What's the problem? Bras are mindlessly mass-produced for a narrow selection of body types. Standard bra sizing is based on only two measurements, forcing 2 out of 3 women to settle for a bra with the wrong size, wrong fit, and terrible comfort. Upwards of 70% of women suffer daily discomfort from bras in the wrong size and fit, that are just not designed for their body type. If we are unable to find something that fits, that can create a sense that no-one has seen a body like ours before. The inability of the general fashion industry to create garments for the individual not only creates heaps of waste and overconsumption - it toys with our sense of self and how we see our bodies. Even though the industry is getting better at showing us diversity on catwalks and photoshoots, that mindset rarely manifests in the products. We are here to change that. How? Our technology works as a digital tailor, intelligently mass customising wirefree bras. Our proprietary algorithm calculates customers individual bra size and shape based on their body measurements, and we produce on digital production machinery - meaning that we can produce almost hands-free, eliminating overproduction and textile waste. We will make a dent in the universe by finding, importing and distributing Europe's most tasteful plant-based food products. We have been at this for a year, have delivered boxes full of plant-based products to over 1.000 private individuals, and have now successfully entered the retail and food service market with our product portfolio. Many galleries are formal, exclusive, and intimidating, leaving talented artists without a platform to share their work. Art enthusiasts, on the other hand, are looking for a more relaxed, intimate experience where they can appreciate art at their own pace and engage with the creative process. This gap affects both the artist's exposure and the audience’s ability to connect deeply with art. At Galeria 18, we are solving this by creating a dynamic space that blends a gallery with a creative hub. Our gallery showcases modern art from both emerging and established artists, offering a platform for creativity, connection, and growth. In addition to exhibitions, we host workshops and courses led by the artists themselves, fostering a community where artists can share knowledge and connect with visitors. We aim to break down the barriers between artists and the public, making art more approachable and interactive. The motivation to start Galeria 18 came from a deep desire to create a space where art can flourish in a non-intimidating, vibrant atmosphere. I, Karen Dulong, have always been passionate about both art and entrepreneurship. With my background in strategic design and entrepreneurship and my own experience as an artist, I saw an opportunity to create something different – a gallery that not only showcases art but also acts as a creative haven for both artists and the community. This gallery is my way of supporting artistic talent and making art a more inclusive, shared experience.
