Halify AS operates on markets within the field of urban spatial area management, with a specific focus on Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) and urban mobility. We have supplied solutions for Horizon2020-funded projects (VICINITY, CrossMove, BIG IoT), and received support from the Research Council of Norway on projects like Komét and Sparkling, and cooperated with the NCE environment in Horten and Oslo. Based in Kongsberg - the heart of the Subsea Valley - Kongsberg Ferrotech is utilizing world-leading competence to develop the first-ever automated solution, the Oktapous, for riser cleaning, NDT inspection, maintenance (coating), and structural repair (glass/carbon fiber reinforcement). The repair will be performed inside the patented Habitat - allowing for composite repairs subsea and in the splash zone while offering quality as if the repair was performed in a laboratory environment. The Oktapous will offer the client around 50% cost reduction, together with improved quality and significantly reduced HSE risk compare to existing solutions by removing the need for rope access, divers, and ROVs. Kongsberg Ferrotech is partly funded by the Malaysian-based oil and gas company, Petronas Charigali. This ensures us access to the market needs during development, an offshore platform for prototype testing, and the critical first client for market acceptance.
