The List Media AS

The List Media is the publisher of The List magazine, Trondheim's first and only English-language magazine, and the region's premier culture publication. The List magazine is a quarterly print publication, free and available from many different spots around town, including aboard the airport buses, all major hotels, the international schools, NTNU, SiT, Trondheim Havn, bars, cafes, SINTEF, Statoil and more. The List magazine is produced in collaboration with Trondheim kommune, Trondheimsregionen, and NTNU, plus many other advertising partners. The List Media also publishes a range of special editions about everything from science and technology to food and drink. The List media also produces print products and marketing materials for private customers.

Several statistics underline the challenges of the modern world: 50 % or more are single. 50 % are cheating. 50 % or more break up or divorce. 25 % on sick leave as a result of a relationship breakup. Low libido is now a public health problem. 48 % have only one friend, but not a reliable one in a crisis. 50 % of the population wants more friends. We become more sick from our private lives than our work lives (Modesta Olsen, 2007), and the modern family is the most common family structure (Almendingen, 2010). Which social structures can survive the strain of losing the qualities of faithfulness, honesty, and decency? Cynicism becomes our defense. Depression and feelings of emptiness are the prices we pay. Giving hugs, care, and trust to others not only bring greater happiness - it can also lead to better business. Icebreakercard.com is a new world movement to solve these social challenges. It fights for its vision: Love and friendship locally and globally! Our big goal is to improve your life quality. As social entrepreneurs, we are called the fourth sector which cooperates with the other three: private, public, and civic (Ellis, 2006) with an optimal mix of high tech & high touch! In this paper, I will present my research findings in the Western world (mainly Norway and USA) and my part of the solution as a social entrepreneur of Icebreakercard.com. A social entrepreneur has been described as our time's hero and heroines. We create solutions where none of the sectors have succeeded well enough. Bad relationships lead to health problems in the population across age and gender. Mental health conditions are now the key concern in all of the OECD countries. The employer and the community take the economic bill when the employee is on sick leave. The disease is a private matter, but absence is not. Startup Migrants

Startup Migrants is a company based in Berlin and Oslo. We help cities to boost job creation. We are passionate about collecting and analyzing data that can help cities to solve their challenges. Our data is collected from 15 countries, 45 cities and over 200 in depth interviews with policy makers, entrepreneurs, NGOs and migrant founders. We also have created Startup Preschool, a 3-day crash course in entrepreneurship with and for young multicultural talents. We have so far done 84 Preschools and planning to many more in Norway, Germany, Austria and the UK and other countries. Our more than 1000 participants are now part of an acive alumni group and go on applying to accelerators and starting companies.

The Digital Gardener

The Digital Gardener is a planning tool and gardening community for small-scale vegetable producers and home gardeners. We help growers plan what to grow, as well as when, where and how to grow it, so that they can focus on making their plants thrive. The demand for locally produced, sustainable food is increasing. Despite this, small-scale vegetable producers struggle to make an income. Predictable supply is essential to make efficient use of available market channels for direct to consumer sales, and a good plan is a key prerequisite to achieve this. The Digital Gardener aims to help small scale producers achieve the needed predictability by making it easy to create and maintain a good plan, and by helping them keep on top of work to be done throughout the growing season. The interest in gardening and homesteading has also surged during the corona crisis. Unfortunately, many aspiring home gardeners lack the needed growing competence to succeed with their gardening projects. Ambitious homesteaders face similar challenges as professional growers, as they need a good plan to ensure that they can harvest fresh produce for their family throughout the season. The Digital Gardener aims to help all growers succeed with their gardening projects, and will enable them to share information and experience to help and inspire others to succeed as well. The Digital Gardener is a software company. Our goal is to build software that contributes to an increase in the amount of food that is grown locally, as well as increased biodiversity in green spaces and home gardens. We partner with other organisations, people and companies that provide competence, heirloom seeds, tools and methods that can help us achieve this goal.

Topcamp is building a camping business chain, mainly by buying or incorporating existing campsites with untapped potential and modernizing, streamlining and to a much greater extent digitizing the business. The previous owners of sites most often become partners in the process. Topcamp combines traditional core values such as good hosting, high-quality facilities, a rich range of activities and experiences – with modern business operations, technological operation and management tools.

Eka has created an Agri B2B & B2C app named Smart Farmz, and will be spinning it into a separate entity. Smart Farmz will be an Agri-Tech start up aimed at providing digital solutions to Farmers. Smart Farmz has created farm management solution, and market place solution for farmers to sell their crops, sell or rent out machinery, sell or lease our their lands. Smart Farmz aims to disrupt, supply chain, financials & contracts within Agri sectors using smart contracts. We are working towards providing omnichannel digital solutions to Farmers, their customers & their suppliers. A working smartfarmz B2C App is already available in google store.
