Our story started when one of our founders was having hard time finding suitable building automation system to his home. He understood how things could be improved and started to build the system on top of software not on hardware. Jakub has good eye on visual details and UX design, which is highly important in our business cases. >Antti is our CTO and also one of the founders. He has PhD from Applied Electronics and one could say that there’s he knows a bunch of things related to telecommunications and software development. We admire his intelligent attitude towards any kind of situations, even it would require to use hammer and drill. >Perttu, our COO, has joined to team after comparing the building automation solution for his own house and finding out that Mount Kelvin was the best. Determinedly, he increases brand awareness and expands our operations to a global level. He has long history as managing director of various companies during the past 20 years.

We are Foodla, a food-tech startup that has developed a marketplace for local organic goods. We also connect this marketplace with a clever content management system for producers — providing them with the tools and channels that allows them to become more efficient market players and not only producers.Part of Sting Accelerate 2018 (sting.co).  The team consists of John, serial entrepreneur with double degree from Linköping University – experienced in sales, fundraising and business development; Rickard, who has been studying and researching for 5 years at Stanford University. This is his fourth company, and he has previously co-founded Neoreach, now a multimillion dollar company – with experience in computer science, app-development, mathematics, algorithm building and AI; and Ingrid, a Cornell-educated agri-tech expert, who are currently exploring the possibilities for Foodla at her home turf — New York, and with industry experience from the agriculture market.We are a fast moving startup with a highly iterative and market driven approach. Our prior ventures have made us less naive and more humble, but also provided us with much valuable experience -- and with experience you make less mistakes and learn to focus on the things that really matter and show results!We are all in our twenties and have fun working together! Tada Medical is a spin-off from the Clinical Innovation Fellowships (CIF) programme born with the purpose of creating solutions for the unmet needs of hospitals across the globe. During the programme, the founders spent eight intense months at the Children’s department for Blood and Tumour diseases at the Uppsala University Children's Hospital. During this time, the pressing need to increase the safety of IV therapy for patients and healthcare professionals by preventing IV catheter dislodgement was identified and the breakaway concept behind the solution was developed. The company was founded in May 2016, and the team has, since that day, persistently fought to bring their first product ReLink® to the market. Intravenous (IV) therapy is the most common invasive treatment in the world received by 80% of in-hospital patients. Up to 36% of all IV tubes are accidentally ripped from the patient’s vein during treatment, resulting in consequences such as loss of medication, interrupted therapy, patient injury, and increased personnel workload. IV tubes cannot be reused and must be discarded if they are ripped out accidentally. This generates about 22,800 tons of plastic waste in Europe and the US per year. We have a patented, low-cost, simple to use safety solution to this massive global problem. Our innovation ReLink® is a breakaway connector to be placed on the IV tubes. It consists of two parts held together by a weak-link solution designed to release when the connector is subjected to a specific pull force. Double valves keep liquid from spilling when the parts are pulled apart. After separation, the parts can be cleaned and reconnected to rapidly reinstate therapy. The Tada core team includes an operational team of employees and interns as well as both inhouse consultants and advisors/investors who are all dedicated to our cause. Tada Medical has participated in exhibitions, trade fairs and pitch events and is an active member of several networks both in Sweden and in Europe. In the spring of 2020, Tada won the H2020 EIC Accelerator (961967) and were approved funding through the programme.
