Uizard is the easiest collaborative design tool for non-designers — powered by AI. We are on a quest to empower anyone to create digital products, regardless of their design or technical background. Over the last few years, we have seen a dramatic increase in the need for people outside of design to be able to contribute ideas. Unfortunately, all current design tools are targeting designers and have a step learning curve before being able to fully utilize them. Uizard is the design tool for non-designer allowing anyone to communicate their ideas easily and bridging the gap between the design departments and the rest of the company.

ÅBEN was founded in 2017 in Kolding, where it began as a brewery at the childhood farm of Philip Hulgaard. What started as a hobby alongside a full-time job has since grown into a passion and a way of life. After opening its doors on June 9th, 2017, things moved quickly. ÅBEN was named Brewery of the Year in 2019, marking the beginning of an exciting journey. Since then, ÅBEN has created the electronic music festival O Days, founded the beer festival Kalas, and opened bars in Aarhus, Kødbyen, Roskilde, Copenhagen Airport, Carlsberg Byen, and Nordhavn - with more to come. ÅBEN’s first beer, which has since turned into a signature beer, is called Bryg 61 (Brew 61), named after the number of attempts it took to get the recipe exactly right. Today, ÅBEN produces new beers every month which has led to an archive of more than 400 beers, spanning wide from generously hopped IPA’s, and full-bodied imperial stouts to a wide selection of distinctive sours. In a short span of time, Upsound has become the leading platform for recording studio rental in Denmark, both on an hourly- and session basis. We facilitate a large number of crowdsourced studios throughout the country that rent out their studios through our platform, as well as a vast network of music producers, sound-engineers and songwriters. And in 2024, we changed our name from Juicebox to Upsound, re-branded ourselves at upsound.com, and are ready to take our first international steps! But why is there a need for a platform like ours? Countless musicians across all music industries does not have access to recording studios, which is both due to a lack of studios, that access to studios is often based on personal networks, as well as the fact that existing studios are often very expensive, and the common users therefore cannot afford to use them. But despite this, many studios are often empty, as most of them are rented on a monthly basis by only one or a few owners who does not use them full time, but finding renters for the available days and/or hours can be time consuming. At Upsound we try to solve both problems. With our crowdsourcing of existing studios across the country, we can highlight all the offers out there, thereby bringing the customers and the studio owners together. As of today, we have onboarded 40+ professional studios to our platform, have 1000+ users registered, and have facilitated over 800 bookings. But why us? Because we have experienced the problem ourselves as musicians. We, like many others who start making music, did not have a large network of friends in the industry, and we did not know any producers, sound engineers, or studios, and we certainly did not have money for what we could find on Google. We are therefore heavily dedicated to solving this issue, but have also seen the potential for a highly profitable business endeavor. This combination is why we went directly from university, to working full time on Upsound, to creating a team that have all the necessary skills to solve any problem we may encounter, to being adopted into Innfounder Graduate, to landing our first investment in December 2023, and our ambition is not only to solidify ourselves in Denmark, but to become the leading platform for recording studio rental in Europe.
