ESEBA, a deep tech startup from DTU, transforms low-quality textile waste into MDF boards without binders or formaldehyde. GLYON is developing a CO₂-powered textile-to-textile recycling technology to help brands, fiber producers, and recyclers solve the growing textile waste crisis with a breakthrough chemical recycling process that turns waste into virgin-quality raw materials for new fibers—without fossil fuels. We address the massive problem of textile waste, a global crisis where over 92 million tonnes of textile waste are discarded each year—most of it ending up in landfills or incinerated. This contributes to major pollution issues but also forces the textile industry to continue its dependence on virgin fossil-based materials. Our solution targets fiber producers, brands, and recyclers who need circular raw material solutions. Our CO₂-based chemical recycling process breaks down polyester textiles into building blocks and leaves other fibers like cotton intact. Both PET building blocks and cotton can be used to produce new, high-quality fibers without the need for virgin oil and reducing water consumption and CO₂ emissions.

HEKA VR is a medical software platform that enables Avatar-Therapy, a form of psychotherapy, to be conducted in a Virtual Reality or in a Telehealth setting. VR-based Avatar Therapy combines psychology and VR technology to provide transformative interventions for mental health disorders. Grounded in research, this therapy utilises virtual reality and avatars to create immersive experiences. Through the concept of embodiment, individuals psychologically connect with their avatars, leading to significant changes in thoughts and behaviours. In schizophrenia, Avatar Therapy helps patients gain control over auditory hallucinations, but Avatar Therapy holds promise for improving mental health outcomes among patients with Eating Disorders, PTSD, Bipolar disorder, Borderline disorder, Major Depressive Disorder and many more. Heka VR was born through a public-private partnership and research project called The Challenge Trial - initiated in 2019, funded by the Danish Innovation Fund and with the final research results published in The Lancet Psychiatry in July 2025. The results show that VR based Avatar-Therapy is a an effective new treatment method for 7/10 patients with treatment resistant Schizophrenia. Currently Heka VR is involved in 10+ clinical trials and studies around the world, from North America to APAC.
