SurplusMap

Introduction to SurplusMap SurplusMap is on a mission to revolutionize the way we develop and optimize EV charging infrastructure. By leveraging advanced geospatial tools and machine learning models, we empower energy companies, local utilities, and charge point operators to make informed decisions about site selection and utilization prediction. This ensures the efficient and effective deployment of charging stations, addressing a critical need in the rapidly growing electric vehicle market. Our secret advantage is our ability to draw on Norway's leadership in EV infrastructure, combined with our collaborations with top-tier partners like Google and Bentley Systems, to deliver cutting-edge solutions. The challenge we face is significant: the current pace of infrastructure development is insufficient to meet the future demands of the booming EV market. The market is highly fragmented, causing inconvenience for EV users and difficulties for energy companies and local utilities trying to optimize their investments. For instance, the EU mandates the installation of 6,000 new charging points per week by 2030, a target that is far from being met with the current rate of deployment. This gap presents a substantial opportunity for innovative solutions like SurplusMap to make a real difference. At SurplusMap, we focus on ensuring our customers invest wisely. Our sophisticated, map-based software integrates geospatial data and machine learning algorithms to pinpoint optimal sites for new charging stations. This means our clients can invest in the right locations, install the ideal number of chargers, and maintain high utilization rates over time. By doing so, we help them maximize their investments and build a robust EV infrastructure network that meets the demands of the future. We are driven by a vision of cleaner, more sustainable cities. Electric vehicles are crucial in reducing air pollution and creating healthier urban environments. However, the key to this transition lies in the efficient deployment of charging infrastructure that provides greater flexibility to the energy grid, allowing for more renewable energy sources to be integrated. At SurplusMap, we are passionate about facilitating this energy transition. By optimizing EV charging infrastructure, we help accelerate the shift to cleaner energy, positively impacting both the environment and the communities we live in. Join us in our mission to create a greener, more sustainable future through innovative technology and strategic planning. Together, we can drive the change needed to make our cities cleaner and our energy systems more resilient.

Qpaws – Dog Activity App

Qpaws is a cutting-edge digital platform transforming how dog owners manage and enhance their pets' well-being. Our startup is solving several critical challenges dog owners face, especially in today's fast-paced world where dogs often struggle with insufficient exercise, poor nutrition, and irregular health monitoring. The problem is more urgent than ever, with studies indicating that over 70% of dogs are overweight, leading to a wide range of health issues that affect their quality of life. Qpaws started by focusing on the highly demanding dog sport of mushing, where monitoring dogs' activity and health is crucial. However, we quickly realized that the problems we were solving for mushers—like optimizing training, tracking feeding, and improving overall dog care—are problems all dog owners face. Whether it's the daily walker, the outdoor enthusiast, or the professional trainer, every dog owner wants to provide the best for their furry companions. This realization led us to expand the app's features to appeal to all dog owners, creating a more inclusive platform that anyone can use, regardless of their activity level or how many dogs they care for. We solve a wide range of dog care challenges through smart, intuitive technology. At its core, Qpaws tracks activity, ensuring that dogs get enough exercise to maintain a healthy lifestyle. But it doesn't stop there. We also provide tools for health monitoring—keeping track of vaccinations, vet visits, and other medical needs. On top of that, the app offers personalized nutrition advice, guiding owners on the best diet for their dog based on breed, age, and activity levels. One of the unique aspects of Qpaws is its open approach to hardware integration. Most dog tech platforms are closed ecosystems, requiring expensive, specialized devices that limit their accessibility. Qpaws flips the script by being hardware-agnostic. You can use it with any wearable you choose, or none at all, making it an affordable and scalable solution that meets the needs of dog owners around the world. This accessibility, combined with the app's social networking features, allows dog owners to connect with a global community, sharing tips, experiences, and inspiration, making dog care more enjoyable and rewarding. As the global pet tech industry booms, Qpaws is perfectly positioned to grow rapidly. We already have a solid user base of over 14,000 active members and 32,000 dogs tracked on the platform. But this is just the beginning. Our goal is to transition from a niche product for extreme sports enthusiasts to a widely used app for all dog owners. With 350 million dog owners worldwide, the total addressable market is vast. We're gearing up for international expansion, with a particular focus on the UK and US markets, where pet ownership and interest for pet care are at all-time highs. In summary, Qpaws is not just an app for tracking your dog's walks—it's a comprehensive tool designed to improve every aspect of dog care. From exercise and nutrition to health monitoring and community engagement, Qpaws addresses the key challenges dog owners face today and provides innovative solutions to ensure their dogs live longer, healthier, and happier lives. With our vision, technology, and market potential, Qpaws is poised to lead the digital transformation in the pet care industry globally. Are you a developer and want to be part of our exciting journey, get in touch at sigmund@qpaws.com Your passion for dogs is optional—your passion for building world-class software is what truly matters.
