Icebreaker Global Søreide

A global movement to make it fun & easy to break the ice between people to find true love, friendships, and social activities with an optimal mix of high-tech & high-touch organized as a Master Franchise. The top management team at Wilh. Wilhelmsen ASA bought the idea in 2006 as a social benefit. Love & Friendship locally & globally - health & peace! Personal matchmaking, online dating, friendships, mingling! Improving relationship health! Every semester the university (UNIS) has an icebreaker party! Since 2004 I have tested out different ideas and found them possible to succeed. Several statistics underline the challenges of the modern world: 50 % or more are single. 50 % are cheating. 50 % or more break up or divorce. 25 % on sick leave as a result of a relationship breakup. Low libido is now a public health problem. 48 % have only one friend, but not a reliable one in a crisis. 50 % of the population wants more friends. We become more sick from our private lives than our work lives (Modesta Olsen, 2007), and the modern family is the most common family structure (Almendingen, 2010). Which social structures can survive the strain of losing the qualities of faithfulness, honesty, and decency? Cynicism becomes our defense. Depression and feelings of emptiness are the prices we pay. Giving hugs, care, and trust to others not only bring greater happiness - it can also lead to better business. Icebreakercard.com is a new world movement to solve these social challenges. It fights for its vision: Love and friendship locally and globally! Our big goal is to improve your life quality. As social entrepreneurs, we are called the fourth sector which cooperates with the other three: private, public, and civic (Ellis, 2006) with an optimal mix of high tech & high touch! In this paper, I will present my research findings in the Western world (mainly Norway and USA) and my part of the solution as a social entrepreneur of Icebreakercard.com. A social entrepreneur has been described as our time's hero and heroines. We create solutions where none of the sectors have succeeded well enough. Bad relationships lead to health problems in the population across age and gender. Mental health conditions are now the key concern in all of the OECD countries. The employer and the community take the economic bill when the employee is on sick leave. The disease is a private matter, but absence is not. Sereluna designs and sells its own menstrual underwear for the Norwegian market. We are the first menstrual underwear brand in Norway. Menstrual underwear has built in protection and is designed to be washed and reused for several years. Menstrual underwear completely replaces disposable protection like pads and tampons. The reason why Sereluna was created was to offer ladies in Norway a sustainable and more comfortable choice when they have their period. Our whole value chain is within Europe.

RightHair

RightHair is developing a global market and education platform for curly and afro-textured hair to help people and minority women solve the problems of lack of availability of products and services and women's challenges in being financially independent worldwide. Through RightHair we give women all over the world an opportunity to start their own businesses and be financially independent. We do this by creating a software platform to connect freelancers, retailers and hairdressers to their customers. And we top that off with a “skill share” community for education. People with curls and afro textured hair are excluded from offers and services in today's beauty industry. Also, financial abuse is one of the main reasons why women are unable to leave relationships, worldwide. These problems contribute to discrimination in society, that women with minority backgrounds end up outside society and this makes the poor poorer. Women of color are excluded from many of the existing offers worldwide. RightHair solves these problems by creating a market platform where all services and products meet. So that people with curly and afro textured hair always can find something in their area. We also solve women's job and financial challenges around the world by offering a platform on which they can sell their products and services. Here they also get the opportunity to take courses, learn how to start and build a business and collaborate with partners outside their network. RightHair was founded by Lalla Coulibaly and Olimata Jeng who both grew up in Norway with roots from Africa. Due to the lack of offers for themselves and their community, the ladies each started their own platforms. Over the past 5 years, Krølltopp.no and Norwegian Naturals have grown into Norway's largest platforms for curly and afro textured hair with a total of 12,000 monthly users. now the ladies have teamed up to start RightHair as the question they get the most on their platforms is “where can I get my hair cut” and “where can I find products?''. Both ladies want to put time and energy into something that can contribute to women's opportunities and living conditions. This desire comes from their own experience as minority women in Norway with African roots.

Cloud Insurance is a seamless and user-friendly SaaS solution made by insurance experts for insurance companies, MGAs, agents, and brokers since 2016. Founded by ambitious minds. While studying together, our founders observed various complications in the insurance industry. Being two ambitious and tech-savvy students, they decided to help and challenged the status quo. After many sleepless nights, they launched the first version of a SaaS product to serve our first client. Partner – not a vendor. Our international team consists of techies, ex-consultants, and heavy hitters from the finance and insurance industries. We know everything about your daily operations, and we're determined to make them more productive and cost-efficient. We aren't a vendor but a partner who works to help you act faster and innovate easier. And we have lots of templates in place so that the process will take weeks, not years or months. Customer-first company. We're finalists of many insurtech competitions, but this is not as important as the great feedback we get from our clients. Thanks to our platform, on average, we see up to a 50% decrease in time-to-market and a 40% increase in revenue. While many of our competitors are just announcing innovative features, our clients have been using them for a while.

This is an app that you have on your phone . It functions as a shield to protect you when you need it. This app uses your family and friends to protect you .when. You are in trouble . you open the app . And take a photo of the person you deem as a threat . This photo is instantly distributed to your family and friends . Who also receive directions on how to get to you by the shortest possible route via google maps . By car or bus bicycle or walking . The police are called up so that you have the option to talk to them should you deem it necessary. We also have a paid version of The app . This version includes a crime map that shows crimes that have recently been committed . this is extremely helpful for places you are visiting and has full coverage in the UK and most of the USA . The reason I am doing it Sitting at home one night, I received a call that changed everything. While working alone in London, my brother had been brutally attacked with a hammer. I was devastated and felt completely powerless. He was miles away in another country, what could I do to help? Nothing! Walking along the river, thinking about what had happened, I looked down at the water and suddenly it came to me. I knew what I had to do. I had to find something that would make everyone safer and help prevent these kinds of attacks from happening again. I realised I could use the one thing everybody carries with them, their phone, as a shield to protect them! This idea became the Guardians app.

I flere tiår har boligprisene utviklet seg i et langt raskere tempo enn lønnsveksten, og som et resultat av dette ender stadig flere opp utenfor markedet. Dette er en uønsket utvikling ettersom en høy andel boligeierskap har flere samfunnsmessige gevinster. En av årsakene til denne utviklingen er at det de siste 100 årene ikke har vært vesentlige endringer i måten vi bygger og bor på. I Co-Own har vi en ambisjon om å gjøre boligmarkedet tilgjengelig for alle, og samtidig hjelpe unge mennesker å bygge meningsfulle fellesskap. Dette gjør vi ved å hjelpe mennesker med å finne andre som de kan kjøpe seg inn i kollektiver sammen med. Vi bistår i hele prosessen med å etablere nødvendige avtaler, skaffe finansiering, tilrettelegge for et godt bo-forhold, og til slutt gjøre det enkelt å finne kjøper til egen andel når man er klar for å reise videre. På denne måten kan mennesker nyte de sosiale fordelene av å bo i et kollektiv - og samtidig ta del av de økonomiske fordelene av å være del av boligmarkedet.

Our SaaS platform will give better KPIs(Key Performance Indicators) to real estate investors and managers. The KPIs will help them make more sustainable long-term decisions; better for their wallet and better for the planet.
