MELK er et skeivt kulturtidsskrift med det formål å belyse, synliggjøre og formidle skeiv kulturhistorie i Norge, med særskilt fokus på perspektiver som er marginalisert innenfor LHBTiQ-historie. Majoriteten av de som jobber med og for MELK i alle ledd er skeive: redaktører, designere, illustratører og tekstforfattere. We are building Newcycle, because we want to end the throw-away society.   Every year our global society throw away 100 billion tonnes of materials. This obviously can't continue. At the the core of this issue lies a general perception that new things are more valuable than things we already own. Or that things new from the store is better than buying it used from someone else. We believe that if it was easier for people to treat the things they own better, keeping them maintained and in mint condition, this perception would change. We started Newcycle on an ambition to kickstart a circular revolution in retail and consumerism. The way we exploit our planet’s resources needs to change. The way we buy things needs to change. And the way we own things needs to change. With the Newcycle app, consumers can create an inventory of everything they own, to get an overview of their products. It's free to use the app, and we offer additional paid services, like reselling their used items. By giving consumers access to digital twins of everything they own, we make it easier for our users to maintain, repair, refine, buy and sell their products, regardless of whether they are the 1st, 2nd or 8th owner of a product. In the app The Newcycle app connects the owner of a product with the retailer who sold it and the producer who made it, for the entire life span of the product, benefiting both the consumers and the producers of the products. The positive result is longer use of the products and in the end recycling. We won’t change the world all by ourselves, but looking back ten, twenty or forty years from now, we’ll see that our role was a central one. The whole world is striving with textile waste! Most circular economy-based action plans are mostly based on recycling and sorting and not repairing, re-making, re-using and sharing. How can we combine sustainability, circular economy and women empowering in one practical local and global plan? In today textile market, clothing and textile sales rises while clothing usage has steadily declined! While the cost of repair service is high, the number of service providers is also very limited and considering all thrift solutions, the majority of secondhand materials are still going to Lindfield while it can be used as material. And as the last leg of this international picture, today's available solutions are mostly based on recruiting service providers instead of giving them the opportunity to be the owner of their business which make the sustainability of those models strictly dependent on the those business owners instead of relying on the owners of the practical knowledge and craft. Repasdo is a marketplace for unique, creative services of textile and relevant secondhand materials. It’s home to people providing special, extraordinary services and products, from repaired pieces to handcrafted and vintage treasures. While today’s main trend is into secondhand shopping online solutions, Repasdo focus is to provide possibility to create ‘added value’ instead of pure thrift store business model. By providing business and market opportunity (online store + learning, low cost material & equipment) to potential service providers, secondhand textile can be repaired or be used as raw material for new product (in as many different ways as service providers can manage to come up with). Repasdo Platform (as the first in its market) is to provide a platform for creating jobs, micro and small businesses (own by service providers) while providing practical learning and access to different type of secondhand textile as material and online stores as places for those businesses to thrive. We are three co-founders with background in strategic business and organizational development, application and software development, and fashion design and learning. Vår historie Mikalsen Utvikling ble stiftet av Andrè Mikalsen i 2015. Etter mange år med utvikling av nettsider ble det ofte et tomrom og ønske om å bidra mer når nettsidene var ferdig levert. Spørsmålet som hele tiden dukket opp var om kunden faktisk kunne få enda flere besøkende til siden. Selv om nettsidene så grafisk bra ut, var de optimale for konvertering til salg? Dermed startet ferden inn i markedsføring og de digitale kanalene. Etter mange kurs og sene netter ved siden av full jobb, var det på tide å omsette teori til praksis. Vår første kunde fikk over 30 nye kunder den første måneden, og måtte ansette 2 nye medarbeidere for å håndtere den drastisk økende kundestrømmen. Å levere digital markedsføring med slike enormt positive resultater, er så sterkt for oss at vi aldri kommer til å slutte å skape resultater. Å være med på å endre livene til menneskene bak bedriftene er en ubeskrivelig rørende følelse. I dag har vi et sterkt fokus på å hjelpe små og mellomstore bedrifter, da våre tjenester kan utgjøre en stor forskjell i bedriftens hverdag.
