UNYA Copenhagen is a volunteer-driven youth organization dedicated to empowering young people to engage with global challenges through the lens of the United Nations’ values and the Sustainable Development Goals. This gap leaves motivated individuals without a channel to apply their energy, creativity, and ideas, while institutions miss out on fresh perspectives and engagement from the very generation that will inherit the future. UNYA Copenhagen bridges this divide by turning global ideals into local action. We organize interactive events, workshops, and panel discussions that make complex global topics accessible and relevant. Our activities are co-created by volunteers from diverse academic and cultural backgrounds who bring their own insights to the table. Through collaboration with universities, NGOs, and public institutions, we connect youth directly with experts and decision-makers, fostering a sense of shared responsibility and agency. At Startak we design and manufacture control systems for solar trackers used in large solar photovoltaic plants, to increase the energy production by 10-20% (depending on latitude). We are devoted to accelerating the development and adoption of technologies that can help fight climate change by actively removing CO2 from the atmosphere. The challenge We are emitting 50 Gigatons of CO2 every year, and that needs to be reduced by at least 80%. However, that still leaves 10 Gigatons of CO2, and we need to get all the way to zero. Trees are great, but we need many more solutions as well if we are to get to zero. Currently, most of these are way too expensive (and limited in capacity) for companies to use. We've developed a platform that combines methods and makes it available to every company that wants to compensate their emissions. We work with cutting edge technologies, including Direct Air Capture, Bio char, Bio oil etc.

Fischer Lighting is a sustainable front-runner who has developed a unique circular business model where waste is transformed into new beautiful lamps that make buildings more sustainable and people healthier. In 2023, Fischer Lighting saved more than 53 tons of discarded lamps from being thrown away, and with the concepts ReUse, ReDesign, and ReCreate, unique lighting solutions are created in a beautiful and industrial design that meets all the requirements of a new lighting fixture. In addition to environmental sustainability, social sustainability is also an important part of the concept. Therefore, all the old lamps are separated and assembled by people on the edge of the labor market in Denmark. At the same time, the lamps are equipped with the latest technology, which, among other things, enables circadian lighting, which can stimulate the production of hormones in our body and create better well-being for people in buildings.

Abrigo in Spanish means jacket - and the latin origin word, connotes shelter. We want to make cycles a a form of shelter so that we are able to bridge the transportation gap whereby summertime cycling far outweighs wintertime cycling. We are starting with heated seatwear, and are going to expand into handles and pedals, in due course.
