My system is based on my almost 20 years in this busyness. I have been a sailor who has trusted my own life on such equipment. I have been fortunate enough to use such equipment to save others. I have been responsible for the maintenance of such, I have worked with the leading manufacturers of such equipment as well as with companies providing service and inspections. I have also been part of the international organization responsible for the development of the rules for lifesaving equipment, and I have monitored this work closely for the last 10 years. I have seen all sides of the above-mentioned struggle. I know at the end of the day safety is at stake.
