Versiro develops software that accelerates the energy transition. Renewable electricity is great for the environment but difficult to plan because its production depends on uncertain weather conditions. Versiro develops an AI copilot that helps renewable producers make smart decisions in real time while considering these uncertainties. This assists the integration of renewable energy and increases its profitability, two key factors to enable the green energy transition. Versiro was founded by researchers at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) and follows the observation that, in electric power systems, the traditional pipelines from research to industry are too outdated to keep up with the fast-paced world of machine learning.

Gruten is an Oslo-based company that creates new value and meaning from coffee waste. We use coffee grounds in the production of soap and body scrub, and run an educational program with lectures, courses, and workshops to create awareness and knowledge about coffee grounds as a valuable resource.  We have a small production/workshop/outlet at Torshov, and sell our products on our own webshop + in ca 35 stores around Oslo and the rest of Norway. At the moment we are working hard to set up a site for mushroom production, growing oyster mushrooms on coffee grounds. When we get a go-ahead for this we will be in demand for funding to set up the production site (we will be growing in used cooling containers, so-called reefers) and need people to work on the site.

There are three things that make BiWAS stand out from all other comparable products: 1) It provides real-time monitoring 2) It monitors a broad spectrum of toxicants, carcinogens and pathogens 3) It does this in a very cost-effective way We have among other things been through the av Horizon 2020 phase 1 project and are presently performing two projects to prove the technology in real environments. High levels of wind noise are a health and safety hazard for motorcycle riders. Noise levels can exceed 110 decibels at highway riding, but also reach dangerously high levels even at city-riding speeds. 95% of riders want a quieter helmet. Current measures to combat noise levels in helmets have yielded very limited results. DAAL Noise Control Systems is a Norwegian start-up tech company founded in 2016 by acoustician and motorcyclist Dag Loe and physicist Sigmund Birkeland. DAAL is currently developing an active noise control system (ANC) for MC helmets. Our system dampens wind noise without interfering with important traffic noises like car horns and sirens.
