Gungnir of Norway is a Norwegian startup company that designs and manufactures high-quality gym equipment. The company’s first product is the Allrounder, a standard Olympic barbell with built-in collars for securing weight plates. The built-in collar system or “SlideLock” makes the lifting experience safer, faster, easier, and more reliable than the standard safety equipment in use today. Also, the SlideLock system can be applied to several other bar types like compact group training bars or loadable dumbbells. This solution has shown enormous potential in the fitness market, which we intend to continue to take advantage of. The SlideLock is the first of many solutions that we seek to create within the fitness equipment industry. FASK founder Aarseth has worked as seaman in many years, the last years offshore and within anchorhandling. He came from goods/bulk trade and older secondhand vessel types to a offshore environment with new and modern vessels with top equipment of all categories onboard. It was therefore nearly  a shock-experience for him, when he at his first rig-move and this up to date working environment,  observed working methods associated with the stone-age while performing the opening of kenterlinks. Aarseth thought to himself that this operation seemed dangerous and cumbersome. He thought of his own sons working in this industry, and felt that this needed a better solution. That thought was the beginning of the kenter link opener, and Fask Tools. Aarseth came in contact with Statoil and Havila, who were immediately interested, but that required testing of this then unknown tool in  safe environment before testing/operation offshore. Testing was performed onshore by Kongsberg Devotek and later offshore and in operation onboard the Havila Mars.
