Silverfish AS

We have invented an effective trap for long tailed silverfish, a pest spreading rapidly between houses all over Norway and northern Europe. The traps are effective for months, can be reused, and only biodegradable, non-toxic lure is used. We developed this trap as we found it to be more effective than glue traps in most cases, it doesn't need additional lure to trap this species of silverfish, doesn't need frequent replacement, kills insects instantly, you don't see dust and dead insects inside the trap, and traps are solid and can handle humid and wet conditions. We sell traps to consumers and businesses in Norway on our webpage and through resellers in other countries.

Disputas

Disputas is a small tech startup based in Oslo. We come from language technology, robotics, and philosophy. On a grant from the Norwegian research council (NFR), we are currently in the process of developing a digital platform for textual analysis in the educational sector. This summer we started developing the core functionality of the platform, and the first module is aimed at argument analysis. Our plan for 2021 is to expand the platform with modules for syntactic analysis of words and sentences, semantic concept analysis, and a module for law studies and juridical case processing. The premise of the project is to design the platform and the various modules in such a way that use generates data of a kind that is applicable for training novel machine learning services in the field of natural language processing (NLP).

Octo Ventures

Octo Ventures, based in Oslo, Norway, is an incubator that initiates, invests in, and develops companies together with external co-founders. Based on investment criteria that have proved to deliver superior returns, we have developed a proprietary algorithm that generates high-potential ideas. Our methodology combines best practices within innovation, product development, and business design to accelerate the process from concept development to MVP and commercial launch.

RockDenim

RockDenim er et e-handelskonsept som fokuserer på unike klær, hvor sortimentet består av klær som henter inspirasjon fra rock-, biker- og street-kulturen. I Norden er RockDenim ledende innen sin nisje. På kort tid har RockDenim vokst fra under trappen på en studenthybel til et selskap som omsetter for over 50 millioner i Norge, Sverige, Danmark og Finland. Nå satser vi videre med ekspansjon til nye land utenfor Norden.

FISKHER AS

We have produced a unique app for fishing (so far in saltwater, Norway). After 6 weeks, we have been downloaded 85.000 times, in Norway. We combine the knowledge of the best fishermen in the country with AI, being a unique app for all types of fishing people. We combine 50 years of knowledge with cutting-edge technology, making the best fishing-app for everyone wanting to go fishing!

SquarePeg AS

Apple made one of the most iconic ads “Here’s to the crazy ones” to lift their campaign “Think Different” in 1997. This ad was so “new” and controversial that it since has made history, and is now part of most curriculum in most marketing schools around the globe. It was written by Rob Siltanen, Creative Director for TBWA/Chiat/Day and Creative Director at Apple Lee Clow. It wasn’t Steve Jobs, but it was he who made the quote famous (Originally it was the voice of Richard Dreyfuss in the ad). This, for us marketing geeks, is food for thought, awe and inspiration. Not because of the text itself, Steve as a celebrity, but for what impact that ad had on its audience. Knowing now, in retrospect, the ad was basically describing Steve himself, and beautifully put together with famous “rebels” of their field, we cannot help empathizing and relate to the ad, the history and the text. Don’t get us wrong, we are no rebels. We do not contribute to any groundbreaking tech innovation or have a goal of changing the world. What we believe in, is changing the way advertising is perceived, consumed, and targeted. The glory days of “buying a TV ad and you’re set” have long passed. The effect of “Here’s to the crazy ones” can still be archived, and is our goal in everything we do. We are forever inspired by Steve Jobs, and his rebel being, and we named our company after his ad, written by an agency. The agency does not matter, the sender does.

Minuendo

At Minuendo we are passionate about sound and the sense of hearing. We are equally concerned about the state of hearing for both consumers as well as professionals, ranging from musicians to workers in the construction industry. Minuendo was founded in 2018 by a team with extensive experience in acoustics, hearing protection, and product development. Our mission is to deliver category-defining hearing protection products that users will truly enjoy wearing and that will provide real protection.  Shortly after starting the company, we raised a total of EUR 2.5 million from investors such as Construct Venture and EU grants to accelerate our development. Minuendo is a fast-growing start-up based in Oslo. The founders have a track record of start-ups and product development. We have raised NOK 25 million since we started the company in the fall of 2018. We have offices in the loft at Pakkhuset close to Stortinget.  We are just about to launch our first product internationally and we need your help to make sure we succeed with product marketing and reaching users online that we otherwise would not have sold to through traditional channels. What we have made is a new high-end prosumer earplug that reduces noise and protects your hearing, while maintaining high fidelity of ambient sounds, such as music from your own instrument or at concerts. The technology and product are unique, and so must our digital marketing.

It is the only product of its type monitoring heartbeat, temperature, lying position and baby’s cry. It is based on ground-breaking research and provides valuable information to parents through a mobile app. Safety is a high priority for families, and the trend shows a growing market within baby monitoring systems. We have a reliable, competent and experienced team who will succeed in turning the prototype into an attractive product.

Yearbase AS

After working in the digital marketing industry for several years, we identified some problems with existing tools. Problems: 1. Tools available for search engine optimization are solely targeting specialists and professionals. 2. Tools available have too much data for a regular person to navigate through 3. You need several tools to cover the first part of the customer journey (Acquisition, Behaviour, Conversion). 4. There are approximately no tools in the market that processes web statistical data automatically, based on unique algorithms to identify user intention, valuable user segments, positive/negative trends in channel data, etc. Additionally, there are no tools in the market that merges SEO data, website statistics, and conversion data altogether, to produce a better holistic view and understanding, which constitutes the first part of our perspective on the customer journey (Acquisition, Behaviour, Conversion), in order to automate and analyze these data for the customer. By having this merged data and applying the latest technology as machine learning and artificial intelligence together with in-house developed algorithms, we could produce insight for our customers in a much better way, a lot faster. We are therefore making insight easier, which is our motto and goal.
