Aid in Action is a voluntary organization that was started in 2008 by the then 19 year old Anne Louise Dæhlin (then Hübert), after visiting a poor village in Kenya. After initially helping to meet a dire need for food, Aid in Action has focused on sustainable development for the local community. We use social entrepreneurship to help poor people and children in need. We are – and want to be – a small and efficient organization that works closely with local, resourceful people in Africa. Our projects are mainly in Kenya. We are working within the areas of education, agriculture, stimulating local industry, water supply, roads, and assistance to orphans. The money we receive from our donors always goes directly to the projects, and none of it is spent on administrative costs on European side. This also means we pay no salaries to those who work with us here. We keep our donors updated with frequent posts on our web page and Facebook. Ferdia har som mål å digitalisere og fornye turbussbransjen gjennom en Uber-lignende tilnærming. Vi skal revolusjonere turbussmarkedet gjennom å digitalisere små og mellomstore turbusselskap og ved å gjøre det mye enklere å leie og bruke turbusser. Det være seg til firmaturer, festivaler eller fotballkamper. Turbussbransjen i Europa er preget av et stort antall busselskap og lite digitalisering. 85% av tiden står bussene parkert eller kjører på veien uten passasjerer i setene. Våre nye digitale tjenester kombinert med maskinlæring og rute-optimalisering vil gjøre det mulig å utnytte bussenes kapasitet mye mer effektivt enn i dag. Vi har fått støtte fra Innovasjon Norge, inngått samarbeid med Tide, et av Norges største busselskap, og har begynt arbeidet med internasjonalisering. Dette blir et spennende år!

THE IMPORTANCE OF SOUND Research has shown that a well composed sound environment has direct impact on how the guest’s overall experience and even how the taste of the food and drinks are perceived. LARGE INVESTMENTS IN SOUND EQUIPMENT Most restaurants and bars know how important the sound environment is for a good customer experience and it is common to spend thousands of dollars on sound equipment. WHAT DECIDES THE VOLUME? The volume is usually controlled manually by waiters or bartenders in-between their other duties. Safedesign AS was established in 2018 in the wake of a booming solar industry in Norway. Solar installers need an improved system to safeguard the workers. Typical solutions, such as scaffolding are time-consuming and costly. Safedesign AS is growing, and taking market shares in the solar sector, but also in telecom and refurbishment. We need more competent people on the team to scale the business. We need more hands in the areas of economy, marketing, sales, and hands-on roof work. We are in the process of further developing our product to make an impact in general roof refurbishment. This is a well-established market, we see great benefits with our product compared with scaffolding, especially in urban areas.

Project Plast is a Norwegian based non-profit organisation established in 2019. We believe in the power and agency of local communities and our aim is to contribute to finding solutions for the ever growing problem of plastic pollution. We are currently building a shredder and an injection machine which will enable us to directly recycle plastic in our community. Another key purpose of our organisation is to rise awareness and inspire others, especially young people, to be actors for change.
