Molecular Quantum Solutions (MQS)

Our software tool provides predicted properties of (bio) chemicals based on data-driven algorithms and quantum chemistry, which helps to reduce the number of experiments in R&D. Every (bio)chemical process or product needs physico-chemical properties (e.g. solubility, density) data to simulate unit operations and flowsheets of chemical manufacturing processes. Also, the formulation of products such as more sustainable solvents or more efficient materials need property calculations for designing these products. Scientists and engineers at biotech companies usually fail to develop and simulate new processes and products because: (I) the experimental data for specific molecules are not available, (II) no physical property models have been developed for the desired compounds which give satisfiable predictions, (III) measurements are too time- and material-consuming to perform. MQS has developed a software which provides novel property prediction models based on machine learning and quantum chemistry (Figure 1), in which the input from experiments can be reduced or is negligible. Therefore the number of experiments, material, labour and time are saved which translates to reducing R&D costs in a 407 billion $ industry [1,2,3]. Freelancerhub

Freelancerhub helps IT agencies to manage their freelancers.   Freelancerhub makes it easy to find the best freelancer for the customer's needs. At its core is an innovative, self-learning algorithm which clusters synonyms and establishes relationships between technologies. Thereby it is the first platform that can find matches in related data, which hugely increases the chances of finding relevant freelancers. Around this algorithm a platform has been developed managing the data of freelancers. Many skilled IT people excel at their work, but are lost between thousands of CVs. Freelance agencies rarely use more than 10% of the freelancers in their database. There lies a huge potential in activating the remaining 90%. Our mission is to enable IT freelance agencies effectively to find the best matches between a given task and their CV database. Thereby the focus can shift from finding any match to finding the best.

Trebo

Trebo is a cleantech startup that develops and manufactures a novel fluid-mechanical based plastic sorting technology. The sorting technology enables the plastic industry to sort large-scale plastic-type mixtures and transform the industry’s production waste into valuable resources. The Procurement costs on virgin materials are reduced and the environmental impact from incinerating or dumping plastic waste is eliminated. The annual global production of plastic has in 2019 exceeded more than 300,000,000,000 kg and even though the majority of plastic waste is suited for recycling purposes, more than 90% of the global production of plastic is either incinerated, deposited or dumped in nature. As the production of one kilogram of virgin plastic on average requires three kilograms of natural oil, the plastic industry is a global large-scale consumer of fossil fuels and therefore an important intrant in the green and sustainable changeover of the industry. Due to the wide palette of applications and physical characteristics of plastics, many end-user plastic products consist of one or more different types of plastic. As the quality and application performance of mixed plastic is decreased critically compared to the pure counterpart, plastic mixes are often considered as waste and therefore incinerated or sold to a price significantly lower than the price of the virgin plastic. Industrial waste streams of mixed plastic constitute approximately 60% of the total plastic waste stream. We believe it is critical to develop technologies that effectively sorts and restores the value and physical properties of the virgin plastic. At Trebo, we are environmentalists and our vision is to make the global plastic industry more sustainable and renewable. We hope that you will join us on our adventure.

Scaleup Finance

Scaleup Finance is founded by entrepreneurs, and we know the pains of being a scaleup CEO. One of the biggest recurring pains is the general administration surrounding bookkeeping, payroll, auditing, financial modelling and other admin-type tasks. They drain the founders of energy. Yet another pain is that no solution completely fit a scaleup company. The big accountancy firms or smaller bookkeeping companies/persons are not only expensive but also insufficient. Right now, no offer understand scaleup companies nor are they designed for their needs. The category is stuck in old ways of working, and scaleups do not get any added value. We need to move into a new generation of financial steering to help value creation in scaleups. Scaleup Finance is put into the world to challenge this. We are always one innovative step ahead, and we aim to become a crucial form of actionable business intelligence where you can effectively get an overview of everything which relates to controlling your company. All of this based on unique insights of scaleup companies.

SimplyPrint ApS

SimplyPrint is cloud software for managing and monitoring 3D printers. 3D printing has grown quickly over the past decade, but the software infrastructure around it is still fragmented and often difficult to manage, especially when multiple printers are involved. Schools, makerspaces, companies, and print farms often run several printers at the same time, but lack a simple way to monitor them, manage print queues, track usage, or help users interact with the machines remotely. SimplyPrint was created to solve exactly that problem. Our platform connects directly to 3D printers and provides a centralized interface where users can monitor prints, manage printer fleets, organize users, and control printing activity. For organizations running many printers, this dramatically simplifies daily operations. Today SimplyPrint is used by more than 75,000 users worldwide, ranging from hobbyists with a single printer to universities, schools, businesses, and professional print farms running dozens of machines. The company started about 6 years ago, directly after the founder finished high school. The first years were spent experimenting, pivoting, and rebuilding the platform several times. The current version of the platform (SimplyPrint 2.0) has been in active development for the past few years and has seen strong adoption and growth. One of the unusual things about SimplyPrint is that most of the growth so far has been organic. The product has spread through the 3D printing community largely through word of mouth, SEO, and user recommendations. The company is 100% bootstrapped and runs as a small, lean team based in Denmark. Today the team consists of three full-time members and several part-time contributors, with the core team also holding equity in the company. Despite the small team size, the platform now generates roughly 200,000 DKK in monthly recurring revenue and has grown significantly over the past year. The majority of customers are located in the United States, followed by Europe, as the global 3D printing market continues to expand. As the technology becomes more widely adopted in education, manufacturing, and product development, the need for reliable management software is increasing rapidly. SimplyPrint aims to become the standard platform for managing 3D printer fleets, helping organizations run their printers more efficiently while making the technology easier to access and use. We believe the market for 3D printing software is still early, and that a focused, product-driven team can build a significant global company from Denmark.
