GI EN HÅND er en frivillig organisasjon med hovedmålet å bygge broer mellom det fremmede og ukjente, integrere minoritetsgrupper og skape en sterkere generasjon som vil styrke Norge som nasjon og land. GI EN HÅND handler om å hjelpe medmennesker ved å vise at du er der for dem som et medmenneske, en støttekontakt og som deres personlige norsklærer, veileder for samfunnets normer og regler, jobbsøker støtter. Ved å gi en hånd kan du være med på å skape en kjedereaksjon av positive handlinger og utfall: du vil kunne påvirke og endre et menneskes liv som igjen vil påvirke og endre flere menneskers liv som igjen vil påvirke og endre samfunnet vi lever i. Vær med på å gjøre en forskjell. Alle kan hjelpe. Alle kan gi en hånd. Alle kan gi et smil. Veldig mange vet ikke hvordan de skal hjelpe på en annen måte enn å gi klær og penger. The story of Lingu started in the non-profit organization KIA which works with integration and Norwegian language teaching. The founders Edward Milsom and Odd Bjerga worked in this organization and came into contact with skilled and resourceful people from many different countries. Til tross for kun 5 mm uknuselig skille mellom ute og inne, gjør gode oppvarmings- og ventilasjonsløsninger det komfortabelt. Panel-, gass- eller vedovn, samt kjøle- og varmepumpe er gode løsninger for å gjøre det behagelig inne. Om skjerming for innsyn er viktig, er det bare å trekke opp rullegardinene.
