Kastel Shoes

Kastel is a "Street Function" footwear brand inspired by California and shaped by Scandinavia. It embraces the laidback lifestyle of Southern California combined with the clean and functional design of Scandinavia. Kastel aims to only add functions that make everyday life easier while maintaining a clean and simple silhouette. Making bad habits just habits..   Born and raised in Southern California in the mid-90´s, Kastel has been brought back to life in Oslo, Norway to combine the best of two very different worlds. We at Kastel believe that people today use shoes in ways they were not intended, like sneakers in the rainy seasons, and therefor decided that we will take on the task of being the provider of functional footwear that address the actual needs of the urban lifestyle. This way we can turn our bad habits into just habits.

Vidi As

Vidi is a media agency that is growing rapidly and a complete supplier of internet services with 11 years experience in the industry. We are a strategic partner and digital supplier for several major companies and organizations in Norway. In addition to our headquarters, we have partner companies within the advertising / print and film / advertising production. This enables us to provide our customers a wide range of services.

MadeToGrow

Bi ønsker at de unge skal få gode vekstvilkår så de kan utvikle seg selv og sine evner. Vi vet dette handler mye om hva slags innstilling og tankesett man har. Vi vet også a dette tankesettet kan endres. Vi utvikler derfor et utviklingsprogram som styrker t veksorientert tankesett, mestringstro og robusthet til at takle utfordringer på skoken og livet ellers. MadeToGrow utvikles i første omgang for lærere, elever/studerende og foreldre og er testet ut ved en ungdomsskole med gode resultater. Vi ønsker at MadeToGrow skal kunne være tilgjengelig og enkelt å ta i bruk for alle, uansett om man ønsker å gjøre det på egenhånd, sammen på skolen eller med familien. Derfor utvikler vi nå en nettbaseret løsning hvor du blandt annet får lære om hva som skjer i hjernen når vi lærer, hvordan vi kan utvikle våre evner og hvordan vi selv og andre kan påvirke vårt tankesett.

NewSchool

NewSchool develops innovative digital tools for collaboration and project based learning by combining agile working methods, psychology, games and mobile media.The tools draw on a set of successful business practices  - the kanban boards for Lean Management, adapted to education purposes, in real-time. By focusing on the organization of the process, not its content, it helps develop self-regulation and collaborative skills for 21st century learners. We are an education technology start-up, with extensive change management experience, unique insights in workforce trends and technology, and pedagogy at its core. All team members have solid international experience from fields like mobile technology, business development and technology management, international education, instructional design, and learning sciences research.The team consists of Fredrik Harloff, Chief Executive Officer, and Mihaela Tabacaru , Community Manager, both co-founders of NewSchool, working full time. The third co-founder, Stian Hofslett Thowsen, works full time as a teacher and part of management team at Langaugen secondary school in Bergen, Norway. Besides the three co-founders, NewSchool relies on an interdisciplinary board of administration with senior level execs: Anne Posner, Bjarne Solhaug, and Paal Kaperdal, all with broad experience, covering international business development expertise, publishing house and human resources expertise, and digital transformation expertise. Frequent contributor and education research expert is Marina Hirnstein, PhD in cognitive psychology, expert in learning analytics .We have offices in Bergen and Oslo,  members of two incubators: Nyskapningsparken in Bergen (http://www.nyskapingsparken.no/) and SoCentral in Oslo, Nordic Center for Social Innovation (www.socentral.no). With an international mindset from day 1, we have been testing our product in classrooms across Europe, from Norway to Denmark, Portugal and Romania, to USA. Our extensive education network made it also possible to plan pilots in emerging countries like India and Iraq.

Newcycle

We are building Newcycle, because we want to end the throw-away society.   Every year our global society throw away 100 billion tonnes of materials. This obviously can't continue. At the the core of this issue lies a general perception that new things are more valuable than things we already own. Or that things new from the store is better than buying it used from someone else. We believe that if it was easier for people to treat the things they own better, keeping them maintained and in mint condition, this perception would change. We started Newcycle on an ambition to kickstart a circular revolution in retail and consumerism. The way we exploit our planet’s resources needs to change. The way we buy things needs to change. And the way we own things needs to change. With the Newcycle app, consumers can create an inventory of everything they own, to get an overview of their products. It's free to use the app, and we offer additional paid services, like reselling their used items. By giving consumers access to digital twins of everything they own, we make it easier for our users to maintain, repair, refine, buy and sell their products, regardless of whether they are the 1st, 2nd or 8th owner of a product. In the app The Newcycle app connects the owner of a product with the retailer who sold it and the producer who made it, for the entire life span of the product, benefiting both the consumers and the producers of the products. The positive result is longer use of the products and in the end recycling. We won’t change the world all by ourselves, but looking back ten, twenty or forty years from now, we’ll see that our role was a central one. Waybiller provides digital waybill solutions for logistics companies, making freight truly paperless. The software allows companies to switch from paper waybills to e-waybills, which results in lower costs and greater transparency. Founded in 2017, Waybiller was a brainchild of a team of developers and business consultants at Thorgate. After creating three very successful waybill softwares for the forestry industry, Waybiller was created as a spin-off to make the logistics industry paperless!

Tekslo Seafood

Where The Atlantic Ocean meets the Northern Sea, and along the coast of Norway, lies an under-used and fairly unknown natural resource. Our forefathers sustained themselves from the ocean for thousands of years, and for them seaweed was a vital source of vitamins and minerals. All of us that started Tekslo were raised by the ocean, and together we share a dream of creating a more sustainable Earth and reverse the trends on food and health – as we introduce seaweed to the world. Our harvesting areas are located in the sea close to Tekslo lighthouse, west of the island Tofterøy on Sotra. With its perfect currents, clean, clear and high-nutrient water, no fish farming or other pollutants, it is an optimal site for finding high quality seaweed! We harvest wild seaweed by hand from reefs, rocks and islets close to the coast. This allows us to only and carefully collect the best quality. We then dry the seaweed in our custom-designed room, which is built inside a traditional boathouse.
