Sloyd is using automation to make the creation of 3D faster and more accessible and to make 3D rendering more efficient. We are building a simple-to-use WebApp to quickly generate 3D assets and a software development kit for performance-efficient runtime creation in video games and virtual worlds. Sloyd combines procedural generation techniques, machine learning, and a commitment to real-time optimization to provide the best 3D automation tools. Sloyd is a remote-first company and employees can work from home, a shared-space hub, or from the main office in Oslo. Biozep is discovering and developing first-in-class drug products for the treatment of severe eye diseases which can lead to vision loss and where it is a high unmet medical need. Biozep has discovered novel drug substances based on bioactive lipids which modulate central pathways involved in the pathogenesis of eye diseases. Targets and biomarkers are identified based on a system biology approach combined with in-depth knowledge about bioactive lipids, their endogenous synthesis and mechanisms of action. Biozep has made a prototype drug product based on our lead compound for topical administration and the product will be tested in animal models in 2018. Our goal is to start clinical studies in 2020. Biozep is a company depending on both internal and external resources. Biozep has established its own laboratory in Oslo in order to do synthesis, purification, quality control and chemical development in-house. The biological testing of the drug substances is performed in collaboration with carefully selected contract research organizations both in Europe and the USA. In order to reach the market as fast as possible and to reduce risk, Biozep will seek strategic partnerships early in the drug development phase. Biozep seeks partners with complementary competence and with resources to conduct clinical trials and with market access. We are already in dialogue with potential partners and hope to sign an agreement in 2018-19.

RESPINOR is a privately-owned medical device company, founded in Oslo, 2015. We have developed an objective measure of breathing for critically ill patients within intensive care. The technology provides precise, continuous and real-time information of diaphragm function, our main breathing muscle, to increase the quality of care and reducing costs. RESPINOR’s technology is the winner of Horizon 2020 both in phase I and II. We are addressing an unmet medical need because every breath counts.

Homeboxx is a convenient box for private homes or workplaces for the delivery of goods ordered from online stores regardless of the recipient's home or not. The Box is equipped with an electronic lock to keep the groceries safe and protected at all times. The box will have insulation material and may also have an active cooling or heating system to ensure different temperature zones, chilled and normally for temperature-sensitive goods like food. An app is included in the box to communicate with the end user, carrier, and the online store.

Fishency Innovation can give access to the entire salmon industry to affordable equipment to count automatically sea lice in the cage. Monitoring sea lice is the key to controlling them, it is access to good decision support for optimized treatments and to a reliable tool to measure the efficiency of preventive measures and existing treatments. Today, sea lice are counted manually over 20 fish, every week, in each cage. It is labor-demanding, and the collected data are not reliable. Sustainability starts with good data.

Startup Migrants is a company based in Berlin and Oslo. We help cities to boost job creation. We are passionate about collecting and analyzing data that can help cities to solve their challenges. Our data is collected from 15 countries, 45 cities and over 200 in depth interviews with policy makers, entrepreneurs, NGOs and migrant founders. We also have created Startup Preschool, a 3-day crash course in entrepreneurship with and for young multicultural talents. We have so far done 84 Preschools and planning to many more in Norway, Germany, Austria and the UK and other countries. Our more than 1000 participants are now part of an acive alumni group and go on applying to accelerators and starting companies.
