And as the last leg of this international picture, today's available solutions are mostly based on recruiting service providers instead of giving them the opportunity to be the owner of their business which make the sustainability of those models strictly dependent on the those business owners instead of relying on the owners of the practical knowledge and craft. Repasdo is a marketplace for unique, creative services of textile and relevant secondhand materials. It’s home to people providing special, extraordinary services and products, from repaired pieces to handcrafted and vintage treasures. While today’s main trend is into secondhand shopping online solutions, Repasdo focus is to provide possibility to create ‘added value’ instead of pure thrift store business model. By providing business and market opportunity (online store + learning, low cost material & equipment) to potential service providers, secondhand textile can be repaired or be used as raw material for new product (in as many different ways as service providers can manage to come up with). Repasdo Platform (as the first in its market) is to provide a platform for creating jobs, micro and small businesses (own by service providers) while providing practical learning and access to different type of secondhand textile as material and online stores as places for those businesses to thrive. Navnet sier det meste: vi stiller opp slik et barnebarn ville gjort. Et menneske på døra, god teknologi i ryggen. Problemet vi jobber med er at mange eldre faller mellom familie som ikke rekker det, og en kommune med vedtak og ventelister. De trenger trygg, fast hjelp uten byråkrati. Det er det vi gir dem, med samme hjelper hver gang. Det som gjør oss spesielle: hjelperne våre er unge mennesker, og for mange er dette den første jobben. Hvert besøk blir et generasjonsmøte der en ungdom og en senior faktisk blir kjent. Vi tror unge kan styrke eldreomsorgen og avlaste en presset kommune, og vi bygger en bedrift som beviser det. We are enabling the mounting of solar systems in fragile or challenging terrains. Current mounting structures are based on pile ramming, concrete or similar solutions. This limits the number of locations for ground mounted solar systems or makes it very expensive to build these systems. These systems are also very labour intensive, making it difficult to develop solar systems in locations where labour is hi-cost. Since current mounting structures is best for large flat areas, these systems also face competition for other purposes also valuing large flat areas. This makes the alternative cost of the area rather high. We are aiming on mitigating these challenges with our mounting system, opening for larger solar systems in areas that until now have been deemed not suitable. This because the soil conditions are too difficult, the terrain demands too much soil cultivation making the cost high either economical or ecological, the labour cost is too high, or the flat and open landscape is prioritized for other purposes than solar systems. We are not competing with existing mounting system, but opening new possibilities for more solar energy worldwide.
