverage, fruits, and vegetables from the entire Asia to customers in Norway. We will sell them online on our online shop and Facebook store to private customers in Norway, we will also offer our products to businesses in Norway such as Asian stores and restaurants and online sellers. We will offer the most selling products but also offer the products that we know the Asian communities are missing and having trouble to obtain in Norway. Our goal is to have the best and biggest product assortment in store in Norway. We will have a cold storage with some fresh fruit and vegetables but most of this order have to be ordered in advance to provide loss of goods due to short shell life. Frozen food like fish and meat will we have on cold storage for fast delivering.

We are HEMBOO: an early stage start-up with the vision of making low emissions, renewable materials the norm in construction. Besides fossil fuels, the production of concrete is the worst emitter of CO2 in the world. However it is the most used material within the construction sector. But not for long: climate legislation is about to make concrete a whole lot more expensive, by introducing a CO2 TAX. This leaves the construction companies with a problem as there is no valid sustainable alternative they can use. HEMBOO offers an easy solution: prefabricated walls for new construction made of hemp and bamboo with a reduction of 80% CO2 emitted compared to the traditionally used concrete walls. BUT the construction industry is very conservative and risk-averse. Therefore getting to market is a long journey. We built our first prototype are now preparing for the second one and are gathering data on the needs of our customers. Our aim is to provide a solution similar enough in prefabrication and installation methods, to make the transition from concrete fast and easy. Our element is designed for large scaled production so that we can have the largest impact. Recently we have received a total of 520.000 dkk in soft funding for product development and are participating in multiple startup support programs so it is full speed ahead! The team behind it all: We are a diverse team of three, Elsa Maria Iuliano, Helena Brandt Rejndrup and Michael Hallam. Helena and Elsa graduated as architectural engineers from DTU while Michael is finishing up his studies in design and entrepreneurship. We started HEMBOO because we are all very passionate about making an environmental impact. As a team we have a lot fun together, while still being productive.
