Advanced Precision Systems AS

Advanced Precision Systems (APS) is a Norwegian defense-tech startup developing Fenix, a software module for aerial strike drones that enables in-motion release of low-cost, unguided munitions against ground targets. ABchar

ABchar is developing a new type of pyrolysis reactor, affordable heating and the possibility of small-scale biochar production, adapted to agriculture.. This will help achieve the goal of a 40% reduction in emissions from the agricultural sector. What is pyrolysis? Simply put, this is the heating of an organic material without access to oxygen. This leads to a series of reactions that ultimately result in 3 main products; biochar, oil and gas. We want to utilize the biochar in this process. The oil and gas will be burned and the heat from this will be used to dry grain, heat barns, greenhouses, residential buildings and other things that need heat on a farm. Why pyrolysis and biochar? Plants absorb CO2 from the air around us through photosynthesis. They are actually extremely good at this too. The residual product is mainly oxygen and the plant material. The great thing about pyrolysis is that we are able to separate water, oxygen and hydrogen from the plant material and we are left with more or less pure carbon 80% +. This is carbon from the air! If we take this coal and spread it on our agricultural land, it will be stored there for up to 1000 years and perhaps longer. In some cases, the soil will become more fertile and less vulnerable to periods of too much or too little water.

Qpaws – Dog Activity App

Qpaws is a cutting-edge digital platform transforming how dog owners manage and enhance their pets' well-being. Our startup is solving several critical challenges dog owners face, especially in today's fast-paced world where dogs often struggle with insufficient exercise, poor nutrition, and irregular health monitoring. The problem is more urgent than ever, with studies indicating that over 70% of dogs are overweight, leading to a wide range of health issues that affect their quality of life. Qpaws started by focusing on the highly demanding dog sport of mushing, where monitoring dogs' activity and health is crucial. However, we quickly realized that the problems we were solving for mushers—like optimizing training, tracking feeding, and improving overall dog care—are problems all dog owners face. Whether it's the daily walker, the outdoor enthusiast, or the professional trainer, every dog owner wants to provide the best for their furry companions. This realization led us to expand the app's features to appeal to all dog owners, creating a more inclusive platform that anyone can use, regardless of their activity level or how many dogs they care for. We solve a wide range of dog care challenges through smart, intuitive technology. At its core, Qpaws tracks activity, ensuring that dogs get enough exercise to maintain a healthy lifestyle. But it doesn't stop there. We also provide tools for health monitoring—keeping track of vaccinations, vet visits, and other medical needs. On top of that, the app offers personalized nutrition advice, guiding owners on the best diet for their dog based on breed, age, and activity levels. One of the unique aspects of Qpaws is its open approach to hardware integration. Most dog tech platforms are closed ecosystems, requiring expensive, specialized devices that limit their accessibility. Qpaws flips the script by being hardware-agnostic. You can use it with any wearable you choose, or none at all, making it an affordable and scalable solution that meets the needs of dog owners around the world. This accessibility, combined with the app's social networking features, allows dog owners to connect with a global community, sharing tips, experiences, and inspiration, making dog care more enjoyable and rewarding. As the global pet tech industry booms, Qpaws is perfectly positioned to grow rapidly. We already have a solid user base of over 14,000 active members and 32,000 dogs tracked on the platform. But this is just the beginning. Our goal is to transition from a niche product for extreme sports enthusiasts to a widely used app for all dog owners. With 350 million dog owners worldwide, the total addressable market is vast. We're gearing up for international expansion, with a particular focus on the UK and US markets, where pet ownership and interest for pet care are at all-time highs. In summary, Qpaws is not just an app for tracking your dog's walks—it's a comprehensive tool designed to improve every aspect of dog care. From exercise and nutrition to health monitoring and community engagement, Qpaws addresses the key challenges dog owners face today and provides innovative solutions to ensure their dogs live longer, healthier, and happier lives. With our vision, technology, and market potential, Qpaws is poised to lead the digital transformation in the pet care industry globally. Solstorm Rocket Propulsion

Solstorm Rocket Propulsion makes the next generation of rocket engines using hybrid propulsion technology and 3d-printed fuel cellsAs the market for commercial space industries matures we are seeing smaller and smaller satellites being built and with it, increasing demand for small satellite launchers providing dedicated launchesAs existing engines are mainly developed by government agencies, military providers with non-export policies, and competing launch vehicle providers, most market entrants are forced to develop all their own engine designs from scratch. This is a major bottleneck in the development of smaller launch vehicles, forcing every actor to go through the same R&D process before they can perform their actual business services. By providing a commercially available off-the-shelf rocket engine design for the launch vehicle's upper stage, we want to save these launch companies the initial years of testing and research needed, letting our customers skip the r&d-heavy initial process of engine development and go straight to value-generating satellite launches. Reducing the time from inception to launch by several years, we relieve rocket launcher companies of the insecurity and stress related to the development of rocket engines and let them go straight to launch, bringing more cargo to orbit.
