ZEN OCEANS is a startup developing fully electric, autonomous-ready ships to affordably decarbonize ocean transport. We will think big and nudge the market for fully electric ships from 0 to 1. To fund our vision, we will develop products that in themselves can scale into large revenue-generating operations; among them maritime batteries (ZENERGY) and autonomy solutions (OCEANEYE). The future of ocean shipping is simple, safe, and sustainable - the frictionless fabric of global trade. Consequently, we consider the argument for electric and autonomous ships to be very strong. We offer a unique opportunity to rent an electric bike via an app. The bike is designed to be safe, simple and efficient for all users. With our system we can control where the bikes must be parked, so that it does not hinder pedestrians or riders. This is called HUB/geo fence, which is both flexible and tidy. We are the first in the market with this idea for electric bike rentals run by local founders from Oslo. Our goal is to create a web of transport connected to all districts in Oslo. Speedfriending is a Scandinavian startup aiming to create social arenas where strangers meet, talk and friend zone each other. We want to simplify connecting to the social grid, wherever you are. Battkomp designs, produces, and repairs li-ion batteries in the 0.5 to 10 kWh range for mobility applications. We strive to grow into a battery factory that builds high-quality, high-performance batteries for demanding applications. We source the best cells from our partners, and cover the module assembly, housing, and battery management part of the value chain. We have design, manufacturing, and maintenance in-house. We want to run the whole business from Norway, betting on automation instead of cheap labour, quality over quantity, reliability over price, local over foreign. We work with Oslo Kommune, Hesselberg Truck AS, Bolt, Buddy Bikes, and various other companies. We are looking to start a large research project in co-operation with UiO in the near future. We are 2 people and 5 3D-printers working full time at the moment.
