Our customers are based in Norway and enjoy using online shopping as their main channel for buying the products they love. We are working to help our customers find the products they want at a trustworthy, user-friendly place where they can enjoy the user experience while shopping.

Drylab R&D AS

Drylab is revolutionising the film industry with state of the art technology to automatically organize all the thousands of clips in a production, increasing quality and saving hundreds of man hours.  We make it possible to keep the entire film production in your pocket. Collect metadata from the set, automatically connect it to clips, and organise them so you can find whatever you are looking for in seconds, even off-line. In the words of Norway's leading producer, Erik Poppe: "It's a revolution". Our culture is one based on trust. We trust that the other will do what is best and perform, as we should. At the same time, we have a culture of motivation and we appreciate and acknowledge each other’s achievements. At the same time, this culture of feedback also makes it easier to identify areas of improvement building upon the trust we have established with each other. What is also important is that it is very easy to come up with new ideas—you are not shut down and we make sure to discuss ideas and then figure out whether or not to pivot.

WeWantToKnow

WeWantToKnow is a French-Norwegian company that focuses on Game-Based Learning. Its first product is the math game "DragonBox" and it has more games in the planning stages. The company was founded by financial analyst turned math teacher Jean-Baptiste Huyhn, the leading French game developer Patrick Marchal, and former Opera Software executives Rolf Assev and Christen Krogh. WeWantToKnow aims to make learning fun, easy and addictive. DragonBox does away with tedious equations and math quizzes, replacing them instead with a simple game involving cards and a magical box. The game evolves as kids master the skills and concepts presented. After one hour of playing DragonBox, twelve-year olds can tackle equations their parents struggle to solve. DragonBox was pre-launched in Norway to let schools, kids and parents test the game. Almost immediately, it rocketed to the top of the charts, becoming the most purchased app in the Apple App Store in Norway-- displacing other, more traditional games - check it out at - www.dragonbox.com

Varig Technologies

Varig helps owners, managers, and tenants of commercial real estate make their buildings sustainable and meet new green regulations. We offer a SaaS software, which measures, improves and reports on sustainability using innovative features. Our goal is to reduce the environmental impact of buildings and involve all stakeholders in the green transition. Bember AS

Smart retailers have strong webshops and lots of tools and data to drive traffic and conversion. But most of their business is still conducted through their physical locations. Using our tools, the physical shops are able to communicate and adjust their customer experience to the individual. Using the existing payment cards and terminals, we recognize the customer and capture all relevant data as is the norm online. This unique information is used to design a better shopping experience in the physical space. Our customers are the well-known retail brands you know from shopping malls across Northern Europe and the malls themselves. Norway and the Nordics already lead the world in electronic payments and the use of mobile and SMS to enhance sales. Now, we are pushing this further by combining access to the existing infrastructure surrounding shopping and a digital mindset to build closer relationships between retailers, shopping venues and their customers. Educas helps high school and university students learn how to learn. Our digital platform Superlæring gives students the insights and tools they need, and is used by students and teachers alike. Our content is based on scientific research from areas such as psychology and cognitive neuroscience, and is validated by learning experts.

Cognite

Cognite has a unique starting point and great of momentum on its side. The idea behind Cognite came when I was working on a digitalization project with the industrial conglomerate AKER ASA.  In less than 15 years there will be over 50 billion physical assets and machines connected to the Internet, and over seven billion Internet consumers. The exponential growth of data resulting from the increase in Internet users, combined with machine learning (ML) and artificial intelligence (AI) will challenge the status quo of across all industries. We believe that data handling will become a competitive advantage for industrial companies across a range of sectors. Unlocking its tremendous capabilities should not just be for an elite group of companies. Ripple Aerospace is a Norwegian aerospace company developing the oceanic Sea Serpent launch system. Leveraging Norway's long history of seafaring, shipbuilding, and maritime technology, we are developing a rocket class capable of being built, launched and recovered on the sea. Given the inefficiency of the space economy and launch service industry, our goal is to bring to market a mobile, reusable and scalable launch system capable of delivering medium, heavy and super heavy payloads into space. With industrial and commercialization partners from across Norway and abroad, the oceanic Sea Serpent launch system aims to be the preferred method of cargo transportation into space, providing the global economy a low-cost and accessible launch system.

Hive Initiative

The Hive Initiative is creating tools to help companies integrate adaptation and mitigation efforts within their organisation through design-thinking workshops and implementation frameworks. As our planet warms and ecosystems continue to change, businesses will be increasingly required to make meaningful- and reportable- changes. As most people do not have a background in environmental science, it can be challenging to understand the full picture and how roles can be adapted. And while sustainability courses and seminars convey knowledge, it remains challenging to keep the energy high, the culture empowered, and the knowledge put into practice. The Hive Initiative’s Mini Climate Summit makes it easy to address these challenges. It brings employees together in real time to learn science-based facts and then gives them a forum to collaborate on solutions. With ideas captured and implemented, KPIs are met, ESG requirements are fulfilled and culture is strengthened. The result: more minds that help make company sustainability more active, enabled and empowered, which in turn makes society more educated and resilient. We are a group of people with high levels of climate anxiety- but also high levels of optimism. We want to use our skills in design and communication to make it easier for everyone to stay educated, hopeful and empowered, which will make it much easier for all of us to adapt to our changing world. As the founder, I wanted to work on solutions every day, and did so while having a day job. After 4 years, myself and my collaborators have built up a good product prototype, solid relationships with other climate orgs, and solid vision of what we hope to achieve. So it was the right time to focus on this fully. I really do believe that all of us want a world that is fair for everyone and is in harmony nature. We just have to figure out how to get there.

Litech

Litech, founded in 2021, is an Oslo-based startup specializing in developing sensor systems to detect and remove hazardous objects, such as flammable batteries and gas bottles, to prevent fires and explosions at waste facilities. Our vision is to create sustainable and safe waste management by eliminating the harmful impact of incorrectly sorted hazardous materials. We are currently running pilots with two major players in the waste management industry. We collaborate with partners in the waste industry and R&D and are part of the vibrant Startuplab ecosystem, benefiting from its extensive network and resources.

Kvikk Forsikring

Kvikk is a B2C Insurtech company disrupting the travel insurance sector through our mobile platform. Designed with millennials, Gen Z and their expectations in mind, our vision is clear: 
Revolutionizing the way we protect ourselves while exploring the world. We are leveraging GEO-fencing technology to distribute, personalize and offer quotes tailored to your location in real-time. No more hassle with paperwork or waiting in line. We are 100% digital and are providing a full insurance experience in the pockets of everyone leaving their homes. In Norway 50% of all young adults don't have travel insurance, and they perceive insurance as complicated, expensive and unavailable. At the same time, the insurance industry lacks digitisation with only 40% of all insurance sales taking place on a digital platform. We have developed travel insurance tailored to the specific needs of each traveller, all within a convenient and user-friendly app. By harnessing the power of GEO-fencing we ensure travellers receive seamless coverage when and where they need it, offering a level of flexibility unseen in the industry. We have built the insurance product, and we are going to build the app. Simen started working on Kvikk while studying Innovation & Management, and has previously been travelling around the world several times and do understand the importance of travel insurance. We honestly believe that insurance companies should do better. In this digital world, insurance should be more available for the customer. There should be possible to buy insurance, get an overview and file claims within minutes, and always available in your own pocket. We also believe in fair and transparent products, where the customer actually gets a personalised products tailored to their own travel pattern. We want to rewrite the rules of insurance by making it available, fair, easy and personalised.
