At ARIS, our ultimate goal is to create a world without waste. This means transforming linear processes into circular ones. The first step towards effective recycling is good sorting. We develop scalable and automated solutions using deep learning to recognize and sort waste efficiently. Currently, we are serving our beachhead market—public recycling centers. Here, we assist visitors in correctly sorting their waste, extending the lifespan of materials and reducing the need to extract more raw materials from our limited planet. STAC Technology is a hardtech cleantech R&D Engineering company was started in 2016 and has been going through a speedy development since 2020 and is now funded by EIC, European Innovation Council and the commercialization phase in 2024-2027 will be funded by a consortium consisting of EIB, European Investment Bank and others.

We’re a biotechnology company creating something new, valuable and useful from what otherwise would be trash. In a circular business model we upcycle food waste into alternative biodegradable materials as a supplier internationally and in DK. In this way we solve a waste management problem. We are devoted to accelerating the development and adoption of technologies that can help fight climate change by actively removing CO2 from the atmosphere. The challenge We are emitting 50 Gigatons of CO2 every year, and that needs to be reduced by at least 80%. However, that still leaves 10 Gigatons of CO2, and we need to get all the way to zero. Trees are great, but we need many more solutions as well if we are to get to zero. Currently, most of these are way too expensive (and limited in capacity) for companies to use. We've developed a platform that combines methods and makes it available to every company that wants to compensate their emissions. We work with cutting edge technologies, including Direct Air Capture, Bio char, Bio oil etc.

Fischer Lighting is a sustainable front-runner who has developed a unique circular business model where waste is transformed into new beautiful lamps that make buildings more sustainable and people healthier. In 2023, Fischer Lighting saved more than 53 tons of discarded lamps from being thrown away, and with the concepts ReUse, ReDesign, and ReCreate, unique lighting solutions are created in a beautiful and industrial design that meets all the requirements of a new lighting fixture. In addition to environmental sustainability, social sustainability is also an important part of the concept. Therefore, all the old lamps are separated and assembled by people on the edge of the labor market in Denmark. At the same time, the lamps are equipped with the latest technology, which, among other things, enables circadian lighting, which can stimulate the production of hormones in our body and create better well-being for people in buildings.

ESEBA, a deep tech startup from DTU, transforms low-quality textile waste into MDF boards without binders or formaldehyde. We offer a sustainable, non-toxic alternative to traditional wood-based panels. Textile waste is a massive and growing problem in Europe – less than 1% is recycled into new products, and most ends up incinerated. At the same time, formaldehyde regulations are tightening, and deforestation pressures are increasing demand for alternatives to virgin wood. ESEBA’s mission is to enable local, circular board production through a scalable, plug-and-produce production line for furniture manufacturers.
