In just 6 months, SKJOLDET has attracted over 12,000 users, demonstrating significant demand for accessible and intelligent cybersecurity solutions. Phishing has become the largest cybercrime across the globe affecting both individuals and companies. In Denmark, 200,000 people are defrauded annually, costing over 1 billion DKK for both private individuals and financial institutions, as well as the loss of image and business for companies being used in scam. Furthermore, phishing accounts for more than 90% of cybersecurity breaches worldwide, making it an easy point of entry for larger attacks. Digital fraud and phishing have become easier through artificial intelligence and pre-made kits that break down language barriers and exploit humans through social engineering techniques that defraud victims regardless of age and technical knowledge. Social engineering also called “hacking the human” is a crucial part of the criminals’ techniques that lures users into divulge information. Central is influence, persuasion and use of authorities. A scam number takes an average of 45 seconds, where many often do not have time to stop and check for signs of fraud due to a busy everyday life when taking advantage of stressful periods. Likewise, current companies’ fraud detection methods fail to detect fraud proactively, because it is hidden behind multiple links, barriers and special domains making it hard to scrape the internet because websites change constantly. SKJOLDET is an AI- and algorithm-based browser extension that proactively protects individuals and businesses against online fraud, such as phishing attacks, fraudulent webshops, and fake competitions. By detecting and warning users about malicious websites in real-time, even before they are known scams, SKJOLDET enables safe online navigation across all devices and browsers. We focus on continuously improving our AI-driven technology to stay one step ahead of evolving cyber threats. SKJOLDET ensures cybersecurity is simple, proactive, and accessible to everyone, regardless of age, technical expertise, or financial resources.

Rispons helps member-based organisations connect effectively via smart mobile messages. The email inbox is flooded with both important and not important messages, which basically prevents effective communication and engagement. The average individual gets around 100 emails on a daily basis, including everything from important to not important messages, advertising and spam. As a consequence, the email open rate, engagement and response rates drop significantly and makes it harder to properly get your messages out to your target audience for a fast response. My interest for mobile engagement started when working with email marketing and personally seeing the (lack of) engagement from your most important audience. Another key issue is the lack of response you get when you are competing for people's attention via email. When I created Rispons I wanted to create a personal and effective channel to bypass all the clutter in the email inbox. I wanted everything to be fast, mobile first and extremely effective, but without anyone downloading another app. This is why I created a browser-based platform that can message anyone that owns a smartphone, and get much higher and faster engagement.

Herodesk is a fully remote tech startup based in Denmark. We have created a new customer service platform for small and mid-sized businesses and webshops. Our mission is to make customer service easy. It should be easy for our customers to use Herodesk, which in turn should make it easy for their customers to get the help they need. To achieve that, we've created a helpdesk and live-chat product that is simpler and cheaper than the alternatives. Our product was launched in September 2023. Now, a year later, we have close to 100 paying customers, with more being onboarded weekly. Our founder, Anders Eiler, has previously co-founded SpeedGaming and Meebox, and led the DanDomain E-commerce division (a >€10M rev. division). Based on those learnings, it was clear that a simple and affordable customer service platform was missing for small and mid-sized businesses. So in the summer of 2023, he founded Herodesk and entered a deep-red ocean with many established competitors, but with a mission to make great helpdesk software available for the masses.
