NewSchool develops innovative digital tools for collaboration and project based learning by combining agile working methods, psychology, games and mobile media.The tools draw on a set of successful business practices  - the kanban boards for Lean Management, adapted to education purposes, in real-time. By focusing on the organization of the process, not its content, it helps develop self-regulation and collaborative skills for 21st century learners. We are an education technology start-up, with extensive change management experience, unique insights in workforce trends and technology, and pedagogy at its core. All team members have solid international experience from fields like mobile technology, business development and technology management, international education, instructional design, and learning sciences research.The team consists of Fredrik Harloff, Chief Executive Officer, and Mihaela Tabacaru , Community Manager, both co-founders of NewSchool, working full time. The third co-founder, Stian Hofslett Thowsen, works full time as a teacher and part of management team at Langaugen secondary school in Bergen, Norway. Besides the three co-founders, NewSchool relies on an interdisciplinary board of administration with senior level execs: Anne Posner, Bjarne Solhaug, and Paal Kaperdal, all with broad experience, covering international business development expertise, publishing house and human resources expertise, and digital transformation expertise. Frequent contributor and education research expert is Marina Hirnstein, PhD in cognitive psychology, expert in learning analytics .We have offices in Bergen and Oslo,  members of two incubators: Nyskapningsparken in Bergen (http://www.nyskapingsparken.no/) and SoCentral in Oslo, Nordic Center for Social Innovation (www.socentral.no). With an international mindset from day 1, we have been testing our product in classrooms across Europe, from Norway to Denmark, Portugal and Romania, to USA. The Nordic Food Supplements AS (NFS) produces mealworms destined for food industry, animal feeding, plants nutrition. Our focus is oriented towards B2B market, we  provide: - Live, dried and powder mealworms to farms, pets shops, zoos and specific food markets. - Frass (insects poop) is a very rich nutrient for plants which we intend to sale to plant shops and also on a stand alone webshop However NFS AS is also a wholesaler of dried larvae to niche markets/direct consumer. My name is Frederick V. Richard, the idea of starting with insects protein farming emerged on a road trip in France questioning my future in IT companies (Yes i left bugs for bugs!). I have been conducing research on the possibility of rearing insects in Norway for a year before even approaching people about this project. Only after studying the feasibility of the project i started to gather 1 partner, which leaded to 2 other partners with scientific  and entrepreneurship/leadership background. Our team is now composed with Elena, Pål and Espen. We then started our first pilot site in an old farm (not a garage) with just 6kg of larvae to ensure we gathered enough knowledge on rearing insects under specific conditions. Today we have a cattle of ca 1/2 tonne and will keep growing til the end of the year as we plan to expand our production.

Vår historie Mikalsen Utvikling ble stiftet av Andrè Mikalsen i 2015. Etter mange år med utvikling av nettsider ble det ofte et tomrom og ønske om å bidra mer når nettsidene var ferdig levert. Spørsmålet som hele tiden dukket opp var om kunden faktisk kunne få enda flere besøkende til siden. Selv om nettsidene så grafisk bra ut, var de optimale for konvertering til salg? Dermed startet ferden inn i markedsføring og de digitale kanalene. Etter mange kurs og sene netter ved siden av full jobb, var det på tide å omsette teori til praksis. Vår første kunde fikk over 30 nye kunder den første måneden, og måtte ansette 2 nye medarbeidere for å håndtere den drastisk økende kundestrømmen. Å levere digital markedsføring med slike enormt positive resultater, er så sterkt for oss at vi aldri kommer til å slutte å skape resultater.
