Exabel AS

Exabel is an artificial intelligence startup based in Oslo, Norway. Exabel’s mission is to synthesize the world’s information and learn how it evolves. We are developing a smart digital assistant software tool for professional investment managers. We are currently a team of 6 full-time employees, with diverse backgrounds; two mathematicians, three software engineers, and a business developer. Combined, we have strong experience with companies like Google, Medallia, Arctic Securities, Intelligent Trading, Microsoft, and Brain Corporation. We are located in Forskningsparken, by StartupLab. The company is well funded for several years of research, product development, and market launch.

Barcontrol Systems AS

Barcontrol has been a supplier of checkout and logistics systems to the restaurant industry for over 20 years. We were one of the first on the market with iPad-based solutions when we started with Gastrofix in 2014. We are a one-stop shop and assist restaurants all the way with the choice of cash register solution, from advice and implementation to operation and support. We also develop integrations to connect the checkout solution with accounting, inventory management, ordering solutions and more. We tailor solutions that are suitable for everything from large restaurant chains to small coffee and wine bars. We will be restaurant owners' preferred partners for technology solutions.

Resoptima is a young technology company, experiencing rapid growth. We develop innovative software solutions, helping upstream oil and gas companies improve efficiency, understand risk and make better investment decisions. We operate in an international environment and have customers in all major regions. We have successful software solutions, clearly differentiated from alternative solutions. We have a proven track record of innovation, and several promising ideas in the pipeline. We have great offices, centrally located in Oslo.

Smileworks

Smileworks disrupterer den norske tannhelsebransjen verdt 18 milliarder kroner årlig. Vårt mål er å forbedre den norske tannhelsen gjennom å ta smerten ut av kundereisen ved bestilling av tannbehandling. Vi vet at kostnadene og stresset forbundet med tannhelse er grunnen til at mange unge i dag ikke prioriterer et besøk på tannklinikken, før de kjenner på tannverk. Dette ønsker vi å gjøre noe med. Smileworks er tannhelseklinikken for den moderne forbruker - med faste og forutsigbare priser, enkel booking eller drop-in, og lange åpningstider, og sentrale lokasjoner midt i shopping-sentere og handlegater. RightHair

RightHair is developing a global market and education platform for curly and afro-textured hair to help people and minority women solve the problems of lack of availability of products and services and women's challenges in being financially independent worldwide. Through RightHair we give women all over the world an opportunity to start their own businesses and be financially independent. We do this by creating a software platform to connect freelancers, retailers and hairdressers to their customers. And we top that off with a “skill share” community for education. People with curls and afro textured hair are excluded from offers and services in today's beauty industry. Also, financial abuse is one of the main reasons why women are unable to leave relationships, worldwide. These problems contribute to discrimination in society, that women with minority backgrounds end up outside society and this makes the poor poorer. Women of color are excluded from many of the existing offers worldwide. RightHair solves these problems by creating a market platform where all services and products meet. So that people with curly and afro textured hair always can find something in their area. We also solve women's job and financial challenges around the world by offering a platform on which they can sell their products and services. Here they also get the opportunity to take courses, learn how to start and build a business and collaborate with partners outside their network. RightHair was founded by Lalla Coulibaly and Olimata Jeng who both grew up in Norway with roots from Africa. Due to the lack of offers for themselves and their community, the ladies each started their own platforms. Over the past 5 years, Krølltopp.no and Norwegian Naturals have grown into Norway's largest platforms for curly and afro textured hair with a total of 12,000 monthly users. now the ladies have teamed up to start RightHair as the question they get the most on their platforms is “where can I get my hair cut” and “where can I find products?''. Both ladies want to put time and energy into something that can contribute to women's opportunities and living conditions. This desire comes from their own experience as minority women in Norway with African roots.

Layn

Layn has developed a mobile-based digital queueing system that enables businesses to increase customer satisfaction by adding a mobile platform to the customer journey. People hate standing in line in stores, at amusement park attractions, electrical charging points, hospitals, and restaurants. The list goes on. By using Layn, the customer can wait for the service where they want, postpone a ticket, use a Fastlane, VIP ticket, or Future ticket to get to the service they need as fast as possible. Layn has developed a cloud platform that lets businesses use whatever hardware they would like to solve their use case. The platform is flexible and extremely adaptable. There are cases with pure mobile to mobile operations, but there are also cases with touchscreen and digital signage solutions delivered by our partners. For some customers, we integrate the solution with access gates and existing operational systems to get the desired customer journey. Users can either get a paper ticket or use their mobile device to get an electronic ticket. We spend all our time developing a solution that is as intuitive, easy, and smart to use as possible. We aim at reducing the relative time felt waiting. In 2019 the two founders took a family trip to Paris to visit the Eiffel tower. After spending 2 hours in line to get through security and pay for their tickets, they had to go back at the end of the line again to wait for the rest of the family members. Like most people, they hate standing in line. They wanted to create a solution where they instead of physically having to stand in line rather could sit down and have a drink while waiting for their turn in the "digital line". After that, the number of use-cases has just exploded.

Ferdia

Ferdia har som mål å digitalisere og fornye turbussbransjen gjennom en Uber-lignende tilnærming. Vi skal revolusjonere turbussmarkedet gjennom å digitalisere små og mellomstore turbusselskap og ved å gjøre det mye enklere å leie og bruke turbusser. Det være seg til firmaturer, festivaler eller fotballkamper. Turbussbransjen i Europa er preget av et stort antall busselskap og lite digitalisering. 85% av tiden står bussene parkert eller kjører på veien uten passasjerer i setene. Våre nye digitale tjenester kombinert med maskinlæring og rute-optimalisering vil gjøre det mulig å utnytte bussenes kapasitet mye mer effektivt enn i dag. Vi har fått støtte fra Innovasjon Norge, inngått samarbeid med Tide, et av Norges største busselskap, og har begynt arbeidet med internasjonalisering. Dette blir et spennende år!

Techrail

Norway’s unique landscape necessitates one of the most extensive tunnel networks in the world. 1800 road and rail tunnels contribute to 9000km of tunnel in Norway. These are inspected manually by eye and on foot, a time-consuming and hazardous process producing only qualitative data on tunnel safety. To combat these issues, Techrail aims to provide an integrated solution that is safer for inspectors, that does not interfere with traffic, and more comprehensively evaluates the safety of tunnels. Our solution enables the measuring the change of a tunnel’s surface over time, which allows tunnel directors to predict maintenance needs and more accurately evaluate the state of their tunnels. A digital paper trail will also aid regulators in overseeing tunnel maintenance. Furthermore, our technology has a large number of secondary uses that provide value such as Building Information Modeling (BIM), tunnel construction, and crack detection.

Onboard Norway bistår bedrifter og organisasjoner som flytter utenlandske spesialister til Norge. Vi jobber med spennende bedrifter og organisajsjoner som ansetter veldig interessante folk fra hele verden. Det gjør at vi i det daglige har med masse fantastiske folk å gjøre. Målet er å gjøre prosessen med flytting til Norge så smooth som mulig slik at disse spesialistene kan flytte hit uten bekymringer - fokusert på sin nye jobb og sitt nye liv i Norge fra dag én! Selv om konseptet ble startet opp allerede i 2009 har Onboard Norway gått inn i en ny fase som Startup med satsning innen flere nye service-områder og nye geografiske områder. Vi driver fleksibelt og er i en typisk "Start-up: Scale-up" fase.

With our sharing-economy concept Leid, we are on a mission to change consumption one rental at a time. Our goal is to make equipment rental the obvious choice for all your home projects. We have made sure that the customer can book what they need and be able to pick up instantly. They get the perfect “equipment” for the job without having to pay a fortune for those 30 seconds they needed it. Instead of the glue gun ending up forgotten at the bottom of the drawer. We make sure that it gets a lifetime of usage.

Utdannet.no er en norsk edtech-startup som utvikler nettkurs i digitale programvarer, kreative fagfelt og grunnleggende forretningsferdigheter. Med støtte fra Innovasjon Norge og Forskningsrådet utvikler vi nestegenerasjons kursplattform, med mål om å gjøre kompetanseutvikling moro, spennende og tilgjengelig for alle. 👋😊 Med over 1 million videovisninger, 20.000 registrerte medlemmer og en gjennomsnittlig årlig vekst på 45 % er vi godt i gang med å befeste vår posisjon i det norske markedet. Fraxx Interactive AS

Fraxx Interactive AS er en norsk edtech startup etablert i 2019. Bedriften har i 2020 lansert direct-to-consumer plattformen Fraxx.no - et videobasert digitalt kursunivers som gjør det mulig å lære fra de mest anerkjente ekspertene innen underholdning, livsstil og sport i Norge og på sikt i resten av Skandinavia. I november 2020 lanserte de sine første kurs med noen av de beste innen sine felt: Bent Stiansen, Anders Aukland, Halvor Bakke og Fæbrik-gjengen. Fraxx ønsker å gi tilgang til kunnskapen disse ekspertene har gjennom en læringsplattform som gir engasjerende og underholdende innhold av høy kvalitet – og som er lette å lære fra. Målet til Fraxx er å gi flere mennesker tilgang og fleksibiliteten til å lære akkurat hvor og når det passer dem. I en hektisk hverdag blir det enda viktigere å ta vare på og utvikle egne interesser, og dette ønsker Fraxx å bidra med.
