Rope Robotics is the developer and producer of an automatic BR-8 robot to be used as a unique repair solution for leading edges on turbine blades. Wind turbine blades need to be repaired to maintain their high performance. With manual labor turbine blades can only be repaired 20% of the time during a year due to the fact that it requires technicians to climb up with support from ropes. Using our robot to do the repair and maintenance work in the heights, we are going to expand this repair window and to improve the working environment for the technicians. We have several robot pilots in the pipeline in various places around the world and have received major funding from the EU and Danish Government.

Fischer Lighting is a sustainable front-runner who has developed a unique circular business model where waste is transformed into new beautiful lamps that make buildings more sustainable and people healthier. In 2023, Fischer Lighting saved more than 53 tons of discarded lamps from being thrown away, and with the concepts ReUse, ReDesign, and ReCreate, unique lighting solutions are created in a beautiful and industrial design that meets all the requirements of a new lighting fixture. In addition to environmental sustainability, social sustainability is also an important part of the concept. Therefore, all the old lamps are separated and assembled by people on the edge of the labor market in Denmark. At the same time, the lamps are equipped with the latest technology, which, among other things, enables circadian lighting, which can stimulate the production of hormones in our body and create better well-being for people in buildings.

ESEBA, a deep tech startup from DTU, transforms low-quality textile waste into MDF boards without binders or formaldehyde. We offer a sustainable, non-toxic alternative to traditional wood-based panels. Textile waste is a massive and growing problem in Europe – less than 1% is recycled into new products, and most ends up incinerated. At the same time, formaldehyde regulations are tightening, and deforestation pressures are increasing demand for alternatives to virgin wood. Turning global cropland into a permanent carbon sink. We are bringing Greenlandic Glacial Rock Flour (GRF) to the world to drive a shift towards sustainable, productive, and carbon-negative agriculture. GRF is a naturally occurring, ultra-fine mineral powder formed by glacial erosion in Greenland and available in billion-tonne quantities. When applied to croplands in warmer climates, it enhances soil health and permanently captures atmospheric CO2 through enhanced rock weathering, effectively transforming farmland into a long-term carbon sink. But the really exciting part is what this enables for farmers: - GRF reduces reliance on synthetic fertilizers - you can apply less than before. - This directly reduces nitrogen leaching into the aquatic environment, as well as volatilization - A single dose acts as a slow-release fertilizer, with multi-year effects that increase the value of your soil rather than decrease it. - Farmers can opt in to monetize the carbon credits, offering an alternative revenue stream. Field trials across Denmark and Europe confirm the potential: GRF enables sustainable intensification and carbon capture at scale. Farming that supports both productivity and climate goals.
