Spect8

Spect8 is a norwegian tech startup with a mission to help sports organizations, pro-athletes and sponsors that don’t have enough time, capacity, or the necessary skills to reach their potential in growing fan engagement and commercial value. Due to the power of association among consumers, brands allocate an increasing amount of their advertising budgets towards sports teams and athletes. To measure the value of a sponsorship, sponsors rely on manual measurements and expensive consulting services. At the same time, athletes, clubs, and federations are left with few resources to decide what their commercial value is, and often forfeit revenue (and funding for their sport) by underselling their commercial value. To solve this problem, we have developed a tool called Foqus. Foqus is an easy-to-use machine learning tool created for sports teams and individual athletes to determine their commercial value for sponsorships, and for brands to manage and measure multiple agreements. We are currently working with Norsk Toppfotball, sports associations, clubs and and several brands, and are off to a good start to reach our goal of creating a new industry standard for how sponsorship value is created, measured, and driven. The existing team consists of three business developers with expertise in strategy, marketing, sponsorship, data and analysis. In addition, we have associated development teams with both front-end, back-end and database expertise. We have recently become a part of StartupLab's Accelerator program, are supported by Innovation Norway and have ambitions to scale our business both nationally and internationally in the coming years. We therefore wish to expand our team with a skilled developer who also wants to make a professional career as an entrepreneur. The CTO will have the overall responsibility for the further development and scaling of our core product, Foqus, as well as the development of new tools and concepts going forward.

Sharefox AS

We help rental services get ready for the future The development is clear – We need to make better use of our resources. We need a more circular economy where products are reused by more people and have a longer lifetime. In this picture, renting and subscription of products and services plays an important role. Sharefox has developed a technology platform that enables new models for both startups and established businesses. We are a passionate and highly skilled team of about 12 persons in Oslo, and 10 developers working remotely. In March 2022 we secured 23 million NOK in funding, and will use this money to scale the company further, including going internationally. You can currently find us at Vollebekk Fabrikker in Oslo, but will move to an other place in Oslo in the autumn of 2022.

Layn

Layn has developed a mobile-based digital queueing system that enables businesses to increase customer satisfaction by adding a mobile platform to the customer journey. People hate standing in line in stores, at amusement park attractions, electrical charging points, hospitals, and restaurants. The list goes on. By using Layn, the customer can wait for the service where they want, postpone a ticket, use a Fastlane, VIP ticket, or Future ticket to get to the service they need as fast as possible. Layn has developed a cloud platform that lets businesses use whatever hardware they would like to solve their use case. The platform is flexible and extremely adaptable. There are cases with pure mobile to mobile operations, but there are also cases with touchscreen and digital signage solutions delivered by our partners. For some customers, we integrate the solution with access gates and existing operational systems to get the desired customer journey. Users can either get a paper ticket or use their mobile device to get an electronic ticket. We spend all our time developing a solution that is as intuitive, easy, and smart to use as possible. We aim at reducing the relative time felt waiting. In 2019 the two founders took a family trip to Paris to visit the Eiffel tower. After spending 2 hours in line to get through security and pay for their tickets, they had to go back at the end of the line again to wait for the rest of the family members. Like most people, they hate standing in line. They wanted to create a solution where they instead of physically having to stand in line rather could sit down and have a drink while waiting for their turn in the "digital line". After that, the number of use-cases has just exploded.

Clinsj

The price of you mortgage should reflect your risk - not your capability to negotiate. Clinsj offer negotiating as a service. The mortgage market is asymmetric in terms of information and it can be very challenging for regular customers to navigate between the different offers. 3 out 4 mortgage holders have never negotiated their interest rate and terms after financing, and therefor get penalized for their loyalty. As an individual customer you have little negotiation power with your bank, but with professionals negotiating on behalf of a group of similar customers you do. Clinsj is a startup fin-tech company that aims to help mortgage holders achieve better terms by negotiating on the customers behalf on a continuous basis. If the customers existing bank is not willing to meet market price, Clinsj will move the customer to bank with more appetite that offer market terms. As long as the customer is member on the platform, Clinsj will continuously monitor the market and negotiate when possible. Clinsj is independent and as such take no commissions from the banks. The customer only pay a subscription fee for a 12 month period after receiving value, either by a better rate from their existing bank or a new offer from a competitor. if new value is added in that period the subscription renews. The founders of Clinsj have extensive competence within the banking industry after years of holding different management positions in international banks. The pricing mechanism in mortgages show that there is a market to be met. We believe that "negotiation as a service" is a growing market that can be applied to many consumer products and seek to develop the concept as we grow.

TrustLabs AS

TrustLabs is developing an easy-to-use platform that helps small and medium businesses with authenticating and verifying their online customers' identities without having to deal with complex tools nor robbing the bank. Today everyone building a online business needs to settle with IT security tooling that is extremely complex to operate. These are often tools provided by larger Identity Management vendors cobbled together from multiple acquisitions without consideration of the jobs-to-be-done by the developer and IT organizations. Instead of spending weeks or months, the developers should be able to integrate a social provider or electronic identification (eID) provider in minutes and hours into their apps. Our solution is an highly automated platform supporting OpenID Connect and OAuth as main interfaces. Customer applications will only need to work through a single interface that offers normalized responses across the all identity providers so that our customers don't need custom code for each identity provider their app needs to support. Less code is less failures is less time spent on maintenance. With a highly-automated technology stack we are reducing the costs for everyone so that everyone can focus their energy on where it matters the most - generating value through pleasing their customers! Identity management see rapid changes and new innovations. There is always a battle to beat the malicious actors. We see new blockchain based identity schemes emerge aiming for better consumer privacy. This is all good news! At the same time, its important that businesses don't need to scrap their existing technology investements and any new tech should augment, not replace existing infrastructure. That's why the TrustLabs platform supports the new protocols needed for letting businesses use new mobile wallets, such as the EU Digital Identity Wallet, while still supporting traditional identity systems. The TrustLabs founders have worked in the identity management space for many years building successful products serving majority Fortune 500 companies in their digital transformations. We have first hand experience of the struggles that every business goes through when implementing a digital identity strategy. We believe there is a better way, where also small and medium companies can reap the benefits of serving their customers as online businesses. To do that, the security tooling and especially identity related tooling needs vast improvements, not in number of options or features, but in how they solve the jobs to be done in an easy and intuitive manner.

About Us: We are an Oslo-based independent entertainment and media production company, founded in 2019. Our team members have backgrounds from such diverse fields as banking, finance, business administration, advertising, film production and games development. We also have extensive experience with successful social media influencing, content creation and community building, particularly on Youtube and Facebook. The Problem: Self-actualization is becoming increasingly difficult in a changing and tumultuous world. For many, the cumulative effects of pandemic crisis, financial recession, political polarization and a hardened job market is frustration, and a greater need for entertainment and escapism as a means of self-actualization through vicarious experiences. Our vision is to fulfill this growing need for self-actualization. Our mission is to develop globally scalable products that fulfill the needs the marketplace does not adequately cater to today, and which are capable of surviving both recessions and pandemic crisis. Product/Solution: Our product is entertainment brands, based on proprietary video game properties. We aim to establish these brands first as videogame properties, and then use the passion and investment of gaming audiences as the gateway to expand these videogame properties into Transmedia franchises - including comics, third party merchandise and apparel, as well as licensed adaptations in other media, such as film and animation. Opportunity: The Gaming Market is global from day one, with digital gaming storefronts such as Steam, PSN and XBOX Live retaining millions of existing customers worldwide. Gamers are a heavily invested group of customers with both a high willingness to pay, as well as established networks of influencers and discussion forums, which greatly facilitates advertising efforts. Furthermore, gaming has been proven to be both Recession- and Pandemic proof, with game sales being largely unaffected by 2008 financial crisis, while sales records were broken during the ongoing COVID-19 crisis. Consumer behavior during the ongoing crisis has further confirmed the need for (and subsequently, the financial potential in) self-actualization through entertainment. Why us, and why now: We are passionate about entertainment and the creative process, we have business understanding, insight into the fan mindset and a unique strategy which enables us to see and seize upon opportunities the incumbents in the gaming market have missed. Furthermore, the recent crisis has caused many of these incumbents to struggle with adapting their organization and cost structure to the current working climate. By contrast, a start-up like us may be better suited to develop a sustainable and scalable production pipeline fit for the economy we are moving into. Ved å kombinere enkle og intuitive redigeringsverktøy, et unikt musikkbibliotek og en delt kamerarull-løsning for raskere deling av klipp i grupper skal vi ta opp kampen med de etablerte sosiale mediene ved å revolusjonere hvordan videoer deles. VOED er i dag et team på fire kamerater som sitter hos StartupLab Bergen for å jobbe med prosjektet. Vår MVP lanseres om kort tid etter to års arbeid. Hittil har vi hentet støtte fra Innovasjon Norge og Universitetet i Stavanger, kommet til nasjonal finale i Venture Cup, vunnet GründerHub-stipendet på kr. 50 000,- og deltatt på en rekke akseleratorprogram.
