Maker is a member-based non-profit association founded in 2015 as a platform for the maker movement in Denmark and the Nordics. Since then, we've evolved from a traditional makerspace into an open lab and community central for physical entrepreneurs, startups and independent creatives. We develop, share and learn together with our members and across projects in the EU, in Denmark and in the Baltic Sea Region. Together with research institutions, companies, makerspaces and governments, we focus on sustainability and physical entrepreneurship; from open-source hardware to distributed design, aiming to transition makerspaces into circular spaces and develop sustainable practices for recycling materials, local production, and more.

Using technologies such as quantum chemistry and probabilistic machine learning, we have developed a set of breakthrough digital tools that help energy, chemicals and pharma companies develop greener products and more sustainable processes.

Disruptive Biotrading is a newly formed biotrading company focused on the trading of sustainable byproducts for the Scandinavian biogas industry. We are already moving large volumes monthæy and are experiencing rapid growth. We are involved in innovative research projects, and setting new standards within the physical commodity trading world.

Mission: We provide real-time and accurate measurement solutions to optimize environmental and chemical processes to achieve a greener, cleaner world. Vision: Making mass spectrometry accessible to everyone for any test environment. Description: Using our proprietary microchip inlet technology, we are able to bring mass spectrometers out of the laboratory and into the real-world. We already provide benchtop analysis systems for electrochemistry and battery research which we sell to research institutions around the world. We have tested and are currently developing the commercial version of an online industrial sensor version of our system for real-time measurements in biogas production facilities and wastewater treatment plants.

CityCharge is a fast growing startup based in Oslo Norway. It was founded in 2018 and is currently receiving support from InsjUIO incubator, and collaborating with Xplorico and other partners. We are launching our product and services to Stockholm Sweden in 2020. CityCharge gives users' mobile phone power on demand through its network of portable power banks, whilst providing venues with a unique marketing tool driving customer flow. Users can find CityCharge stations in their favourite venues, like shops, restaurants and cafes, all over the Nordics. Open the app to find the stations near them. CityCharge’s portable power banks include cables for all types of phones with fast charging service, giving users the freedom to charge on the go. Users can return the power bank to any CityCharge station in the network, from the local cafe to the favourite nightclub. CityCharge's mission is to give users opportunity to be powered and stay connected any time any where, and to turn that need into venues benefits. In short term, we provide power bank sharing service for charging the phone.

UNYA Copenhagen is a volunteer-driven youth organization dedicated to empowering young people to engage with global challenges through the lens of the United Nations’ values and the Sustainable Development Goals. We create an inclusive platform where students and young professionals can learn, collaborate, and take action on issues like climate change, social inequality, peacebuilding, and innovation. We are addressing a clear and growing problem i.e. the disconnect between youth and global institutions. Many young people in Denmark care deeply about sustainability and justice but find it difficult to access meaningful opportunities to participate in international dialogue or contribute to real-world impact. This gap leaves motivated individuals without a channel to apply their energy, creativity, and ideas, while institutions miss out on fresh perspectives and engagement from the very generation that will inherit the future. UNYA Copenhagen bridges this divide by turning global ideals into local action. We organize interactive events, workshops, and panel discussions that make complex global topics accessible and relevant. Our activities are co-created by volunteers from diverse academic and cultural backgrounds who bring their own insights to the table. Through collaboration with universities, NGOs, and public institutions, we connect youth directly with experts and decision-makers, fostering a sense of shared responsibility and agency. The decentralized and the fragmented second-hand market creates a time-consuming and frustrating experience for shoppers to locate desired items among incomplete listings and outdated platforms. THE SOLUTION Koral aggregates millions of second-hand listings into one searchable platform with categorized, indexed data to create a one-stop solution. This eliminates tedious searches across individual platforms, making shopping second-hand is easier by improving discoverability and streamlining the process of finding desired items online.

We are an impact-driven startup from Denmark with the mission to make zero-waste constructions happen with our circular material platform. Our product is an end-to-end solution that leverages data and automation to make it easy to efficiently plan, manage, and circulate building materials. We are a team of experts in engineering, construction and enterprise SaaS development, and we are turning material waste into profits for construction projects. More importantly, we avoid up to 1.5% of the global CO2eq emissions resulting from the construction industry.

Rumett casts paper-free mineral wall panels from gypsum and bio-ash. The surface is finished at the point of casting — no paint, no filler, no finishing step. The panels are solid mineral with no paper facing, cast 13 mm thick in a 600 × 1200 mm reference format, and screw-fixed to a supporting steel or timber framework rather than glued. Because the fixings stay accessible, a panel can be removed and reinstalled in a new layout instead of being broken out. The panels are classified A1 for reaction to fire in accordance with EN 13501-1:2018, issued by DBI. The classification applies to the product defined in the report; coverage of sealed or lacquered variants remains to be confirmed. The report is available on request. Rumett is based in Copenhagen and won the Danish Design Award 2025 in Young Ideas. We work with architects and interior fit-out teams on sample requests and project documentation.
