Aid in Action

Aid in Action is a voluntary organization that was started in 2008 by the then 19 year old Anne Louise Dæhlin (then Hübert), after visiting a poor village in Kenya. After initially helping to meet a dire need for food, Aid in Action has focused on sustainable development for the local community. We use social entrepreneurship to help poor people and children in need. We are – and want to be – a small and efficient organization that works closely with local, resourceful people in Africa. Our projects are mainly in Kenya. We are working within the areas of education, agriculture, stimulating local industry, water supply, roads, and assistance to orphans. The money we receive from our donors always goes directly to the projects, and none of it is spent on administrative costs on European side. This also means we pay no salaries to those who work with us here. We keep our donors updated with frequent posts on our web page and Facebook. One of our latest projects is building and running the primary school Edustep Kyua Academy, close to Kitui, Kenya: http://bit.ly/1S59DKH

VAMØ Møbler & Interiør

VAMØ is a new approach to purchasing furniture in a era where online shopping is advancing at an enormous rate. The online market for funiture is only now getting started in Norway, and we are a part of it. Our main focus are four brands who focus on sustainability and recycled materials. And we are able to provide these to clients who live in such remote areas that they do not have access to these.

ShieldME

ShieldME develops a smart and insightful solution for monitoring residents in nursing homes. By introducing AI and digitalisation to the nursing home sector, we are bridging technology and care to increase the quality of care and bridging the existing nurse-gap. The elderly population over 65 years old is increasing rapidly at the same time as the nurse shortage in Europe is already projected to be over 600,000. This shortage is disproportionately affecting elderly in healthcare facilities. The Covid-19 pandemics have really highlighted the current care crisis.

IML Aeroseal AS

We use a new technology for sealing ventilation duct from the inside. The technology was developed in the US in 1994, but didn't reach the European market until 2015. In 2016 ImL Aeroseal started up in Finland, and as of September 1st 2020 we are breaking into the Norwegian market. Our product solves the issues with the traditional sealing of ventilation ducts; using tape and acryllic sealant to try and plug the leaks. Instead we build up a pressure inside the system and inject a small particle gas that finds all the small leakages and seals them. Not only is it faster, but also alot more effective than the previous method, which in turn makes it much more financially beneficent. With a ventilation system that has little to no leakage you extend the life of the engines and maximize the output of the fans. In addition you get cleaner air in the serviced areas. I became a part of this startup because with my 15 years of experience in the ventilation industry I can truly see the advantages of this method to improve the effectiveness of the ventilation systems and enhance the indoor air quality.

Kindernay Corp

Kindernay has developed the world's first, light-weight, robust, and reliable substitute to derailleurs. The Kindernay XIV. The story of Kindernay is a story about passion for cycling and new technologies. We ride trail, DH, freeride, enduro, XC, transport, and road bikes. Sometimes we ride hard, sometimes for fun. We’ve won national level races, and we’ve crashed. Sometimes we break stuff: bikes, parts, and legs. Beside, we’re also engineers, and have decades of experience in the development of complex mechanical devices. Our inventions are on the seabed, terra firma, and in space too. And we’ve delved deep, to bring about innovative transmission parts for automotive brands such as Porsche AG, VAG, and BMW, and heavy truck makers, like MAN, Daimler-Benz, Volvo, and Scania. But that’s another story. We are cyclist and we love our bikes… but we also want them to be better. We believe in a world where gear systems are internal; and here we are, having developed the worlds first, light-weight, robust, and reliable, real substitute to derailleurs. The Kindernay XIV. Kindernay is a registered trademark of CA Technology Systems AS, a limited liability corporation registered in Norway.
