Otivio’s main product, FlowOx™, is addressing chronic wounds with focus on peripheral arterial disease (PAD), which is a serious condition leading to pain, chronic wounds and in many cases amputation and mortality. The patient population is very large and increasing. There are limited adequate treatment options offered to the patients aside from surgical interventions. FlowOx™ is a non-invasive product intended for home use. Long-term patient testing in more than 50 patients documents increased blood flow, reduced pain and wound healing. FlowOx™ is CE marked. In fourth quarter 2017 had its commercial break-through through sales of FlowOx to public customers.

Medsensio will develop educational, clinical, and monitoring tools by analyzing medical data using machine learning and statistics. Our first project is developing an auscultation learning tool for students. Students will be able to verify their own interpretations of lung sounds using our machine-learning technology

New drugs for treating diseases of Down syndrome. More than 1% of the global GDP is spent on nursing demented people, and the number requiring nursing will triple within 2050. The disease is progressive, leading to death. There is no current cure available, only symptomatic treatments. Individuals born with Down syndrome have a more than 10x risk of developing dementia as well as a host of other diseases including diabetes. Our drug target, DYRK1A is an enzyme found on chromosome 21, and is considered a key factor determining developmental and medical challenges faced by individuals with Down. The enzyme interacts with multiple biological mechanisms involved in Alzheimer’s and autoimmune diseases. Advanced drug designUsing advanced drug design technologies, we have designed a potent DYRK1A inhibitor drug, PST-900. A use and substance of matter patent have been applied for. The company is currently working on chemical Lead Optimisation with 8 full-time medicinal chemists contracted.Financing and milestonesThe Company raised NOK 5 million in 2015 and 8.8 MNOK in 2016/2017, matching non-dilutive research (BIA) and business grants (Innovation Norway). We demonstrated Proof of Principle in a model system for Alzheimer’s disease in 2Q2016. We have also demonstrated that our drug is capable of reversing diabetes in an animal model. Together with clinical and regulatory advisors, we have identified an important unmet need for a drug to treat newly diagnosed diabetes. We will use this indication to quickly progress to market and from there develop analogous drug molecules in Alzheimer’s disease, focused especially in Down syndrome. Funding soughtThe current funding round will raise 15+ MNOK to fund the progression to the final Development Candidate during 2018. Zirius Kompetanse is a two-year-old company that delivers all training for the users of Zirius ERP.  We specialize in e-learning, but also hold courses at different locations in Norway on the system Zirius, accounting, VAT rules, and changes. As Zirius expands, so do we, so now we also will cover payroll-system, and HR and will make a training program for new hires, etc. We use Moodle as our LMS (Learning Management System), and use a local provider in Lillehammer, who is the only Norwegian Moodle partner.   We also make promo-videoes for Zirius, our customers, and other companies. Zirius Kompetanse started with Sissel Rogne as Manager, and a board consisting of the owners, which is Zirius and a few of the sales offices. I have hired one person for Project Management and video production. I have a vision of doing social entrepreneurship and have a good dialog with NAV. The person I hired came through a training program in NAV and ended up getting a work contract. We have built a good course portfolio, and are ready to start a more active sales process, which we need more marketing funds to do, and we need to upgrade our LMS, make integrations with other sites, and hire one more person to work with course development.

Spect8 is a norwegian tech startup with a mission to help sports organizations, pro-athletes and sponsors that don’t have enough time, capacity, or the necessary skills to reach their potential in growing fan engagement and commercial value. Due to the power of association among consumers, brands allocate an increasing amount of their advertising budgets towards sports teams and athletes. To measure the value of a sponsorship, sponsors rely on manual measurements and expensive consulting services. At the same time, athletes, clubs, and federations are left with few resources to decide what their commercial value is, and often forfeit revenue (and funding for their sport) by underselling their commercial value. To solve this problem, we have developed a tool called Foqus. Foqus is an easy-to-use machine learning tool created for sports teams and individual athletes to determine their commercial value for sponsorships, and for brands to manage and measure multiple agreements. We are currently working with Norsk Toppfotball, sports associations, clubs and and several brands, and are off to a good start to reach our goal of creating a new industry standard for how sponsorship value is created, measured, and driven. The existing team consists of three business developers with expertise in strategy, marketing, sponsorship, data and analysis. In addition, we have associated development teams with both front-end, back-end and database expertise. We have recently become a part of StartupLab's Accelerator program, are supported by Innovation Norway and have ambitions to scale our business both nationally and internationally in the coming years. We therefore wish to expand our team with a skilled developer who also wants to make a professional career as an entrepreneur.
