UNYA Copenhagen is a volunteer-driven youth organization dedicated to empowering young people to engage with global challenges through the lens of the United Nations’ values and the Sustainable Development Goals. We create an inclusive platform where students and young professionals can learn, collaborate, and take action on issues like climate change, social inequality, peacebuilding, and innovation. We are addressing a clear and growing problem i.e. the disconnect between youth and global institutions. Many young people in Denmark care deeply about sustainability and justice but find it difficult to access meaningful opportunities to participate in international dialogue or contribute to real-world impact. This gap leaves motivated individuals without a channel to apply their energy, creativity, and ideas, while institutions miss out on fresh perspectives and engagement from the very generation that will inherit the future. UNYA Copenhagen bridges this divide by turning global ideals into local action. We organize interactive events, workshops, and panel discussions that make complex global topics accessible and relevant. Our activities are co-created by volunteers from diverse academic and cultural backgrounds who bring their own insights to the table. Through collaboration with universities, NGOs, and public institutions, we connect youth directly with experts and decision-makers, fostering a sense of shared responsibility and agency. What makes UNYA Copenhagen unique is our grassroots approach. We are not just an organization — we are a community that thrives on collective energy and creativity. Every project is designed by young people for young people, ensuring authenticity, inclusivity, and long-term motivation. Our strength lies in our diversity and the genuine commitment of our volunteers, who bring the UN’s global mission to life in a way that feels personal and actionable. The motivation behind UNYA Copenhagen is simple: we believe that youth engagement should not be limited to classrooms or conferences but should become a lived experience. We started this initiative because we wanted to make international dialogue tangible, local, and inspiring. Our team members share a passion for learning, community-building, and positive change — values that drive us to dedicate our time to building something meaningful together. Today, UNYA Copenhagen continues to grow as a platform where ideas turn into impact. Plus-Plus is on a journey to Inspire creative minds through open-ended play. We want to engage with consumers around the world through timeless products that encourage creativity. One important step in this journey has been to launch our DTC webshop that should be a platform for inspiration and the possibility to purchase our entire assortment. We have a small but very dedicated team but we realize that we need more resources to boost this journey even further. Plus-Plus was developed in the eighties in Holbæk, Denmark. The idea was to create a simplistic toy that would spark the imagination and creativity of children of all ages. The educational market immediately saw the potential in Plus-Plus and supported the idea of simplicity and open play in schools and kindergartens. Today, Plus-Plus is internationally recognized as a high-quality toy brand and the winner of multiple product awards. We are proud of our Danish heritage, and we continue to produce Plus-Plus at our factory in Holbæk. In 2012 we opened US sales offices in South Carolina and Ohio, and Plus-Plus is currently distributed in more than 40 countries around the world. Plus-Plus is a socially and environmentally responsible company. We work with non-profit organizations to support hospitalized children, and our factory and headquarters run on 100% green energy from wind power. All products and packaging are 100% recyclable.

Our mission is to make it easy and cost-effective to monitor and optimise the energy consumption of every building. By combining millions of data points and the power of artificial intelligence, our system is capable of gaining deep insights into your buildings’ energy performance. We create a structured plan to save energy – the smart way. Did you know that building operations contribute to about 28% of global greenhouse gas emissions? Unfortunately, the current energy optimisation processes are slow and expensive. Using data and machine learning we can solve many of the inefficient steps in the process, including robust identification, prioritisation, collaboration, verification and monitoring of energy optimisation efforts. We currently cover over 18,000 buildings and have helped save more than 6,000 tons of CO2. Our team consists of 15 members spread across 4 countries, with our headquarters located in Denmark (Aarhus and Copenhagen). We also have active sales efforts in DK, Nordics, and the UK.

WALLY and WHIZ is based on a dream to make one winegum for the whole world. One world, one winegum. Winegums from WALLY and WHIZ can be eaten by everyone, regardless of religion or cultural preferences. We wish to set a higher bar for how great a winegum can taste. Our winegums are vegan, free from artificial colours or flavours, and are lactose free, glutenfree and free from gelatine. We get our inspiration from all over the world, but with a heritage in the scandinavian culture for using clean, fresh and natural ingredients. We want to challenge the conventional tastes and are not afraid to present unconventional tastes such as turmeric, anisisop, rosehips, pine shoots etc.

Workee is a lightweight mobile-first app that connects job-seekers with companies around them. Following its motto “Less is more,” Workee has made the hiring process as simple and fast as possible. This approach has been especially popular with fast turnover jobs in the service industries, such as restaurants, retail and construction. Among the companies hiring through Workee are brands like 7-Eleven, Rema 1000, Aldi and others. According to the customers' feedback, they consider the app to be the fastest and most effective way to close their job openings.

Since our foundation in 2004, NAKED Copenhagen has quickly grown to become one of the largest exclusive sneaker and apparel retailers for women globally. In a market often dominated by the male perspective, we work to empower, support, and inspire women through sneakers. CAMAR is a new innovative Danish software company founded in March 2017 that now works in an international context (currently Denmark, Sweden, U.S.A., UK and Latvia). CAMAR has nine highly skilled active owners, two FTE and in process of expanding the organisation. CAMAR has invented a technology `TacTile Pinpoint´ that enables existing touch devices to provide tactile feedback while “hoover” with a finger over a screen. In April 2018, we granted the US patent for its technical fundament and it continues to develop worldwide patent applications. The first edition of Software Development Kit (SDK) is in place and demo app prepared and about to start PoC projects with international companies. CAMAR’s proprietary and patented technology “TacTile PinPoint” uses vibration to dramatically increase the tactile feedback from touchscreens, affording users a much more intuitive experience, while reducing the need to look at the touchscreen. TacTile PinPoint enables a much safer interaction with touchscreens, especially in situations where a moment’s distraction can have disastrous consequences, such as driving or operating machinery.

Founders House and Startup Village, is a community of almost 50 tech startups building companies side by side, helping each other succeed. Notable community members, past and current, include Realm, Vivino, Peakon, Planday, Autobutler, Brain+, Woomio and Dixa. Founders House is the most dedicated tech co-working space in Denmark. GreenMobility operates an efficient free-float carsharing platform with around 1,400 electric cars in Copenhagen and Aarhus. With thousands of daily trips, we help reduce traffic congestion and have a positive climate impact. GreenMobility exists in the market driven by a number of important mega-trends – urbanization, sustainability, and sharing economy, and is listed on Nasdaq Main Market. TEDx was created in the spirit of TED's mission, ideas worth spreading. Started as a four-day conference in California 30 years ago, TED has grown to support its mission with multiple initiatives. The two annual TED Conferences invite the world's leading thinkers and doers to speak for 18 minutes or less. The program is designed to give communities, organizations and individuals the opportunity to stimulate dialogue through TED-like experiences at the local level. At TEDx events, a screening of TEDTalks videos - or a combination of live presenters and TEDTalks videos - sparks deep conversation and connections. TEDx events are fully planned and coordinated independently, on a community-by-community basis.  Many of these talks are then made available, free, at TED.com.
