We give buyers a chance to get beauty services performed wherever they are located. We help beauty stylists create a living out of their dreams and to be their own boss by giving them a platform to showcase their work, get bookings and a dashboard with all necessary tools. The way people use beauty services today is unnecessary complicated. There is a million different choices and they are all on different platforms, lacking a uniformed list of information. Beauty services are performed in salons- as they have been for the last 100 years. In recent years more and more stylists have transferred their businesses to Instagram where they can showcase pictures of their work and get in touch with potential clients, doing their bookingsystem via direct messages. This has resulted in a huge and unstructured beauty service market, confusing for both buyers and sellers. Making it difficult for buyers to get an overview of the offers and for stylists to be visible for customers, as well as a lacking booking system. On top of this buyers still have to travel to the salons and set all of their responsibilities aside to get a service performed in a salon. This problem affects men and women, in all ages and lifestyles all over the world. Especially in Norway with our remote landscape, hectic lifestyles and beauty needs always developing. Nabostylistens solution to the mentioned problems above is a one-stop-hub for buying and selling beauty services. Giving a full and uniformed overview of stylists and their services within your area with prices, pictures, duration, descriptions, bio of stylist, timeslots available and a booking flow. Customers can choose to get the service done at their location to fit beauty needs into their hectic everyday life. Stylists will only need nabostylisten for all of their duties, booking overview, chat, services and profile, income section, working schedule and a platform to showcase their business. Nabostylisten is founded by Tomas Erdis, a well known and sought after makeup artist with over 13 years of experience. Tomas is one of Norways absolute best and most booked stylists. He has worked with brands, celebrities, other profiles and regular customers. He noticed that normal people did not know if they were allowed to book him for his services, or how to do it. He has been delivering services at location all of his career and noticed that for other stylists this was not the regular way to work. He was able to meet his clients needs by travelling to them, and in doing so he became very popular. 
Tomas knows what it’s like to be on your own, trying to get a name for yourself in the business. He wants to help other stylists so that they do not have to go through the same challenges as he did. He also wants buyers to be able to express their beauty needs and for everyone, no matter who you are to get beauty services that suit you!

Vandre is a young Norwegian tech company with the ambition to impact the environmental situation by making textile brands succeed in reducing their footprint by making clothes and garments live longer. The world’s garbage piles are growing. In 2021, 40.000 tons of used fashion clothes ended up in the Atacama desert in Chile as their final destination. This is just one example of how the textile industry is not even close to being sustainable. The sports and textile industries face strict requirements and a major upheaval, when the EU is planning to introduce sustainability reporting and requirements to offer consumers repair of products in 2025. Our platform connects brands in the industry with certified repair centres and facilitates a seamless user journey with logistics and payment options. The platform is also a sought-after tool at repair centres, as it helps to make their daily operations more efficient. We have currently launched in Norway, and plan to expand to the rest of the Nordics and beyond in the future. Our HQ is in a co-working space office in downtown Oslo – a two-minute walk from Nationaltheatret, where we share office with a small PE fund, and have lunch break together with. We also have employees in other cities working remotely. As a small team, some of us are quite often on the go and strive to stick to our digital workplace practices as much as possible. This enables the whole team to work quite flexibly when needed, together with some well-appreciated face time at the office as often as possible. Today the team is communicating openly using Slack and ClickUp to organise daily work and product development. RESPINOR is a privately-owned medical device company, founded in Oslo, 2015. We have developed an objective measure of breathing for critically ill patients within intensive care. The technology provides precise, continuous and real-time information of diaphragm function, our main breathing muscle, to increase the quality of care and reducing costs. RESPINOR’s technology is the winner of Horizon 2020 both in phase I and II. We are addressing an unmet medical need because every breath counts.

New drugs for treating diseases of Down syndrome. More than 1% of the global GDP is spent on nursing demented people, and the number requiring nursing will triple within 2050. The disease is progressive, leading to death. There is no current cure available, only symptomatic treatments. Individuals born with Down syndrome have a more than 10x risk of developing dementia as well as a host of other diseases including diabetes. Our drug target, DYRK1A is an enzyme found on chromosome 21, and is considered a key factor determining developmental and medical challenges faced by individuals with Down. The enzyme interacts with multiple biological mechanisms involved in Alzheimer’s and autoimmune diseases. Advanced drug designUsing advanced drug design technologies, we have designed a potent DYRK1A inhibitor drug, PST-900. A use and substance of matter patent have been applied for. The company is currently working on chemical Lead Optimisation with 8 full-time medicinal chemists contracted.Financing and milestonesThe Company raised NOK 5 million in 2015 and 8.8 MNOK in 2016/2017, matching non-dilutive research (BIA) and business grants (Innovation Norway). We demonstrated Proof of Principle in a model system for Alzheimer’s disease in 2Q2016. We have also demonstrated that our drug is capable of reversing diabetes in an animal model. Together with clinical and regulatory advisors, we have identified an important unmet need for a drug to treat newly diagnosed diabetes. We will use this indication to quickly progress to market and from there develop analogous drug molecules in Alzheimer’s disease, focused especially in Down syndrome. Funding soughtThe current funding round will raise 15+ MNOK to fund the progression to the final Development Candidate during 2018. Following this, further funding will be sought to perform toxicology/safety and Phase 1 clinical studies. Excitus is set up to develop, manufacture and sell medical suction products based on its revolutionary, patent-pending mobile suction platform. Products will span from professional hand-held tools for paramedics to consumer devices in a private home and stored together with the defibrillator at supermarkets, stadiums, etc. The platform enables a higher survival rate at cardiac arrests, yet at the same time, it provides a razor/razorblade business model unseen in this area.

Think Outside is now Mitta AS, a subsidiary fully owned by Mitta Oy. Mitta will be offering geodata monitoring and measurement services to the Norwegian market, bridging the growth of the Finnish and Swedish Mitta companies to new Norwegian customers. For us at Mitta, accurate and reliable positioning is extremely important, as it is a basic prerequisite for spatial information. High-quality input data means cost-effectiveness in design, construction and monitoring, regardless of the customer's industry. Mitta is the market leader as a producer and processor of terrain information in the infrastructure sector in Finland and Sweden. Our customers operate in the construction value chain from design to production.

Based in Kongsberg - the heart of the Subsea Valley - Kongsberg Ferrotech is utilizing world-leading competence to develop the first-ever automated solution, the Oktapous, for riser cleaning, NDT inspection, maintenance (coating), and structural repair (glass/carbon fiber reinforcement). The repair will be performed inside the patented Habitat - allowing for composite repairs subsea and in the splash zone while offering quality as if the repair was performed in a laboratory environment. The Oktapous will offer the client around 50% cost reduction, together with improved quality and significantly reduced HSE risk compare to existing solutions by removing the need for rope access, divers, and ROVs. Kongsberg Ferrotech is partly funded by the Malaysian-based oil and gas company, Petronas Charigali. This ensures us access to the market needs during development, an offshore platform for prototype testing, and the critical first client for market acceptance.
