Qpaws – Dog Activity App

Qpaws is a cutting-edge digital platform transforming how dog owners manage and enhance their pets' well-being. Our startup is solving several critical challenges dog owners face, especially in today's fast-paced world where dogs often struggle with insufficient exercise, poor nutrition, and irregular health monitoring. The problem is more urgent than ever, with studies indicating that over 70% of dogs are overweight, leading to a wide range of health issues that affect their quality of life. Qpaws started by focusing on the highly demanding dog sport of mushing, where monitoring dogs' activity and health is crucial. However, we quickly realized that the problems we were solving for mushers—like optimizing training, tracking feeding, and improving overall dog care—are problems all dog owners face. Whether it's the daily walker, the outdoor enthusiast, or the professional trainer, every dog owner wants to provide the best for their furry companions. This realization led us to expand the app's features to appeal to all dog owners, creating a more inclusive platform that anyone can use, regardless of their activity level or how many dogs they care for. We solve a wide range of dog care challenges through smart, intuitive technology. At its core, Qpaws tracks activity, ensuring that dogs get enough exercise to maintain a healthy lifestyle. But it doesn't stop there. We also provide tools for health monitoring—keeping track of vaccinations, vet visits, and other medical needs. On top of that, the app offers personalized nutrition advice, guiding owners on the best diet for their dog based on breed, age, and activity levels. One of the unique aspects of Qpaws is its open approach to hardware integration. Most dog tech platforms are closed ecosystems, requiring expensive, specialized devices that limit their accessibility. Qpaws flips the script by being hardware-agnostic. You can use it with any wearable you choose, or none at all, making it an affordable and scalable solution that meets the needs of dog owners around the world. This accessibility, combined with the app's social networking features, allows dog owners to connect with a global community, sharing tips, experiences, and inspiration, making dog care more enjoyable and rewarding. As the global pet tech industry booms, Qpaws is perfectly positioned to grow rapidly. We already have a solid user base of over 14,000 active members and 32,000 dogs tracked on the platform. But this is just the beginning. Our goal is to transition from a niche product for extreme sports enthusiasts to a widely used app for all dog owners. With 350 million dog owners worldwide, the total addressable market is vast. Coinify’s services include: individual currency trading, corporate brokerage, payment processing services, and Enterprise solutions via Coinify API. Our mission is to mainstream the use of virtual currencies and thus help businesses and individuals to adopt financial innovation. Moreover, Coinify can be seen as a bridge for merchants that can e.g. accept blockchain payments in 15 currencies and receive payouts in fiat. Coinify team consists of strong backgrounds in payments, finance, risk, e-commerce, and compliance areas and experience in working with digital currencies since 2010. The company was incorporated in 2014 and is owned by US-based Voyager.

Diwala

Diwala is a Norwegian-based company that is focused on building opportunities for youth, addressing the global issue of identity theft and certification fraud. Today, displaced individuals and people in emerging markets are challenged by high costs and slow manual processes to verify the authenticity of their skills, identity and credentials. As a result, these individuals have to deal with tedious and out-dated credentialing processes, and are in some cases forced to repeat years of education. This leads to both loss of productivity and inflated unemployment. Imagine that you had to flee your own home because of war. Like Aıscha Najjar, a Syrian doctor turned refugee immigrated to the United States to pursue her dream of work & a safe home. Yet, due to loss of information, she was forced to repeat medical school in the United States. If she had a verifiable skill identity, she might have had the privilege of practicing medicine without any questions. Aıscha`s story amongst others epitomizes the challenge Diwala is addressing. To tackle this challenge, Diwala has created a platform that enables schools and NGOs to issue skill-based identities, backed by blockchain technology. A skill-ID is a digitally verified record of a person’s educational and work history. Diwala is building an ecosystem of trust, by enabling educational institutions and organizations to safely and digitally issue and verify credentials. This will, in turn, save all parties time, money and build a bridge for global work opportunities for untapped talent. Complementing the platform, Diwala has built an app that allows students to easily receive, store and share credentials of both soft and hard skills. By utilizing a decentralized identity management tool, Diwala’s application will also give people ownership of their data information. Diwala is currently executing pilots regularly, to optimize the features and security of the platform in both Kenya and Uganda. Working with their implementation partner Clarke University in Kampala, Diwala recently issued the first set of skill-identities to both students and administrators. These are the first ever digitally verified certificates backed by decentralized identity and blockchain in Africa

We started out under the name 'SkyPAD', reviving the glass mouse pad and establishing a growing new product category in the market. In March of 2024, we rebranded from SkyPAD to Wallhack, making way for new ambitions and opportunities.

Our story Simple Feast was founded in Copenhagen (in 2014) with the vision of getting more Danes to make more meals at home. We wanted to go back to the primordial tradition of sharing food with family and friends. We started by creating an app with hundreds of recipes from some of the world’s finest chefs. However, we soon recognized how many people today have limited time for cooking and the need for everyday meals that are quick and easy to prepare. So in March 2017, we decided to cook the food for you on the days you didn’t have time to do it yourself. We knew that the simple action of embracing a plant-based diet held the potential to be our generation’s greatest contribution to ourselves and our planet. Each week, our culinary team (composed of former Michelin chefs) designs an array of delicious, crowd pleasing meals that just so happen to be made of plants. Be My Eyes

Be My Eyes is a unique, venture-funded, profit-with-purpose company that connects blind and low-vision people needing sighted support with volunteers and companies through live video calls. With a nearly 90% successful call rate, our volunteers assist the blind with daily tasks as simple as finding something in the kitchen to something as complex as navigating an airport. Operating in 150 countries and 60 languages, Be My Eyes is the largest digital volunteering community in the world with over 6,1 million volunteers and 450.000 blind and low-vision users. Are you ready to join a journey of fermentation with Folk Kombucha? Behind the name Folk lies a vision of creating something that brings people together. Located in the heart of Kødbyen, our small but passionate team is dedicated to crafting uncompromising, living kombucha. We've built a brewery universe from the ground up in the heart of the city, in a space where people can gather and learn about unpasteurized kombucha on a larger scale, while we continue learning ourselves. That’s also why every aspect of Folk is done in-house - from fermenting, bottling, and lab testing, to designing our own labels and visuals. Rather than outsourcing, we are becoming experts in our craft, evolving every day and continually refining our understanding of how to ferment the best possible kombucha. It's a process that only improves with the experience we gain. We use only organic ingredients with flavors inspired from what grows in the Nordic nature around us and let alchemy meet science. Each bottle undergoes a weeks fermentation process, making us a true slow drink in both the soft drink and non-alcoholic segments. We combine flavor, tradition, and health in a product where no detail is overlooked. When you step through the doors of our brewery, you're joining a team of passion. We are driven to build a remarkable brand by thinking, creating, and executing at an ambitious level.
