Independent Business Accelerator- IBA Norway

IBA Norway is a non-profit organization working on accelerating and capacity building of small and medium sized businesses. In 2019 IBA Norway, together with IBA Ethiopia Center for Innovation; Ministry of Innovation & Technology, Ethiopia; African Union and Foreign Ministry of Norway via Royal Norwegian Embassy in Addis Ababa organised a very successful first pan-African Innovation Week, a platform to bridge the gap between innovation & investment so as to build the future leaders of Africa. AIW is determined to move Africa forward towards an inclusive & prosperous continent led by technology. 2nd edition of AIW is scheduled from 26.10 to 31.10 at the African Union HQ in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia

Metaito

We founded Metaito in February 2019, after spending more than four years at NTNU. The initial idea was sparked in 2014 when we discovered the challenge of organizing our resources as students. Since then, we have gone through several iterations of prototypes. We created a platform for organizing and sharing tools, links and documents on the Internet - Factsplat. As of Q3 2024, we have several paying customers, investors, raised amount of 5 467 041 NOK, almost 6,000 users of the platform, contracts with various non-governmental organizations, 19 sports teams on board as our partners, a solid team, and a working product. Factsplat has evolved into a platform designed to help users manage their digital lives efficiently. Our mission is to give individuals and organizations control over their online resources, ensuring they are organized, accessible, and shareable, thereby reducing distractions and improving focus. We want to create a distraction free environment where you can organize the internet in a way that makes sense to you, while utilizing the strengths of the community. We want to give you focus and collaboration, without compromise.

Kinga Insurance

Kinga Insurance is a B2B cloud based insurance platform. We enable the rapid development and deployment of next generation products for insurers.Founded in 2018, Kinga, taken from Swahili means to protect or provide immunity. Our offering was borne out of the need to accelerate product development. By using cloud based services we offer our services through a SaaS (software as a service) revenue model.Currently in talks with Top 5 insurers in South Africa, we are looking to launch in 2019.

RagnaRock Geo

RagnaRock Geo develops AI software which aids oil and gas companies in exploration. The software uses machine learning to interpret subsurface data and has an intuitive interface that acts as a "smart assistant" for exploration experts. RagnaRock Geo’s mission is to make the interpretation workflow more efficient and creative so that geoscientists can focus on the value-creating tasks. We are a young and agile startup that aims to excel at using machine learning on subsurface data.

He has extensive experience as a leader of callcenters and sales-organisations within finance and media.Rune is one of the founders of Headshed, and a member of the board.------From September 2017, Headshed will join NTNU Accel and be located in the Sparebank 1 SMN Fintech incubator at Søndre gate in the centre of Trondheim. Headshed has also been selected to participate in TINC during oct/nov 2017. TINC is a technology incubator programme in Silicon Valley hosted by Innovation Norway.

Bitcamp

Bitcamp helps children and teenagers build their own Apps and Games.Students learn best when they are building real things. In all of our courses we are working towards building a project. From establishing a brand, through idea for the app or game, design, coding and testing, to publishing and getting users. None of our courses presume any prior coding experience and most of our students have never programmed before. Bitcamp started in June 2017 and have already had over 150 students.Bitcamp provides a strong alternative to regular education. Our students learn much faster and are more engaged than in their regular classes. We hope to inspire the next generation of software and game entrepreneurs.App examples are Instagram, Reddit and Twitter. Game examples are Flappy Bird, Cookie Clicker and Chameleon Run. None of our courses presume any prior coding experience and most of our students have never programmed before. However, every single student has their own App or Game by the end of the course.
