NewSchool

NewSchool develops innovative digital tools for collaboration and project based learning by combining agile working methods, psychology, games and mobile media.The tools draw on a set of successful business practices  - the kanban boards for Lean Management, adapted to education purposes, in real-time. By focusing on the organization of the process, not its content, it helps develop self-regulation and collaborative skills for 21st century learners. We are an education technology start-up, with extensive change management experience, unique insights in workforce trends and technology, and pedagogy at its core. All team members have solid international experience from fields like mobile technology, business development and technology management, international education, instructional design, and learning sciences research.The team consists of Fredrik Harloff, Chief Executive Officer, and Mihaela Tabacaru , Community Manager, both co-founders of NewSchool, working full time. The third co-founder, Stian Hofslett Thowsen, works full time as a teacher and part of management team at Langaugen secondary school in Bergen, Norway. Besides the three co-founders, NewSchool relies on an interdisciplinary board of administration with senior level execs: Anne Posner, Bjarne Solhaug, and Paal Kaperdal, all with broad experience, covering international business development expertise, publishing house and human resources expertise, and digital transformation expertise. Frequent contributor and education research expert is Marina Hirnstein, PhD in cognitive psychology, expert in learning analytics .We have offices in Bergen and Oslo,  members of two incubators: Nyskapningsparken in Bergen (http://www.nyskapingsparken.no/) and SoCentral in Oslo, Nordic Center for Social Innovation (www.socentral.no). With an international mindset from day 1, we have been testing our product in classrooms across Europe, from Norway to Denmark, Portugal and Romania, to USA. Our extensive education network made it also possible to plan pilots in emerging countries like India and Iraq.

InterBridge

InterBridge is a social enterprise that builds capacity, develops leadership skills and inspires individuals to be socially responsible. We design customized skill-building courses that bridge individual behavior to action-oriented solutions. These courses integrate an intercultural, interdisciplinary, and global approach in a highly interactive and creative environment. We focus on activating potential of change agents.

BrightArch is an enterprise software company that specializes in helping organizations going through transformational changes (for example, post-merger integration, restructuring, etc). Our first product is OrgWeaver; a set of tools and processes to efficiently design an organization, solicit employee preferences, and make informed staffing decisions. Our goal is to give people the flexibility to use their talents. Newcycle

We are building Newcycle, because we want to end the throw-away society.   Every year our global society throw away 100 billion tonnes of materials. This obviously can't continue. At the the core of this issue lies a general perception that new things are more valuable than things we already own. Or that things new from the store is better than buying it used from someone else. We believe that if it was easier for people to treat the things they own better, keeping them maintained and in mint condition, this perception would change. We started Newcycle on an ambition to kickstart a circular revolution in retail and consumerism. The way we exploit our planet’s resources needs to change. The way we buy things needs to change. And the way we own things needs to change. With the Newcycle app, consumers can create an inventory of everything they own, to get an overview of their products. It's free to use the app, and we offer additional paid services, like reselling their used items. By giving consumers access to digital twins of everything they own, we make it easier for our users to maintain, repair, refine, buy and sell their products, regardless of whether they are the 1st, 2nd or 8th owner of a product. In the app The Newcycle app connects the owner of a product with the retailer who sold it and the producer who made it, for the entire life span of the product, benefiting both the consumers and the producers of the products. The positive result is longer use of the products and in the end recycling. We won’t change the world all by ourselves, but looking back ten, twenty or forty years from now, we’ll see that our role was a central one. Fikse AS

Fixing and repairing of consumer goods are declining, and have been for many years. It can seem cheaper and more convenient to buy a new product and throw away the broken one. At the same time, repair shops need more customers. We will create a digital booking system to make repairing easier and convenient. Consumers can choose their preferred repair shop and order repairs directly from their couch and have it sent and delivered. At the same time, we help repairers reach new customers online and a CRM system optimised and co-created with repairers. Our mission is to build a culture for repair and inspire people to take care of what they already have. Our main SDG is number 12 - Responsible consumption and production. Increased volume of repair will lead to lower consumption and inspire consumers to buy less and better products. This is a big goal for Fikse and with our digital system, we know that it will lead to more reuse. In addition, Fikse is also contributing to goals 8, 11, 13 and 17. We care about the environment and will always work for these goals. In other words: We make repairs easy and convenient. Problem Today, repair and maintenance of consumer goods are a real hassle. It can seem cheaper and more convenient to buy a new product and throw away the broken one. In addition, repair shops need more customers and better margins. They also lack a customized system for managing orders and communicating with customers. Retail businesses have a hard time creating a solution for handling warranty and refund. Research shows that the inconvenience of repair is just as high an obstacle as the price. On the other side, repairers struggle to get customers. They do not have the time, money or resources to be active on social media or promote on digital platforms. They are also lacking a good system for managing orders and communicating with customers. Solution We help repair businesses and retail owners reach out to customers and respond to the emerging market for repairs and circularity. We are in the process of creating a digital booking system to make repairing easy, fast and convenient for all segments above. And we know that this sustainable concept is a service they actually want. At Høyer Paleet in Oslo, you can see for yourself. Together with the high-end retailer, we launched our MVP here in mid may. And what a response. We have over 800 bookings as of september 20, as well as the retail itself. This winter, we will start developing a fully digital version. This way, you can choose your preferred repair shop and order repairs directly from your couch and have it sent and delivered. At the same time, we help repairers reach new customers online by creating a CRM system optimized and co-created with repairers. We can manage all cases of repairs connected to warranty and refund for businesses to ensure the consumer a sustainable practice on all levels. Spacelab AS

Spacelab AS is a Norwegian LogTech company. We are creating a SaaS platform with tools and products to optimize the space, weight, and asset utilization in logistics. From creating and visualizing packing plans for shipping containers to asset management systems designed to maximize your asset utilization grade. Assets are underutilized, of the 700 million plus TEU (Twenty Foot Equivalent) shipped globally, only 60 - 70% are utilized, and 30% are shipped empty. Spacelab is envisioning a future where optimization of space and weight, reduces both emissions and cost for a global logistics market. With the current state of the global shipping and logistics industry where prices have increased more than 10X over the past 18 months, and the huge disruptions to supply chain caused by container shortages and lack of transportation assets. We will optimize and aid the situation through digital solutions offering more control and better utilization. Spacelab started because we saw a opportunity to create something new, to aid in breaking down industry silos, and building a platform we truly love to create, with the technology we believe in.

Fysionett - Din fysioterapeut på nett

Vi skal gjøre fysioterapi mer tilgjengelig ved å samle online booking for fysioterapitjenester i én landsdekkende plattform. Hovedfokus skal være å tilrettelegge for booking av videokonsultasjon, chat og hjemmebesøk, men også ordinær timebooking. On-demand tjenester kan også være aktuelt. Eksisterende bookingtjenester, og journalsystemene som tilbyr dem, er i dag preget av utdatert UI/UX og tilbudet for sluttbrukere er fragmentert og lite brukervennlig fordi mange terapeuter finner det for kostbart å implementere. Fysionett skal gjøre bookingprosessen enklere, raskere og rimeligere for både klienter og terapeuter. Sluttbrukere vil få et langt bedre tilbud, mens fysioterapeutene på sin side vil nå ut til et landsdekkende marked. Fysionett vil også gjøre det mulig for nyetablerte eller terapeuter som nettopp har fullført utdanning å selge sin kompetanse uten å være tilknyttet en klinikk eller arbeidsgiver. Fysionett skal bli Norges første og største plattform for online fysioterapi hvor fysioterapeuter fra hele landet kan registrere seg, opprette en profil og tilby sine tjenester til kunder over hele landet. Forretningsmodellen bygger på tjenesteformidling i et tosidig marked, ikke veldig ulikt plattformer som Uber, Lyft eller AirBnb og retter seg hovedsakelig mot det private markedet. Den pågående COVID-19 pandemien har fungert som en katalysator for denne ideen. Siden plattformen tilrettelegger for at terapeuter skal nå ut til sine kunder i form av videokonsultasjon og chat.
