"Sammen om en jobb" (Together for a Job) is a Norwegian NGO running a mentor program between young immigrants and elderly Norwegians. The program has three principal aims:- transfer skills and knowledge from elderly people at the end of their professional careers to young immigrants just about to start theirs - provide a meaningful activity for people entering into retirement- support young immigrants in their job search- create relationships between different generations and cultures

DAAL Noise Control Systems AS

High levels of wind noise are a health and safety hazard for motorcycle riders. Noise levels can exceed 110 decibels at highway riding, but also reach dangerously high levels even at city-riding speeds. 95% of riders want a quieter helmet. Current measures to combat noise levels in helmets have yielded very limited results. DAAL Noise Control Systems is a Norwegian start-up tech company founded in 2016 by acoustician and motorcyclist Dag Loe and physicist Sigmund Birkeland. DAAL is currently developing an active noise control system (ANC) for MC helmets. Our system dampens wind noise without interfering with important traffic noises like car horns and sirens.

Bookd AS ble etablert i 2021 og jobber med å forenkle bookingprosesser i underholdningsbransjen. Vårt fokus er å tilby underholdning på en enkel og intuitiv måte til bedrifts- og privatarrangementer. Vi har utviklet en app (iOS) hvor man kan finne og booke underholdning på en enkel måte. Vi tilbyr artister, DJs, komikere, foredragsholdere, dansere, kokker og annen underholdning som passer til ulike typer arrangementer. I 2022 er målet å etablere seg i Norge før vi skal skalere videre til nye markeder.Vi har en stor profilbase, samt gode og etablerte partnerskap med flere av Norges største eventbyråer og bedrifter.

Exabel is an artificial intelligence startup based in Oslo, Norway. Exabel’s mission is to synthesize the world’s information and learn how it evolves. We are developing a smart digital assistant software tool for professional investment managers. We are currently a team of 6 full-time employees, with diverse backgrounds; two mathematicians, three software engineers, and a business developer. Combined, we have strong experience with companies like Google, Medallia, Arctic Securities, Intelligent Trading, Microsoft, and Brain Corporation. We are located in Forskningsparken, by StartupLab. The company is well funded for several years of research, product development, and market launch.

Appivate AS

Appivate is a Norwegian company that develops mobile applications. Our primary developing tool is Appcelerator Studio, a program that lets us write a single code and translate it to native Android and iOS at runtime. This makes the development time- and cost-efficient. The primary goal is to satisfy the customers in every single project and to deliver a product that reflects the client´s vision. To ensure that we are on the right path we usually advise our customers to start with a prototype made with a sketch and envision. This makes it easy to determine if the customer and we are on the same wavelength.

SeaSmart AS

Founded on the idea that drone technology can dramatically reduce maintenance costs and improve the efficiency of salmon production by monitoring environmental conditions. Slik virker undervannsdrone fra SeaSmart - Slik virker dronen i merden Dronen er trådløs og har ingen kabler, tau eller propeller som gjør den svært enkel å installere - bare legg den i merden. Den beveger seg i merden ved å endre oppdrift - drar inn litt vann for å synke og skyver det ut igjen for å flyte (patentert). Slik kan den måle hele merden i opp til 6 måneder på ett batteri. Den kan da heller ikke skade not eller annet i merden. -Vedlikeholdsfri over hele verden Data sendes via satellitt som gjør at den har dekning over hele verden. Den er vedlikeholdsfri og trenger ikke vask. Løsningen er kosteffektiv fordi den ikke er avhengig av strøm eller skap på merdkanten og kan leveres per post. -Måler i hele merden Dronen måler med 9 ulike sensorer i hele vannsøylen. Det inkluderer salinitet (haloklin), lys, fisketetthet (ekkolodd), oksygen (Aanderaa), temperatur, turbiditet, støy, bølgehøyde og strøm; samt sammensatte målinger av appetitt, stress og risiko. -Datatilgang og rapporteur Datavisning på nett og på mail. Løsningen støtter ASC-rapportering. Data er også tilgjengelig for BI-systemer eller 3. part i API. I det hele tatt, svært mye i en liten pakke.

Gobi Stories AS

We deliver production and distribution tools for content in the story format, allowing customers to leverage the format on their own platforms or web pages. Adding stories to your webpage, listing or email is often a lot easier than people think. Most of our users are able to embed stories by simply copying and pasting a snippet.

Antagonist

We’re an independent game studio based in Oslo, Norway, which was founded in February 2013 by a group of students at the Norwegian School of Information Technology (NITH). In January 2014 we consisted of 7 members of the team who all have different experiences in their own fields of expertise. Our common goal is that we want to contribute to the indie scene with story-driven games, without compromising the gameplay. Starting up a new company (let alone within gaming) is no joke, and we hope to make it easier for future companies to make games. It’s a small pond, and as soon as we announce our projects, our vision is to have an exposed development during production. We're an in-house startup backed by one of Norway’s fastest growing companies; Elektroimportøren, a wholesaler of electrical equipment who disrupted their industry by selling directly to end consumers both online and in over 20 retail stores across Norway. Working as a startup and building on our parent company’s strengths and infrastructure has enabled us to scale fast and make our service available to over 70% of Norwegian households. The Problem Our research show that people feel stress just thinking about hiring an electrician and that many struggle to even get started. The main reason being that they don’t know who to contact and what it will cost them to get the job done. But they are also worried because of stories they hear of poor results or misleading prices leading to surprises when the invoice arrives. As a consequence they’ll ask friends or family for recommendations to avoid making the wrong choice. Lack of trust and clarity around pricing creates uncertainty and often leads people to postpone contacting an electrician until absolutely necessary. They learn to live with suboptimal solutions because getting the job done requires too much effort. And when they finally decided to hire an electrician they often experience the person not arriving at the agreed time, and without the necessary equipment to get the job done. The frustration reaches its boiling point when they then have to pay for the extra time needed to drive and pick up the equipment. Our Solution We have digitized the whole process of hiring an electrician, creating a seamless journey from need to end result and a superior booking experience that puts the customer in the driving seat. 01 Instant Fixed Price We’ve built a job-configurator with an inbuilt price calculator making it possible for customers to get a fixed price instantly by answering a few simple questions. This way our customers get’s a price in advance and no surprises when it’s time to pay. 02 Free Video Inspection In addition to our simple job-configurator our customers can book a free video inspection the next day. We’ve hired a team of electricians and built a digital inspection tool making it possible to create and send offers with a fixed price within 24 hours. 03 Handpicked Pros We’ve handpicked pros from Elektroimportøren’s already established network of contractors across the country. This way our customers don’t need to spend time finding a trustworthy electrician and can feel safe knowing the job will be done by qualified professionals. 04 When it Suits You We’ve built a scheduling system from scratch that allows our customers to choose when they want the job done. They simply pick a time and date in our digital calendar and the job is automatically delegated to one of our electricians in the area. 05 Efficient installation We’ve utilised the retail stores across the country to streamline logistics and make installations efficient. Grentech Innovators AS is dedicated to: Give Waste a value. We are developing new waste management solution by using biotechnology for convertion of organic waste like food waste, into protein and organic fertilizer. The traditional waste management solutions like landfill, composting, biogas production or incineration are all leading to green house gas emission and the economic value of the end product is low or negative. The greenhouse gas Methane is a 72 times more potent greenhouse gas than carbondioxide, and organic waste on landfills are responsible for 11 % of Methane emission. The global aquaculture industry is a great source for healthy food and has been in strong annual growth for decades, but in order to continue growing it is crucial to find new sources for feed,in particular protein and omega-3 oils. The supply of traditional feed sources like fish meal and soy are limited, and there are environmental conserns to increase soy production. In Greentech Innovators we are now investing in a pilot plant for fermentation of food waste into Single cell protein and organic fertilizer in Bergen. We have a dedicated team, and the second largest waste management company in Norway,BIR ,as partner. We are now searching for investors to finalize the pilot palnt and scale up the production. The Company Arcticode is developing an easy to use mobile order and payment service to help food and beverage venues capture feedback while at the same time creating better loyalty from guests by incentivizing feedback through loyalty points. The issue We solve an issue common in the bar, venue and club scene. Customer insight and feedback. There is often less dialogue between guests and staff, and guests these days demand more and more from every visit. This occurs especially in the younger generation starting with millennials and younger. They constantly seek the best experience and will move on from a venue quite fast if expectations are not meet. Most venues in both the food and beverage sector could benefit from having a simple solution to better capture feedback while at the same time providing a simple mobile order and payment solution. The Solution Our solution combines ordering and feedback into one service. The service lets you order and pay while out for food and drinks with your phone as this is becoming the preferred way today while also capturing feedback in-app which provides cash points. These can then be used for discounted meals, snacks, goods, drinks etc. (not alcoholic beverages – Norway edition). We create a win-win situation of having guests leave feedback while also being enrolled in a loyalty program which creates higher interest and recurring visits. Why we do what we do Having worked in the food and beverage service sector you may encounter a lot of less friendly feedback at times, but this is often individuals who do not represent the majority of guests. But when you just don’t know this can make a workday long and tiresome, and rarely inspire anyone to provide a better service.
